I have such a hole in my heart, Josh was one of my favorite people here on Pulse. I remember getting to know him well through PBB, and I can't process this. When I found out earlier, I didn't want to believe it. I thought it was a cruel joke or suggestion, and when I read the obituary, I broke down. I'm going to miss his humor. I remember he was one of the first followers of my personal chart... I can't believe this. This year has been one filled with loss, and this is absolutely devastating, especially following the loss of Dudley.
RIP, Josh... Nothing but love. <3

In absolute shock. Josh is very much the fabric of Pulse and had so much energy to share here as recently as a couple of days ago. It doesn't even make sense to me to actually be typing this, but rest in peace Josh.

No. No. Oh my god, I can't handle this. f**k.
Hearing about Dudley was hard enough, and I hadn't even talked to her before. But Josh was the first person on Pulse that I ever called a friend. This just isn't possible. We used to talk all the time, and while we haven't too much recently, he's remained one of my absolute favorites on here for five years. He always had such a fun energy and was able to add a lighthearted spin to pretty much anything. Yet so caring and intelligent as well. And let's not even mention his iconic post and like counts.
This is just too hard to believe. I need to sleep.
Rest In Peace Josh. I have so much love for you, and I'm gonna miss you so much <3 :'(

I'm so cathartic right now. Josh was one of the first people on here I talked with and became friends with. He was a sarcastic sweetheart. Few members on this board even come close to having such a huge impact on this board. This just doesn't feel real. He always seemed so vibrant and full of life. I never imagined this would happen.
RIP to a Pulse icon. Gone way, way too soon. He will forever be missed.

I'm just barely proccessing the loss of Dudley and now Josh is gone as well...I don't have the words to properly say what's on my mind right now.
I've been a member of this board for 7 years but I have only been recently trying to become more social. I never got to know Josh but he was one of the reasons I've wanted to try to get more involved in the Pulse community. I would always see and read his posts and the joy and fun he brought to the board where inspiring. I never got to tell him that. If it weren't for him and a few others I may have never ventured outside the Country Sub-Forum.
I'm devastated by these losses, and my thoughts are with his closest friends from the board and with his family and friends off the board.
We lost two great people this week and the board will never be the same. RIP Josh.

I'm shocked to say the least. I'm finding myself refusing to accept that this is real. Josh was one of the first friends I made on Pulse. We used spend hours and hours in the games section. We had a 500+ page PM, and that's not even counting the PM's from the older version of Pulse. I had no idea his condition was this severe. I always assumed he'd pull through and be able to control it enough to live a long happy life. 23 is way too young to die. I did not see this coming at all.
Josh was someone that was never afraid to say what he wanted to say. Coming from someone with crippling social anxiety, he'll always be inspiration to me.
Rest In Peace. The forum won't be the same without you.

josh has always been one of my favorite posters on Pulse. I'm in shock right now. This on top of Dudley's passing, it just all seems so surreal.

This is really shocking. While I didn't know he had Crohns, I'm also pretty confused considering he just posted I think yesterday or the day before. He was entertaining to. RIP :(

I'm so truly shocked and saddened. Can't really express my feelings right now (still trying to process the passing of Dudley/Dev). My thoughts are with his next of kin and all of you who interacted with him. R.I.P. Josh

Heartbroken.
I can't make sense of any of this happening this week. Why? Why do terrible things like this have to happen to the best of people? Josh was a one-of-a-kind person, the type of person you are lucky to have as a friend that could always say something that made you smile on your worst days.
The loss of two of Pulse's most integral members is going to devastate our community if it has not already. After this week Pulse is never going to be the same as it once was. I know that most of us have never met one another in real life, but this loss hurts just as much as it would if somebody in our every day lives suddenly passed away. We are a community, whether we drive each other crazy or not, and the pain and the loss that we are all experiencing is very real.
Rest easy, Josh. I am so, so sorry that I had to just type that out. I'm heartbroken.

I've spent the evening questioning a lot of things, cheesy as that may sound. I'm thinking a lot about how my life has changed in the last several years since I started posting regularly here for better or worse, how it's been a constant or a distraction when other things suck, and wishing I hadn't deleted my account so many times, so that maybe I could revisit the early conversations he and I had via PM.
I've also been noticing a trend in these responses, in that so many say he was one of their first friends here or that he was one of the first to reach out to them, and that's certainly true of me as well. That's an indicator of who this dude was- friendly, outgoing, lighthearted. He certainly resembled those qualities more than I do. What a f**king waste that someone so good and genuine is gone. It's a f**king disgrace and I'm sick to my stomach all over again about it. The guy was always around, reliable. He didn't fake anything. He kept up with his personal charts whether it was cool to do so or not. He made new friends whether or not it was "cool" to do so. I wish I was what he's going to represent in my mind from now on.
People who he reached out to owe it to him to be more like him and be more genuine and outgoing with people. It's really really easy to say RIP to people on the internet and give empty eulogies and this can't be one of those times.
I donated to the linked cause because that's a contractual thing I could do to make a dent rather than tossing out hollow words, and if people can't do that it's totally understandable. If you can't though, make it a goal tomorrow to say hi to someone new or reach out to someone who might possibly become a friend because that's what he was about.

What the f**k is this?! I can't... what...
God, this is depressing. I had no real interactions with Dudley so I kept a bit of distance from her thread but I did actually know Josh on some level so this is... gah. I have no words. Josh was kind of a friend to me (I'm not entirely sure where we stood on that 'cause he annoyed me sometimes and I know I can be abrasive when I want to be) so this actually hurts a little.
Maybe it's because I wasn't as close with him as others were but I didn't know exactly what his medical issues were or that they were even that bad. I feel terrible right now.
RIP Dudley. RIP Josh. Urgh what a week... :'(

It was always a delight to PM Josh (we had some pretty long conversations). He was extremely funny, witty, and sarcastic and we discussed a lot of topics together. I'll always remember fondly how passionate he was about his college course, how he wanted to pursue his career and what happened every semester when he had to pick which classes to take.
Not only that, but he also showed a lot of interest in what I was doing and encouraged me to keep going. He always had a supportive word and made me laugh so often.
I still can't wrap my head around this. I'll miss him greatly.
May you rest in peace, Josh.

Okay, wow. This actually hits hard. While Dudley's death was sad, Josh and I conversed a decent amount and I considered him an online friend. This is crazy. :(
RIP, Josh.
