I'm gonna blend America and Japan's Billboard Year End here, a J-Pop song, Yoru ni Kakeru ended the 2020 Billboard year 1 and 3 in 2021 on Japan's YE while Blinding Lights ended the 2020 and 2021 Billboard Year at 1 and 3 respectively.

Two Hot 100 debuts this week are about pressure, one goes "I don't want no drip" and the other goes "drip drip drip"

This is for last week's chart (January 8), but I just noticed that the entire Pop Airplay top 12 stayed the same from the previous week!! And I'm not quite sure how this being the week after Christmas and year-end countdowns would cause it, and I don't recall such a match-up happening any other time on any chart! (minus the old days when they froze the charts the last week of the year).
Pop Airplay (1-8-2022)

Can we talk about how the biggest hit released in 2020 so far (chart run and total consumption), during the pandemic year is called 'Life Is Good'.

Future (who's already proven himself a time traveler with his 2017 hit "Mask Off") just made that song to prepare us

I'm bringing up The Weeknd again, him and Ed Sheeran both had YE chart toppers one (Blinding Lights and Shape of You) and then had a song that ended the year at 2 the year after (Save Your Tears and Perfect) and funny enough, they both had remixes from a big female artist (Ariana Grande and Beyonce).

Circles and Sunflower ended up next to each other at #66 and #67 in the ARIA Top 100 Singles of 2021 chart. What's remarkable about this is that Post Malone released them in 2019 and 2018, respectively.

On this week’s Hot 100, Cold Heart (PNAU Remix) by Elton John and Dua Lipa, a song that samples Sacrifice by Elton John, appears directly next to Sacrifice by The Weeknd, at #10 and #11 respectively.

Taio Cruz and BTS both had songs named Dynamite. They were 10 years apart and they made 2010/2011 and 2020/2021 year end lists.

Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson both made their first appearances on the Year-End Hot 100 directly next to each other in 2021, at #95 and #96 respectively. Their very next charting entries on the Hot 100 are for the exact same song, as their collaboration Never Say Never debuted at #79 this week.

The pop charts currently feature a song called Sacrifice and another song (Cold Heart) which borrows lyrics from a different song called Sacrifice.
