The Chainsmokers Closer was number 2 on EDM Charts Year End on BOTH 2016 and 2017. But..... the funny thing is..... The number 1 song of 2016 and 2017 for EDM was also a Chainsmokers song.... Don't Let Me Down in 2016 and Something Just Like This in 2017. So basically the blocker of Closer each year was none other than themselves, and..... Closer was also bigger overall than both DLMD and SJLT.

"Pray For Me" is both the 44th Hot 100 entry of The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar.

How Long by Charlie Puth is at #21 for 5 weeks. If it makes another week at #21, it will be 21/21/21/21

The first chart of each of the first three months in 2018 was dated as the third day of the month.
January 3, February 3, March 3.

^I don't think that'll ever happen again, given that the January 3rd dated one was just a transitional to the new chart dates.

Missed this last week, but a Chris Young song ("Losing Sleep") and a Brett Young song ("Like I Loved You") dropped out of the Hot 100 at the same time.

God's Plan followed this week by Meant to Be in the Hot 100. Coincidence?

I was looking at Shania Twain's chart history, and she seems to be the queen of having the most songs spending multiple consecutive weeks at one position, and 4 seems to be her magic number!
Starting with Come on Over in 1999, she had 4 consecutive singles on the Hot 100 each spending 4 consecutive weeks at one position!
Come on Over, #58 (1999) I'm Gonna Getcha Good!, #34 (2002) Up!, #73 (2003) Forever and For Always, #36 (2003)
And of course, earlier in her career, You're Still the One spent 8 consecutive weeks at #2 (of 9 weeks total), one of the longest stays at #2 in Hot 100 history.
On the album chart, I also noticed that The Woman in Me had two separate 4 consecutive week runs at #16, although the source I was looking at might have been for the comprehensive albums chart, so the official Billboard 200 might have been a little different.

Two songs with "Japan" in their titles ("Lost in Japan" by Shawn Mendes and "Japan" by Famous Dex) debuted this week.

Revisiting God's Plan followed directly by Meant to Be, that happens in both the Hot 100 and Official Singles chart (in this case thanks mostly to the reduced streaming value coming into effect for God's Plan this week). Another coincidence?

I wonder if there's been any other instances of multiple songs on the Hot 100 charting the same week with the same country in their titles, not counting the U.S./America.

Has anyone mentioned the single appearance each of The Verve Pipe and The Verve within months of each other in the late 1990's?

Aside from WMYB all of 1D's top 10s debuted in that region, all at their peaks.
Lauren Jauregui and Marian Hill collaborated, and both had hits called Down (Lauren with 5H, Marian alone).
Every female #1 on alt this decade became a Top 10 on the Hot 100 (We Are Young, STIUTK, Royals, Team, X&O). Will "No Roots" continue the streak?
The two biggest songs (UF, Despa) of the decade were by one hit wonders (Ronson, Fonsi) featuring a pop superstar (Bruno Mars, Bieber)

Lil Dicky's "Freaky Friday" is #1 in the UK... on a Friday. Lame, I know.

All the artists involved with the two Top 10 hits from this decade called "I Like It" are all Latinx.

It's a more gender-inclusive way of saying Latino or Latina (and when I say gender-inclusive, that also includes non-binaries who need that term the most).

Nice For What debuted at #1 in the US & Canadian Billboard Hot 100 by dethroning a song which also debuted at #1 (God's Plan in US, then Call Out My Name in Canada)

In 1975, a single titled "Eighteen with a Bullet" hit #18 on Hot 100... and had a bullet that week.
John Lennon's song 'Number 9 Dream' peaked at #9. Johnny Rivers's song 'Seventh Song' peaked at #7.
Count Five's most successful song was "Psychotic Reaction" peaking at #5.

I mean, "Latino" is already the gender neutral term. I've never heard that used. I honestly thought it was a typo. The term hasn't exactly entered the mainstream yet, so it's understandable a lot of you don't know it. Still, I have seen it being used plenty of times on Twitter, and it has been gaining traction in the last few years, so you may see this word pop up a lot more in the near future. If you want to educate yourself a bit more on its usage, you can read this TIME article about it here.
