Got her CD at Walmart today and, luckily, it wasn’t edited....however, the lack of a damn photo shoot and pictures pisses me right off. I’m not even upset about her hitting #2, cause really, what effort did you put into this era? Other than two performances, and a music video. Grr. It does not feel like an era, but a Beautiful Trauma part two. And if she sold it like that, than I’d be less annoyed. I do enjoy the album though, so I’m not complaining about new music cause I’m sure it’ll be a while before new stuff. The minimal album packaging definitely gives off a “leftovers” but only 50 of us probably bought the physical thing anyway so I’m sure there wasn’t much incentive to book a photo shoot.

I think it's the labels cutting budgets and really if she had a smaller promo budget it's probably better to not get a photoshoot and instead maybe spend it elsewhere. Plus the stunning cover actually makes up for me any photoshoot. I actually don't think this is a leftover project either, the whole album has cohesiveness that her last two didn't imo.

I maintain she’s yet to make a truly bad album.

Whenever she’s asked, she always changes the topic to the collaborators or gives a really broad answer. I dunno, I just don’t believe this wasn’t a forced album. Yes, the cover is gorgeous, but again, it’s an old pic turned into a cool piece of art. Now, I do love it, it just seems like a cheap era. But that’s just me.

What we haven't done is a P!nk album rankdown series though, that's something we can still do.

Saw her tonight in Fargo. Such a great show. I bought the MP3 album from Amazon the other night, and they were selling the CD for $5 so I got that as well. I couldn't resist since I own all of her other albums on disc.

From her answers, I got the impression that these were brand new songs she wrote and recorded while touring (which was a first for her) and not a collection of songs left over from the BT sessions that she didn’t want to waste. It does feel like an extension of BT but I wouldn’t have expected any real stylistic deviation in sound with this album coming so quickly on its heels (or in general based on the sound of her last 4 albums).

Love Me Anyway IMO will stall. High burn rate, also imo.
Lastly, she’s not going to say they’re leftovers. But I’m pretty sure Courage was recorded earlier, not sure the others. You don’t need to agree with me m, this is just my personal opinion and I’ve been following P!nk hardcore since M!ss. Yeah, she might have continued recording but that’s was probably to add more songs to the album that was planned for a while...there’s a definite reason for it. And I think that reason is because she’s doing MASSIVE tour after the last leg of this current tour; she needed new music to entice and keep momentum going. I’m guessing a 20 year celebration tour.

Listening to the album all morning, I enjoyed it much better than I expected. I suppose this one's going to be more of a grower whereas BT was immediate.
1. I'm Not Dead 2. Beautiful Trauma 3. Funhouse 4. M!ssundaztood 5. Hurts 2B Human --- 6. The Truth About Love 7. Try This 8. Can't Take Me Home
The Stapleton duet absolutely needs to be a single. I'm not sure what they should go with for HAC / Pop after Walk Me Home. Maybe the title track or Can We Pretend.

What we haven't done is a P!nk album rankdown series though, that's something we can still do. I was toying with that idea after revisiting her albums prior to the release of H2BH but now I’ve been committed to doing the Ciara album series and idk if I’m ambitious enough to juggle 3. But this needs to happen because most of her albums are awesome!

Forgive me 'cause I haven't seen it, but why would peeps argue? I thought it was basically confirmed more than a few are leftovers? I'm not being snarky, just honestly thought this was like a KNOWN thing? Also, Circle Game still takes my wig... like damn :'(

It’s funny how often I see Cant Take Me Home low on people’s ratings. I feel like there’s only three not great songs, Let Me Let You Know and Love Is Such A Crazy Thing, and Do What U Do. Although gotta love an equality song.

So now that debuted at #1 are we all happy?... no label dropping her, etc?
Compared with her previous albums, this is the one with less filler.
My preference: 1. 90 Days 2. Can We Pretend (I was not impressed when it was released, but now I'm hooked) 3. Happy 4. Hustle 5. Hurts 2B Human 6. We Could Have It All 7. (Hey Why) Miss You Sometime 8. Walk Me Home 9. My Attic 10. Circle Game 11. The Last Song Of Your Life 12. Love Me Anyway 13. Courage

So, I have lived with this album a little and I still maintain it is her best, for the reason Daniel stated above. (Good look on Can We Pretend and Happy being so high on your list, btw; but I will ignore your placement of Love Me Anyway). Also, while Courage sounds like Sia to the max, I love the adlibs at the end and find myself getting swept away by the emotion. Also, Hustle grew on me more. Very catchy and it sounds like it could have been on Missundaztood, honestly. I guess I am just here more for Adult Contemporary Alecia but I also like when she is soulful, so I want her to bring a little of Black P!nk back. Really though, there isn't a style of song this woman can't sing. She has proven to be quite versatile through the span of her career.

My preference order is:
1. Love Me Anyway 2. The Last Song Of Your Life 3. Can We Pretend 4. 90 Days 5. Walk Me Home 6. Hurts 2B Human 7. Circle Game 8. My Attic 9. Hustle
I tend to pass over the other four. I'm happy that she went #1 after all!

What I don’t like about Love Me Anyways is Chris voice. I don’t think it goes well with P!nk’s voice, but I like several of his solo songs.

I’ve grown to enjoy Courage, it just sounds so much like a Sia song, that it doesn’t feel like a personal song for P!nk.
