Vocals superb. Good album track (enjoy the production). I wouldnt play this for someone or go out of my way to hear it but irs a nice change.

I liked WAU, but not so much that I planned to get the album immediately. I was thinking of getting it a few months later after the price came down. But “Beautiful Trauma” is f-ing gorgeous. Hands down better than anything on the last album, and her best in a while.

She leads off with a powerful lead single with a message about current events. The title track is strong pop ballad about traumatic love. And now this third song is another dark ballad. She's never started off an album era this "heavy" or "serious". |

The New York Times article was excellent. She's a lot more self-aware than I thought she was (her audience not being into streaming, being over 35 and pop radio airplay, people being tired of her flying during performances).
