Ok, so I have found a possible Billboard error...

Bruno Mars' "24K Magic" rises 6-4 on the Hot 100, reaching a new peak (passing its prior No. 5 high first set upon its debut six weeks ago). Mars performed the song on the AMAs (the night's first performance), helping spur its 4-2 lift on Digital Song Sales (79,000, up 38 percent; good for the top digital sales gainer award on the Hot 100) and 10-7 trek on Streaming Songs (17 million, up 40 percent). On Radio Songs, it climbs 5-4 (112 million, up 4 percent). The song is the lead single and title track from Mars' third LP, which debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (231,000 equivalent album units).

Rounding out the Hot 100's top five, Zay Hilfigerrr & Zayion McCall zoom 8-5 on the Hot 100 with "Juju on That Beat (TZ Anthem)," hitting a new peak and reaching the top five for the first time (and earning the top streaming gain on the chart). Leading the way, the track pushes 4-2 on Streaming Songs, up by 46 percent to 35.1 million, fueled by a rise in user-generated TZ Anthem Challenge videos featuring the song's audio, with notable spikes on Thanksgiving (Nov. 24). Also adding buzz, the day before (Nov. 23), the Detroit duo performed "Juju" at halftime of the Detroit Pistons' NBA game; the pair then performed it the next day (Nov. 24) during halftime of the Detroit Lions' annual NFL Thanksgiving game (although the performance was not televised).

On Digital Song Sales, the track retreats 13-16, but with a 10 percent gain to 36,000; it continues to bubble under Radio Songs (17 million, down 2 percent).

They probably switched up the formula as they always do each year. It just so happened that the margins were wide enough that we didn't notice last week.

Remember Bruno's sales were affected by CMA, which takes away from the digital songs number. However, the sales aren't taken away from the actual Hot 100 points.

I'm pretty sure they always tell us in an article when they change the formula, so I would assume if they haven't mentioned anything then they haven't changed it.

Also, whilst they did do it at the end of the chart year in 2013 and 2014, they didn't in 2012 and 2015 (in both cases they did it a few months afterwards in the following year, specifically the weeks that Harlem Shake and Work debuted iirc). It appears they haven't changed it this year, but they might decide to change it in a couple of months.

I still don't get how YouTube is going up while iTunes and Spotify are crashing. You'd think they're all closely related to overall popularity.
But even with songs like "Panda" the streaming limit was reached after a few weeks.
I know it's only a small chance for "Starboy", but a chance nonetheless. It'd have to keep up for the next week or so at least with this boost it just got.

I find it how funny how each viral dance song gets more and more boring and lazy sounding. That I Got Skills thing or whatever it's called is SO BORING. The instrumental is terrible and the vocalist sounds like they're trying not to fall asleep. But whatever, unless it gets into the top 15/10 I'm just going to ignore its existence

I think it's just that once Youtube picks up a song, it NEVER lets it go.  Uptown Funk's still at #13.  Panda's still at #14.  Watch Me's still at #16.  And they'll probably be just outside of the top 20 this time next year.

Yeah, you're right. Gangnam Style ended up #14 in the 2014 Year-End Streaming Songs chart even though it charted in the Hot 100 in 2012 and 2013.

That list only counts what can be seen inside the viewable current and recurrent charts on AllAcess. AIWFCIY has long since been sent to gold status, which hasn't been available to view for a few years now. We won't see it on this list. It will appear on Billboard's Radio Songs, though.

It's already spent 5 weeks at #2, and it definitely return to #2 this week because of closer declining and the album release, and there's nothing really headed for the top two except for maybe Juju.

The record is 10 weeks.

Ew wtf is that "I Got Skills" audio.

Personally, my most hated viral hit is Bet You Can't Do It Like Me which sounds a lot worse than this generally. But, that new one doesn't even sound like a song. It's just some monotone guy talking nonchalantly, kinda like me whenever I try to sing along with a song

It doesn't even feel like the I Got Skills singer is human. It literally sounds like something from Portal sang without varied tuning. The forced pauses on the "Breathe!" and similar phrases don't help make the song not feel really calculated, almost as if a computer literally autogenerated it.

But yeah, 13 million US YT streams. I guess we'll see in a few hours what that'll be good for on the Hot 100.
