I'm trying to create a list of holiday songs that are at least somewhat regularly covered. Here is what I have so far:

Christmas Time is Here Deck the Halls Do You Hear What I Hear Feliz Navidad The First Noel Frosty the Snowman Go Tell It On the Mountain God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Grown-Up Christmas List Happy Xmas (War is Over) 20. Hard Candy Christmas Hark! The Herald Angels Sing Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Here Comes Santa Claus Holly Jolly Christmas Home for the Holidays I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus I'll Be Home For Christmas It Came Upon A Midnight Clear It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas 30. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year Jingle Bell Rock Jingle Bells Joy to the World Last Christmas Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Little Dummer Boy Little Saint Nick A Marshmallow World Mary Did You Know? 40. Mele Kalikimaka Merry Christmas Baby Merry Christmas Darling My Favorite Things O Christmas Tree O Come All Ye Faithful O Come O Come Emmanuel O Holy Night O Little Town of Bethlehem Parade of the Wooden Soldiers 50. Please Come Home For Christmas River Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Run Rudolph Run Santa Baby Santa Claus Is Coming to Town Silent Night Silver Bells Sleigh Ride 60. Someday At Christmas This Christmas Up on the Housetop We Need A Little Christmas We Three Kings We Wish You A Merry Christmas What Child Is This What Christmas Means to Me White Christmas Winter Wonderland 70. Wonderful Christmastime You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch
New year's songs: Auld Lang Syne What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?
What else has been covered at least a handful of times? I'm sure I've missed a few, but regardless it's crazy how few there are in the grand scheme.

Thank you for the replies! I edited to add in some of the ones mentioned, but have questions/comments about others. I love this topic. I would add: We Wish You a Merry Christmas Deck the Halls The Twelve Days of Christmas O Christmas Tree We Three Kings I know these carols, but do artists actually record it for their holiday albums? Based on the titles, I don't think I know these. What are some popular versions? I know Stevie's version, but are there others? Must Be Santa Christmas Time Is Here The Man With The Bag Jolly Old Saint Nicholas "CTIH" is on the list, but based on names I have seriously never heard of the other three songs. What are the most famous versions?

What are the most famous versions? "The Man With The Bag" has been recorded by Vonda Shepard (Ally McBeal soundtrack), Trisha Yearwood, Diana Krall, Brian Setzer and Lee Ann Womack (I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones that I can think of right now). "Must Be Santa" - LeAnn Rimes' version comes to mind. It's also been recorded by Bob Dylan, Mitch Miller and Raffi (probably others too). "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" is an old traditional song. At the moment, I can't think of any mainstream versions.

Well, now that it's become so common to record originals, this list could likely really be expanded (though not really in that a lot of the new originals haven't been covered). More so, my point is the list of holiday songs has really expanded, and we now have a lot more to listen to than the same 25 it used to be.
