That's it for now, I'll reveal the top 10 on Wednesday or Thursday! (I could do it tonight, but I may not have the time) Could you like one of my posts or tag me when you update the deviation scores?

That's it for now, I'll reveal the top 10 on Wednesday or Thursday! (I could do it tonight, but I may not have the time) Could you like one of my posts or tag me when you update the deviation scores? The last time I update the closeness scores was before I posted #20-#11. As of then, you are still last in terms of closeness for the Pulse Rankdown (Dr. Indie takes the honor for being last in closeness for the actual YE chart). Rockmandattebayo is first in terms of closeness for the actual YE chart, and I'm first with regards to the Pulse Rankdown. You also are the only one not to have any of your top 10s in the top 10 of this rankdown. For the rest of you, here's how many top 10s you have left: Daryl: 5 Leaf: 5 Red: 5 Thewebinator: 5 Georgetherunner314: 4 Peacebone: 4 Wheatsquares33: 4 Figurative: 3 Lordeftones: 3 Rockmandattebayo: 3 Timmierz: 3 Dr. Indie: 2 James: 2 MikeTheMoose: 2 Raccoon: 2 Sam: 2 Bangwave: 1 Hep: 1 Daryl, Figurative, Leaf, rockmandattebayo and thewebinator are also the only ones to have their entire bottom 50 revealed.

yoooooo "Nightlight" out before the Top 20 is a crime against humanity. Also losing "Bang Bang" and "Run Or Hide" out of my Top 5 really hurts (especially Run River North bc I thought they'd go far), but since we're right by the Top 10 anyway they made it reasonably far and had to go out at some point I guess. Looking at the remaining 10 songs, I still have 5 Top 10 tracks and my lowest ranked is at #37 (prob only still here bc of pop posters ), which I'm pretty happy about. Pretty surprised "Kiss This" and "Genghis Khan" made it as far as they did, but I'm not complaining.

Wow, didn't think Bang Bang would be out this early. Guess the pop posters really weighed that one down. Thought Walking on a Dream would last a little longer too.
I'm fine with most of the other songs being out though, especially since I still have 3/10 of my top 10 left, including my number 1 (which I have no idea how it managed to last this long tbh).

Whoa, cleaning house on my top 10. Shocked to see a lot of the songs from my top 10 in people's bottom 10's.
I cant believe First was so high that song is like two years old now.
If Way Down We Go is #1 I'm never playing one of these games again. Interesting selection of songs that remain. Pleasantly surprised Genghis Khan is still around. Two NBT songs is crazy and Trip Switch I think has a good chance at being #1

Okay one of my dark horses is still in.
I was soooo hoping "Run or Hide" at least finished in the Top 10. Such a great song that did so poorly.
Incredibly surprised that "Kiss This", "Genghis Khan", "Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)", and "Wake Up Call" are still around. Only one of those I don't particularly like, and the other I could take it or leave it. The other two are solid, but not Top 10 worthy imo (well none of these four are).

my opinions of the top 10:
the good: FOALS
both NBT songs are in which is ok, I don't think they're THAT great a band honestly
SSP still in which is nice
Miike Snow in the top 10 is pretty weird, but I'm not complaining
RHCP made a decent song so obviously it's gonna be top 10
the bad: 21P is still in. tbh I have gotten really sick of these guys lately, and idk if my high rankings of their songs are justified atm...
The Struts have overstayed their welcome
Bastille is meh, and I feel like it's the strongest contender for #1 here, which I don't agree with at all
the ugly: KALEO

Thoughts on top 10:
REALLY surprised both NBT songs are top 10, though I suppose I can't complain. Trip Switch seems like it could be #1 which wouldn't be my first choice but I'd be fine with it. I like Wake Up Call more but I know I'm in the minority and I doubt it'll be higher then Trip Switch.
I still think Good Grief is one of the more likely #1s given that it's a song that both pop posters and rock posters like and no one really hates it. I'd totally be down for seeing that be first, as while it's burned on me a bit and I think I ranked it a bit too high in retrospect, it's still a great song.
I'm not surprised Genghis Khan made it to the top 30 and even top 20, but I didn't think it would make it this far. I'd be pretty surprised if it went top 5, let alone won, but I'd actually love to see that happen -- it's a great song and would be a cool underdog victory. If it won it would likely be because many people, including the pop posters, enjoy it a fair deal and no one hates it, similar to Good Grief.
I didn't think Way Down We Go would make it this far given how many people don't like it, but I'm actually quite happy it's survived this long. Yes it's pretty overplayed but it's a great song. I feel like it'll be out pretty early in the top 10 but I could be wrong.
Stressed Out is sort of similar to Way Down We Go in that it's one of the more polarizing songs left, but unlike WDWG I only think it's good and would not want to see this win, let alone go top 5. I don't think that'll happen, but I feel like it will outpeak WDWG.
I don't think Dark Necisities will win, but I do think it has a good shot of going top 5. I personally am pretty meh towards the song (Go Robot is a better version of it IMO -- why didn't that song get higher again?) but I suppose I wouldn't be upset if it did win. If it did it would likely be because of relative indifference.
I'm pleasantly surprised Circadian Rhythm made it this far and even outpeaked Nightlight. I doubt it'll make it top 5 but I really really hope I'm wrong, that song is amazing. It's burned on me a bit due to me playing it a ton but it's easily one of the highest quality songs left and I still really enjoy it.
Kiss This is definitely my favorite single by the Struts but I never loved it and I'm quite tired of it so I'd prefer not to see it do much better. Decent chance to make top 5, but probably won't win luckily.
I think Mountain at My Gates would be the highest ranked song if it was only rock posters ranking the songs, but I have no idea what some of the pop posters think of this so that's a huge x factor. I'm gonna predict that this will go top 5 but won't win because of one or two pop poster rankings. Good song, wouldn't be sad if it won though I'd prefer it to be some of the other songs.
Predictions: 1. Good Grief 2. Trip Switch 3. Mountain at My Gates 4. Dark Necesities 5. Kiss This 6. Stressed Out 7. Wake Up Call 8. Genghis Khan 9. Circadian Rhythm 10. Way Down We Go
Not feeling too confident about the order of 1/2 and 8/9/10 but everything else I feel somewhat confident about. But idk.

Okay, first things first: I am absolutely stunned that "Bang Bang" is out before the top 10. Didn't really see that coming at all, nor did I see the lack of pop poster support coming. I thought that CHVRCHES would get a bit more pop support, too, but I can't complain about top 20 for that song.
Okay, like Figgy, here's some rapid-fire thoughts:
I still feel confident about "Dark Necessities" being a #1 contender, though I'm definitely seeing quite a bit of indifference to the song, which could prevent it from being #1.
Kaleo isn't going #1, as there are too many people that don't like it, but I'm happy to see it do this well.
The road is definitely being paved for "Good Grief" to be #1, though I still wonder if the people that don't like the song were enough to prevent that from happening. Though, really, as long as "Stressed Out" isn't #1, I don't really care what #1 is.
I'm actually not surprised to see both "Trip Switch" and "Mountain At My Gates" in the top ten, because I figured the love that the rock forum has for those two songs would shine through, but NBT getting two top ten songs is a bit of a surprise. And because of that, there's a real chance that "Trip Switch" could be #1 now. If "Wake Up Call" is getting this kind of support...
"Genghis Khan" making the top ten...kind of baffled and okay with it at the same time.
Yes, "Circadian Rhythm"! I thought that the rock forum support would help it go pretty high, but top 10? Wonderful.
"Stressed Out"...sigh. I should have ranked it lower.

I can't beleive "Stressed Out" made it this far. It must be a lot of Popsters #1 song? Also Kaleo? Am I the only one who becomes comatose during that song? Anyway; I'm pissed as hell "Bang Bang' is Out. I figuered it would be at least Top 3? I did everything possible for it, by ranking it #1, but it is my highest charting song from that list as well. I used my own year end chart to rank my submitted songs.
I'm sticking with my Foals prediction at #1 for now.
..and I'd figure id be the farthest from the actual Alt chart. Honors is correct. ;)
BTW, #10 better be "Stressed Out". That pop song's number is up.

Definitely not the top 10 I was predicting at first, but here we are. I guess there's not really a bad song on here, though one I don't really care for, but I understand the appeal.
My prediction:
1. "Trip Switch" 2. "Good Grief" 3. "Mountain At My Gates" 4. "Way Down We Go" 5. "Dark Necessities" 6. "Genghis Khan" 7. "Wake Up Call" 8. "Stressed Out" 9. "Kiss This" 10. "Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance)"
