This will be the last Top 50, before I start compiling my top ? songs of 2017. I don't know how many I've charted, but I'm guessing a cool 150 songs for 2017. The chart will return the first week of January 2018. The excitement starts with Letters From The Fire; who will surely have one of the biggest hits of the year with "Worth The Pain". This week they hold the #1 position for a third week with "At War". This weeks chart also has a lot of movement. You will find most of that action in the 21 thru 30 slots. This also paves the way for the upcomming big hits of 2018. We have three debuts this week. All three from different sides of music. You got New Wave from Duchess Says with their new single "I Repeat Myself" You also have some Indie Prog rock from Everything Everything and their hit "Desire" coming in at #49, and finally debuting at #46 is Go West with their perfect, 1985, made song ,for 2017. "Determination" comes from the soundtrack "Fly: Songs Inspired by the film Eddie The Eagle" These songs were made precisely to sound like the 1980's by 80's icons. These include OMD, Howard Jones, and one of my favorite Sophisti pop bands of the 80's , Go West. HOT List: This week two songs from my Metal charts make their way onto the HOT List. First we have the new AOR Glam Metal band , Midnite City with "Summer Of Our Lives" The song has that uptempo rock sound of Night Ranger and White Tiger and should do really well in the top 50. Next we got Marilyn Manson with his new single called "Kill4ME". This is turning out to be the biggest hit in his career. When I say Biggest hit, I mean chart wise, because he is already well known for many hits. Some shitrag has flagged the MV so all you get is an audio track for this song. All I can say is f**k people who's minds are so small that they think they can save the world by flagging a rock video.  My last add is from a band who has had huge success on my charts. particularly this year with "Ti Amo". This week I'm adding Phoenix's,"Goodbye Soleil". They also have a new video for this with the same look they did for "J-BOY". I'm already compiling a hefty list with new music I'm getting ready to launch on my 2018 charts, once the new year commences.

*No new chart this week, but I'm giving a special showcase to Pretty Boy Floyd and their new album on Frontiers Records called "Public Enemies". Pretty Boy Floyd were on of my favorite "Sleaze" rock bands of the 80's. Steve "Sex" Summers, the lead singer had vocals with tones resembling Vince Neil and he still sounds great. Their music was straight out Party rock. The loud melodic guitars, banging percussion and anthemic lyrics about rocking all nite and parting everyday. The album is great. Not only the songs, but the recordings are almost exactly like the 80s . There is no loudness war going on here. Just crisp and clear instruments. "We Got The Power" is my favorite song for many reasons, but that killer bass breakdown has to be the main one. This one also has potential to break into my top 50 come the new year.

I'll bring back more colors ,and sleeves next week, but we do have a brand new #1 song from a band, that also debuts a new song this week. It's the indiepop band; Wayfarers, and there first ever charting song; on my top 50 ;"KINGS. As you can see there was some action since I last posted my chart, but I did keep track of it. Apart from this week's 4 new debuts, you also have a few new songs rising up the list from Foo Fighters, Pale Waves, and Arcade Fire's, new song "Creature Comfort" which is making some monster moves up the chart. A couple more songs that have suddenly got a second wind ar; "Sit Next To Me", "Mi Perdicion" and "Don't Let Up". "I'll highlight all these songs in blue. My 4 debuts are, "Be Careful What You Wish For" from the motion picture soundtrack of "Wish Upon", a hot new 80's ,fire, rocker from White Reaper and the big surprise of my 2018 new year from Band -Maid. Band- Maid are a J-Metal all female band, whose concept is dressing like the Akihabara maids of Japan and playing some great J-Rock Metal. These ladies play their own instruments ,and play them proper. They are about to release their 5th mini album, next month, but already have quite a few videos out. I'm simultaneously charting two of their songs. "Thrill" which is their first single from 3 years ago, but I'm charting anyway, because the guitar solo is incredible, and their new single "Daydreaming" , which has a bit of a Power ballad vibe to it. If you want to listen to some really great foreign Metal, give a listen to Band-Maid. I think they might possibly be my favorite new discovery of 2018. and finally, you'll notice I gave "One Foot" a  one week appearance. maybe I'll bring it back? Stay tuned.

HOT List: This week 's list only features two new songs. It's not too surprising ,either, ,since they are moving to some 80's vibes. they are J-Metal. have you heard of Baby Metal? The difference is ,the members play their instruments in Band-Maid. They still are very melodic.

As we get into the second week of the new year, we see Wayfarers hanging on to #1 with their NRGetic "KINGS".  Echosmith break into the top 5 with "Future Me", and we see a new first time, synthpop band, NEON LIGHTS score their first top 10 song on my chart with "1000". Last week we say the J-Rock band ; BAND-MAID get the first high debut of 2018, this year we see another band debut in the same exact slot. It's the second single from Newcomers; Greta Van Fleet. If you are wondering why I waited so long to start charting this song? It's simply because I wanted to save it for 2018. With a brand new sleeve art, I just made ;Greta Van Fleet have this week's highest debut with "Safari Song". Now all we need is the Music Video. My second debut already has a great music video ,starring a  very lucky Johnny Depp. "Kill 4Me" has already been #1 on my Metal chart, so it's only natural ,that it make its way onto the top 50 songs of the week.  This week I also added my top 10 LPs of 2017. Its a nice mix of Metal and Indiepop, but all in the spirit of 80's vibed, Party Rock, music. A few more new Sleeves and music videos will round out this week's chart highlights. You know the drill? HOT List: The question is? Did Weezer rip off Fitz and The Tanrums' ;Neo-Soul, style of "3AM", with "Happy Hour"? Either way it sounds great so I'm adding it in the list. My next add is a song that is currently #1 on weekly Metal Chart. It's the latest single from Avatar called "The King Wants You" . Avatar usually find their way onto my top 50 and judging by the catchiness of this new song, it shouldn't be too long before this one does too. My last add is a new K-Pop song from SONAMOO. BLACKPINK did their damage. besides I've been picking up on a lot of new uptempo melodic K-Pop on the K-Ville Entertainment top 60. 2018 might be an even bigger year for K-POp on my charts.?

I heard "Safari Song" for Wintertime Madness and liking it a decent bit. I'll give it more listens and maybe it might make it on my chart as well? I'm weird because I think I like "Safari Song" better than "Highway Tune"...

[Doc Indie Party Rock]

This week starts off with a brand new #1 song from a band that are no strangers to the top spot on my chart. It's the "can't sit still when this song plays" hit; "Waking Target". The biggest move within the top 10 , goes to "One Night Only", jumping from #6 to #3. Could this be the first #1 song for the Struts? No new songs enter the top 10, but we do have 3 debuts. Starting them off, is the Synthpop band; Ice Choir, with the title track off their "Designs In Rhythm" album. Debut #2 is a return song from Walk The Moon. Yup. I started getting into "One Foot" again. Let's see for how long this time? The highest debut this week goes to Nickelback for the song "The Betrayal (Act III)". This one is sort of a slow burner on me, but ti's fierce enough and I had it on my Metal chart for a few weeks too. There is no BIG debut this week, but there are a few big movers from Skillet, Kobra and The Lotus, and the big jump into the top 20 ,from Foster The People for their 80's vibes chillout,song "Sit Next To Me".

HOT List: Starting off this week is a band that has had major success on my charts. How do you come up with a vocally powerful song with minimal guitar? You get Bastille to perform it. "World Gone Mad" is a song that is having a big impact on the Alternative charts in just a few weeks. It could possibly have the same effect on my chart once it debuts? next is La Oreja De Van Gogh. I have been charting this Spanish Pop Rock band since they first hit the rock scene with "Pesadilla". 20 odd years later, and with a different lead singer, they still have that perfect Pop Rock sound. This new track I'm charting called "Palida Luna" is from their 2016 album," El Planeta Imaginario ". I just learned of this album, so it's getting some late chart action. My third add is from Josh Todd and his new music project called Josh Todd and The Conflict. You all know him batter from the "Sleaze Rock" band Buckcherry. This song is pure guitar rock 
, it's fierce and has great vocals. A perfect combination to put "Story Of My Life" on my HOT LIST.  My last add is from an 80's icon's band, Simple Minds.  It's their new single "The Signal and The Noise" ,and its from their new album ;"Walk Between Worlds". This is surely the best song I've heard from them in years.

Actually it peaked at #7 late 2017. Now it's time for other songs to move up.

The Struts take over the #1 slot from Fitz and The Tantrums, as they score their very first number one single on my personal chart, with the very Queen inspired "One Night Only". Two new song break into the top 10. First is Royal Blood with the massive hit; "I Only Lie When I love You". This is my favorite song from the band, and it has a strong chance to go all the way to the top. The other new Top 10 entry is from the Horrors and there 80's perfection on "Something To Remember Me By'. Another big move within the Top 10, is German act; Alice Merton, with her first top 5 hit "No Roots". This week also marks the first time one of my biggest rock songs of 2017 from DIAMANTE falls out of the top 10. After a chart life of 19 weeks in the top 10, "Coming In Hot" slides to #13.  We also have, quite a few big movers on this week chart, but the biggest move goes to a song that, I suddenly started getting into big time, from Walk The Moon. This week's chart is a bit crowded, so we only have two debuts, but they are two of the biggest songs on the actual chart right now. One is Beck with "Up All Night" coming in at #50, and the other is "Run For Cover" from The Killers. Both of these songs should have an exciting chart run in the weeks ahead. there is also plenty of action on this week's HOT LIST, as I debut not one, not two, but three new songs from big 80's icons. A few vids and only one new sleeve art, but I'll make up for that when I post this week's Metal Chart later in the week. Debuts in green, Hot moves in Blue and peaks in ().

HOT List:  let's start off with another track off The new; Simple Minds album out next month. It's called "A Sense Of Discovery". This one pays a little ode to "Alive and Kicking" in the chorus, and I love it. My next add comes from ex Ratt lead singer; Steven Pearcy and it's off his 2017 album ;"Smash". "Jamie" was already a big hit on my Metal Chart, but it sounds like a song that would have been a big hit in 1989, so I'm bringing it on to 2018. A very special add this week, as Frontiers Music is releasing a brand new; Rick Springfield, album called "The Snake King". The first single is called "In The Land Of The Blind", and If there is one chart where Rick has a R.S.V.P. spot, is on my chart. My  last add was kind of a surprise to me, as I haven't charted anything from this band, since they teamed up with Demi Lovato a few years back on "Irresistible". This week I caughta new single from Fall Out Boy, called  "Church" and thought it sounded more like the Fall Out Boy I can get behind on. Patrick Stump sounds very powerful on this vocal delivery and it's the number one reason,I'll probably give this song a charting chance.

This week, I'm the latest in a string of Pulse members to take "No Roots" to number one. I actually dug this as soon as I previewed it on the weekly adds section. This week it makes an impressive leap from #5 to #1, and should stay up there for a few weeks.  The only question left to ask is? What is taking the Alt charts so to make this the #1 song? We also have one new entry into the top 10 from Mexican Pop band Playa Limbo. "Mi Perdicion" is the only straight out Pop song in my top 10. The difference is, that, they are a real band , playing real instrumants, so It could stay for a while? We also got 3 big debuts this week. Starting off the excitement, is Bastille ,with their Alt ballad, "Wold Gone Mad". next up is the 80's Synthpop band; OMD with another track off the "Fly" soundtrack. The other track, I'm charting off that album, is "Determination" from Go West; which in fact makes a nice jump into the top 30 this week. The highest debut is from another 80's iconic band. This one comes from Simple Minds, and it's off their new album; "Walk Between Worlds", which is also my favorite album of the week. Coming way up at #40 is "The Signal and The Noise". It has an unmistakenable ;Simple Minds sound, and it sounds like it could cause a lot of noise in the weeks to come?. I also made three new cover sleeves for each single. That, and the song's music videos make the package complete. Green means debuts, Blue means impressive move, and () is song's peak.

HOT List: Lets get the list started with one of the quickest rising songs on the Alt chart.  It's the song; "broken" from lovelytheband. Right off the start I thought MGMT - "Kids". Not bad. Then it was brought to my attention that it has a bit of Katy Perry in there too. Cool. Add to that a sprinkle of Wolf Gang, "Lions In Cages" and you got a song I can get 100% behind on. Also there are two videos for the song. I obviously, like the one with just the babes.  Up next comes, Rise Against - "House Of Fire". This is my favorite track off their latest album, and it's also getting some great attention on Alt and Rock formats.  Up next we got my indie metal track of the week. It's new Sleeze Metal from the band; SISTER. "Carved In Stone' is a great Metal track with melodies reminding me of Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses. Next on this roller coaster of music ; we go from Sleeze Metal to Synthpop. Something that usually only happends on my charts. You guessed it? I'm giving a early push to the new CHVRCHES song, called "Get Out".  I was a bit worried they might change their sound, but I'm happy to report, that this is 100% synth pop CHVRCHES.

*New Metal music Chart is back.


This week's Metal Chart crowns ,The Burning Witches for a second week at the top. This song is way too fierce to step down yet. We also have two debuts. At #10 we see ;Breaking Benjamin coming in with their new single; " Red Cold River". I really like the music in the verses. The "Red Red Red" feels a bit forced just to give it a "sxreamo" vibe, but it's still a solid song. My second debut, and right in time for the song's Music video, is the second single off Fozzy's , "Judas" album. This is a "smoking" rocker, that will surely cross into my top 50 in the weeks to come.

A lot of action in this week's chart. The top 4 songs all hold their positions; which means we could have big changes in next week's top 5. Including big hits from Royal Blood and The Horrors moving up even closer to the top spot.  We have two new songs cracking the top 10. "Sit Next To Me" and "Light Me Up" , which basically takes the spot from "At War" as our Symphonic Metal , favorite of the week. We also have 3 debuts. One; is the new song from Weezer that I currently got on repeat. How about a music video, before the song starts to drop? Another; is from, Italian Hair Metal band; Hell In The Club. "We Are On Fire" has been slowing inching up the bottom 50 until now. This means it could either fade out in a few or continue to grow on me and and keep climbing? The best way to describe the song? A quick, hard rock ,adrenaline shot, perfect for a work out playlist. My last and highest debut goes to Carly Rae Jepsen. This one has also been on my HOT LIST since last year, but I recently started spinning it again, and man, does it sound great.  This one will surely keep a steady climb upward in the weeks to come. One final song to keep your eyes on , is "The Signal and The Noise" from Simple Minds, which jumps up 11 slots into the top 30. A future #1? All signs point to, "yes", but there are a lot of great song on the chart, so only time will tell? A few Music Video spotlights and cover art will round out this week's highlight. HOT List: Let's start off with, 80's icon; Kim Wilde. This is the first single off her upcoming album; "Here Come The Aliens". "Pop Don't Stop" ; with its perfect Pop Rock; vibe ,should go have no trouble going top 10 on my chart.  My next song is one of my own entries in that Indie tournament that has been put on hiatus. "Love Is Tears" from GENTS is another indie synthpop song with that 1985 vibe. Vocals as well , as music.  Next comes, Bryan Adams - "Ultimate Love" from his "Ultimate" hits compilation. This is one of the three new tracks on the album. This is a great song with a sound reminding me of E.L.O.. In fact I thought it was written by Jeff Lynn. It also reminds me of Dave Edmunds "Slipping Away". My last add is gonna get double chart action. It is the new #1 song on my weekly Metal charts, but is also melodic and powerful enough to cross into Top 50 territory. It's new symphonic Metal from the band; FOLLOW THE CIPHER. I'll find out more about the band in the coming weeks, but its definitely the type of Metal I enjoy. The music of "The Rising",itself is great. Like September Mourning or Stitched Up Heart with Disturbed like drums, but this lead singers really takes it to a new level during the chorus. Her super high screaming vocals are gorgeous and fit the song's style perfectly.

*This week's Metal Chart has three new debuts. Including a brand new #1 song from FOLLOW THE CIPHER called "The Rising".  A gorgeous symphonic Metal song. You can taste the power when she sings " The sky is falling". This one should stick around for a while. At number 10 we have another debut. This time from Monster Magnet. I'm sure everyone remembers "Space Lord" and "Negasonic Teenage Warhead"? They are now on Nuclear Blast records and thier new single "Mindfucker" makes its top 10 debut on my Metal chart. Finally we have the actual new release from Band -Maid's upcoming new album, "World Domination". I now have 3 Band-Maid songs in my charts.

Looks like Alice Merton might shut out Many Lee from reaching the #1 slot. we also have a few strong climbers from Kobra and The Lotus, Royal Blood and The Horrors, who jump into the top 3 in just one month in the top 10. No new songs enter the top 10, but there is some nice movement in the 10-20 slots; where we have Cut Copy scoring their first big hit on my charts, DREAMCAR, with not one, but two, songs ,making waves , and the first ;top 20, Hinder song, that actually sounds like proper Hinder, since Austin left the band. This week's debuts are from Two Alternative charting acts. At #50 are ,The Wombats with "Lemon To Knife Fight" I decided to give this one a push, because I really enjoyed their new album. Songs like "Black Flamingo", "Cheetah Tongue" have that guitar vibe I enjoy in Indie Pop. My highest debut this week is from an artist,I'm charting for the first time. Sadly Bishop Briggs' "Dream" already fell out of the actual Alternative chart, but here it's just getting started. The music video is what really got me more into the song. "Dream" is also a song, with a slightly different vibe , that the songs you would usually find hanging around my top 50, so it could be interesting to see how far it goes up the chart?  This week's highlghts conclude ,with This week's ,buzz track from the band' Blonder for top 10 seeking, "In and Out".I  Also got some hot new Spanish rock in The HOT LIST and showcasing my new sleeve art for a new Fitz and The Tantrums song. HOT List: let's start off the action with one of my top 3 favorite tracks off ;Fitz and The Tantrums latest album. This one has more of that Neo- Soul vibe. This one would make Daryl Hall proud. It's a bit more basic and simple in the sounds but it does have a killer organ solo.  They don't need too much extra crap to make their songs epic. I also made a completely original cover art for the song. The combination of colours came so naturally. This is probably my favorite one for their songs I've done so far.  This week I've also added a few Spanish Rock songs. I fell behind a bit, and want to catch up. This one is from 2016. It's called "Quiero conocer tu mundo" from the indie rock band ;Fármacos. The next band is also a Spanish Indie Rock band. "Mi Mejor Fracaso" is from Grises' new album  ”De peces y árboles”
. This song is a perfect example of our Indie rock style. Heavy on guitars, extremely melodic and with a catchy chorus. My last add is from my new favorite album from MGMT. "Little Dark Age" is going on it's 5th week at #11 and still needs to go top 10, but I'm already getting into the new "buzzing" single called "Me And Michael". A bit smoother in melody, but still heavy on the 80's vibe. Just wait till I start charting "She Works Out Too Much", but I wanna save that one for the summer.

So happy to see "Dreams" finally charted!

Alice Merton holds down the #1 position for a whole month, but with The Horrors and Kobra and The Lotus riding her coat tails, will she be able to get to week #5? There are also two DREAMCAR songs that got major upgrade action this week. "Slip On The Moon" breaks the top 10, giving the band their 3rd hit single in a row. "All The Dead Girls" makes the biggest jump within the top 20; leaping from #18 to #13 and holding a sure ticket to next week's top 10. Only one song; from the band, Through Fire, could block it,and that one could also be the first top 10 for the band? This week we have three debuts. All 3 are from the Rock world, but with different vibes. Josh Todd and The Conflict brings the Fierce Rock fire, White Widdow; the Power Ballad epicness, and Pretty Boy Floyd; who return to my top 50 after a 14 year hiatus with the Glam rocking "We Got The Power". HOT List: Let's get right into the action with DIAMANTE's brand new single. It's a cover for Lower Than Atlantis's song; "Had Enough". Few covers get me this excited, and when you got the poweful, pure, rock attitude ,vocals of Diamante ,and those fierce guitar strums that give Hard Rock it's name; then you know your cover has won me over. The music video is just a bonus for the fans, but for me it completes the song's total package.  The next song comes from Indie Rock band; KITTEN. They tried the Indiepop groove on their E.P.; Like a Stranger, but I'm glad they went back to the 80's New Wave vibe. This is my favorite Alternative style, as you can tell with songs I'm charting from Little India, DWN TWN, Blonder, Dear Rogue and DREAMCAR. My last song is actually a remix of the new Muse single. It's from Symon Iero. He uses the actual song but layers in the guitars that make a Muse song sound like a Muse song. I think he does a really crafty job here, drowning out the sounds I really didn't care for, but keeping the vocals and melody intact. I call this Muse "Thought Contagion (Rock Cover)". I think this version will do great on my chart. I also did a new sleeve art for the song. Keeping the emphasis on the guitar.

*Weekly Metal Chart. There is so much great Metal rock coming out; I'm almost tempted to extended the chart to a top 20? This week; DIAMANTE rockets to the #1 position with her cover of "Had Enough". I now have two DIAMANTE songs in my Top 50 too. Debut #2 is some cool Blues Metal from Voodoo Circle and their new single "Higher Love" . My third debut should not surprise you if you follow old school metal? It's the title track from Saxon's new album and it is scorching.

[Doc Indie Party Rock]

We have a brand new #1 song this as the ;English Rock band, The Horrors dethrone ;newcomer, Alice Merton, with their Indiepop hit; "Something To Remember Me By". We also have one new entry to the top 10, from New wave sensations, DREAMCAR. Their fourth song to go top 10 on my chart is "All The Dead Girls". I'm also posting a cool live version of the song. This week's chart features a lot of movement from a few songs that have been hanging around for 15+ weeks in the chart.  All these songs crossing over from 2017; will most likely  go a full 25 weeks on the chart before they are done. That also means racking up some major points for the 2018 year end chart. Only two debuts this week, but take notice to Blue October's "outta the blue" debut for their new, very 80's sounding,  single "I Hope You're Happy". I for one; certainly am, because this song, is already out peaking ,their highest performance on my charts. That song being, "Say It"; which stalled at #37, back in 2009. The other debut is ,single number two from Rise Against's "Wolves".  Coming in at #50 is "House Of Fire". Rounding off the chart highlights with a fanmade cover usuing the promo shot for "I Hope You're Happy", and turning it into a 45' single. Just like in the 80's. Green means debts. [Doc Indie Party Rock]

The Horrors hold on to #1 for a second week ,but  both Kobra and The Lotus and Playa Limbo, have their hights on that top spot as well. This week , Franz Ferdinand crack the Top 10 with the first single off their latest album, and we have four big debuts. First comes The Neighborhood with "Scary Love". I'm also Pulse premiering the Color music video right here on my chart. Debut #2 comes from ex Ratt vocalist; Stephen Pearcy, and the first track I'm charting off "Smash" called "Jamie". After listening to this song; its evident that Stephen was Ratt. Kim Wilde also makes a strong debut with her new single "Pop Don't Stop". This one she shared vocals with her brother Danny. The song is a mix of songs like 'You Came" and "Perfect Girl". The last debut is from the artist; who after 32 weeks finally went recurrent with her #1 smash; "Coming In Hot". She crashes right back in with her cover of Lower Than Atlantis' "Had Enough". This time DIAMANTE, injects her own brand of 80's metal fierceness into the song, and I suspect another future #1 on my chart.  A few more vids should keep everyone happy til next week. We begin with a actual first single off Simple Mind's latest album called "Magic". Took me while to get into it, but seeing that; "The Signal and The Noise" is moving pretty quickly up the list. I might debut a second single soon enough. My next song comes from Echosmith for their single "Get Into My Car". "Future Me" stalled at #4, but I think this one might perform better. Song number 3 is one of my New Wave pick hits; which other members have started charting before me. *Weekly Metal Chart. DIAMANTE is enjoying double chart action here and as the Top 50's highest debut, with her cover of "Had Enough". "The Rising" form FOLLOW THE CIPHER hold down the #2 song. That one is also in my HOT LIST. One debut, but it's already one of my most played Metal songs this week. . It's from the Brazilian based, Metal band; Armored Saint. It's a gorgeous, powerful ballad, called "Sailed Away". This one sounds like the radio friendly Metal that could sail right into my top 50?
