First off my chart is getting harder to compile, because of the actual greatness of songs that are actually charting on both Alt and Active. I might hold back on some of my Indie stuff to chart the hot stuff first, but this chart won't lose it's Indie vibe just yet. It's not even summer and I already have songs slaughtering on the chart. This is partly due to albums from AFI, DREAMCAR and now Paramore; which could all have multiple chart action in the weeks to come. Anyway; this week's chart has some crazy movement so just try to deal with it and enjoy it. Once Again ;debuts in Green, Hot moves in Blue , and song's peak in ()

HOT List: The big news for me; is Paramore, dropping their entire album on my favorite download? check, site . A great album that needs to physically be in my CD collection as well. and I will be charting quite a few songs; from it, in the months to come. I'm already giving massive adds play to "Told You So" and I hope that becomes single #2? The Indie Pop ;Phoenix is back, and tho the MV might look they are in 1985; they are very physically here in 2017 with "J-Boy". Man this is a monster hit just waiting for a window to break onto my weekly chart. Another big band from the last year; charts, is back with a new single. It's Miss Caffeina with "Acido" This one has a bit of ;Azul Violeta vibe and has a cool guitar solo outro style. Very cool. My next song is a bit of Guitar oriented K-Pop. It's DREAMCATCHER with thier new single "Good Night" Nice to know that the K-pop charts are not scared of a little guitar. Finally ;comes the band who had my favorite song of 2016. It's the Freeweights with "Everybody Wants My Name" Another solid gold; 80's style,candy, with some great vocal works from lead singer; Toni.

DREAMCAR hold the number one position for a whole month and with another Davey Havok, song;"Snow Cats" ;blocking the competition; "Kill For Candy" could reign for a few weeks more? Two new entries in the top 10. First is Synthpop band; VOES with "Hold On" and Again I added the audiofile, since no Youtube vid is avaliable. The second Top 10 leap belongs to MisterWives as "Machine" gets ready to cause some havok within my top 10 songs. This week we got 3 debuts. Royal Black are back with the rocking; "Lights Out" at #50, Ric Ocasek; debuts with a song from 1995, that was originally written in 1984 ,and is now charting ,for the first time in 2017. and my third debut belongs to the band King-No-One. This is a song; I also entered in the Indie songs tournament a while back. Now "Alcatraz" finally breaks out of the HOT List and onto my top 50 songs of the week. The rest of this week's highlights include some MVs and a nice top 10 remembering another one of our fallen music icons; Chris Cornell. HOT List: First off on the list; we got the brand new single and Title Track from Green Day's; "Revolution Radio". It's great to see it debut on Active, but how about Alt? Next I got a hot new release from Phoenix's "Ti Amo" album. It's also the title track. This one is getting some bad publicity for the lyrics. yeah, whatever. Me; All I get is an awesome 80's new wave vibe; reminding me much of Duran Duran and Spandau Ballett's ; early New Romantic sound. Both this song and "J-Boy" are exactly the music I wanna hear on the radio. COIN is back on the rise on my HOT List. It had fizzled a bit in the 60's for a few weeks, but jumps up to #57 this week and should enter my top 50 soon? The next song is a hard rock song that already was in my top Metal songs a few weeks back. It's the secong single from TREAT called "I Don't Miss The Misery". And last but not least;&nbsp;Blink 182 seem to have released a deluxe version of "California" with 12 new songs and after previewing a few of these; I've decided to maybe pass on "Home Is Such A Lonely Place" and choose;instead, between "Last Train Home",  "Hey I'm Sorry and "Don't Mean Anything". I'll showcase the "Last Train Home" this week and another next week.

The big news on this week's countdown is Phoenix. Not only do they have two debuts on this week's chart, but also hold the title for highest debuting song, on my chart for, 2017. and just to keep with my Indie vibe; I'm giving the higher debut to "Ti Amo". I find this to be a perfect song. The vocals, The bassline and even those synths; that wouldn't sound out of place in a Argento/Bava or Fulci; Gallio or Zombie flick of the 80's. It also sounds like a song you would here in one of Andy Worhol's, chic ,get togethers, or at any memeber; of Duran Duran's ,wedding. So yes; all signs point to a future #1 song on my charts. They will; however have to topple DREAMCAR; who hold the #1 position for a 5th week, and probably come up against stiff competition with MisterWives and Paramore, but it will happen. The other ;Phoenix, debut, is the one currently charting on the Alt chart,called "J-Boy" . This one is so 80's; even the MV reminds me of England's, "Top Of The Pops" lip synch performance show. Great stuff. The third debut; comes from 70's icons; Blondie with their new single "Fun". The rest of the chart is full of great upward movement; including songs from Nickleback, Paramore, Incubus and AOR chart favorites; White Widdow. Once Again ;debuts in Green, Hot moves in Blue , and song's peak in ()

HOT List: There are so many great songs on both my music charts; that I only have space for one entry onto this week's HOT LIST. It's the first collaboration from Italo Disco producer;Mirko Hirsch and 80's Hi- Energy sensations, Trans-X. The song is called "Video Night" and I'm spinning the ( I Love 1983 Extended Mix); which sounds like "Living On Video" part two. A song that spent 16 non consecutive, weeks on my #1 poistion way back in the day. This version will most likely go top 10 just like they did; last year with the remix of "How Long Lasts Love". Also here is another song from Blink 182 extended special deluxe "California" album.

Metallica are still the champions, but soon could crossover to the top 50? Two new songs. First is Stone Sour with a new Rocker called simply; "Song #3". Very melodic hard rock; which to me is a perfect rock n roll baptism, and Debut number 2 is from ORDAN OGAN. Another sort of Nordic, but also with Metallica vibes; song called "Gunman". This could turn out to be one of my favorite Metal songs of the year.

In that sense; my chart sort of resembles Billboard's; Alt and Active. Top 10 songs have a tendency to disappear from that chart ; once they drop below 10.  It opens up new and exciting movement within the top 20.

DREAMCAR hold on to the number one postion for a 6th week, but are now facing strong competition from "Machine" and "13th Floor" which keeps taking stepping up the chart one slot at a time. No new songs enter the top 10, but that could all change by next week as a few of the top 10 ,occupants are now running out of steam. The big movers this week, are both Phoenix songs, Stitched Up Heart and Blondie with her new song "Fun". We also have three debuts this week. Two Indie Pop songs from Lovespeake's "DNA" ; which performed pretty decently in last year's music tournaments. and Saint Motel's new single "Destroyer" ,and New hard rock band; Tokyo Motor Fist. This band ; like Grand Design and Loud Lion are relying on heavy inspiration from Def Leppard's trademark style and instrument sounds for thier breakthrough hit; "Pickin' Up The Pieces". This was already a former #1 song on my weekly, Metal chart; so it should do just fine on Top 50, chart as well. HOT List: The big news is the Music Brokers release called; "80's Re:Covered - Your Songs With The 80's Sound". It's basically 80's pop icons covering songs from the 70's-90's and adding their own trademark sound to each song. First up on my Hot List is Go West covering the Killers' hit; "Human". Not only is Peter Cox one of my favorite 80's pop vocalists; Go West also adds that trademark, Sophist-pop, style;they had in songs like, "Faithful", "King Of Wishfull Thinking" and my personal favorite; "We Close Our Eyes". Next week I'll continue more on this compilation with covers from Kim Wilde, Samantha (British Pin Up Girl)Fox, and ABC. Next on the list is the brand spanking, new, Nickelback, song called "Must Be Nice". I'm already liking this one even more than "Feed The Machine" . It's had killer Guitar grooves, classic Chad lyrical play and very strong vocals works. Should easily find its way to the top of my charts this summer. Still more hard rock vibes on my list. This time from the band Greta Van Fleet. This band has a classic Led Zeppelin, vocal vibe and thier new hit; "Highway Tune" ,should easily coast onto my weekly top 50. Last, but not least and going for her second time around; is Lorde with "Green Light". Only this time it gets a proper Chromeo remix. It basically gets rid of the acapella intro; which I never liked ,and those little piano beats right before the chorus. Next week will be mega, and I could add new songs from Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire and MisterWives.

Another great week for music. DREAMCAR hold the #1 position for a 7th week; thus making it the song with most weeks at #1 so far. for 2017. "Machine" stalls at #2, and just a heads up, but I'm no where near done with "Kill For Candy" yet, so Mandy and Co. might have a hard time getting to that #1, slot. More news; as both, Cage The Elephant and Paramore break into the top 10, and we have three new debuts. I decided to debut the Chromeo remix of Lord's song, because I also like her new single and don't want the two to clash on the chart. COIN's second single off;"How Will You Know If You Never Try"., also joins the list of top songs. I added this song to my hot list months ago, then it dropped off. Now it's back. I gave this song quite a few spins this week, so I decided to give it Top 50 action. My final and highest debut is a new rocking jam that is right up my alley. Don't know much about the band, except that they have a flawless Led Zeppelin vibe on this and few other songs; I previewed. It was either this song or "Must Be Nice" from Nickelback. I have one Nickelback song still in my Top 20, so I decided on "Highway Tune". Plus; I think I'm going to be charting more Greta van Fleet this year too. HOT List: The hot list begins with a track off Fitz and The Tantrums latest albums. We were promised a new single a while back, but instead of waiting around; I decided to add one of my favorite song;s called "Walking Target" This one also has more Fitz vibe than "Hand Job" did. I also made a fan art sleeve I just had to make when I saw the photo of them walking. Foo Fighters are also back. "Run" is on fire on both Active and Alt charts, and has some incredible guitar works. I'm also getting the feel of the grunge guitars during the verses, so I'll eventually grow into those chaotic vocal works of Dave. Also; Dave Grohl ,directed the MV. Further showcasing his talent. My next add; is the second song off; "80's Re:Covered" I'm showcasing, is Kim Wilde's cover of Captain & Tenille's "Love Will Keep Us Together". The MV states "Alternative Mix" , but that just means Hi- Energy remix; which is the name I'm giving it , so as not to confuse anyone. My last add this week ,is another song off Bon Jovi's latest album. I not only love the song, but the video as well.

Metallica hold that #1 spot for over a month now. I think they might be crossing over to the top 50 soon enough. A couple of debuts. We got; Mr. Big ,on Frontiers Music label ,with a new song called "Everybody Needs a Little Trouble". I really dug this band in the early 90's and this song has real groove. My second debut is a new Royal Blood track called "I Only Lie When I Love You". "Lights Out" is barely getting started on my top 50, but I think I love this one even more. The cowbell effect blew me away. Maybe even #1 material?

Two HUGE months at #1, are what super group, DREAMCAR, can claim they have achieved on this week's Top 50. Again; MisterWives, is shut out from the #1 position and now, September Mourning also move up, another slot ,closer to #1. This week; 95% of the songs, make upward movement and we also have four big debuts. First; we have The 1975 with single #5 on my chart called "A Change Of Heart". It's a late debut, but also currently climbing the Alt top 40. The second debut goes to icons; ABC. Last year they hit big with "Viva Love" and now they return with "The Flames Of Desire". Debut #3 jumps in from my Metal Chart. It's the current #1 Active rock song from icons Stone Sour. Can "Song #3" repeat that #1 action, that "Absolute Zero" had on my charts in 2013? My sources say yes. Last , but not least are Green Day ,crashing in with the title track off their latest album. Another monster, Alternative, Rock song, that is sure to set my chart on fire in the weeks to come. that also means a hot new MV from the band as well. These are my favorite MVs. HOT List: This week I got 4 great songs. One for the Alt crowd, one for the Indiepop crowd, one for the Rockers ,and one for the popsters. I go in all directions, so let's get right into my favorite song of the week. It's the latest from the super group; The Killers, and their new single; "The Man". This band has had continuous #1 songs on my chart, and this one sounds like it could already have a reservation for that top spot in the months to come. It feels like the song I expected from Arcade Fire, but got it from the Killers instead, so complain. next; I have another track off MisterWives sophmore album. This one is called "Coloring Outside The Lines" and I dare say it's even more uptempo than "Machine". I also bring on a live performance showing that this band is a great live band. Not so cool on dresscode, but flawless performance of the song. Add #3 is for the Spanish Pop fans. It's the new song from Playa Limbo. This is the new song; since Maria Leon left the band and Jess Reyes took place of lead vocals. It's still the same uptempo Playa Limbo, but with some new sass. "Mi Perdición " is easily my favorite new Pop song of the week too. My last song is one that I; am so shamlessly borrowing off @quirkyfarang 's chart, because it's the type of Swedish, melodic hard rock that I go crazy for. The band is ART NATION and the song is "Ghost Town" .

Up to week #5 are Metallica with what will more than likely be my biggest Metal song for 2017. This week I got three awesome new metal songs setting my foobar on fire. I got a new track from September Mourning called "Superhuman". I would love if Sumerian Records release this as single #3. So catchy and full of Energy. Debut #2; is from Stone Sour,who replace themselves, with "Fabuless". If you like hard crunching guitars with head bopping action topped off with Corey Taylor vocals; This is your song. The highest debut is long overdue. It's the new single off Vobeat's latest album. Fans of "Lola Montez" and "Heaven Nor Hell" will love "Black Rose".

Nine weeks at #1 for new comers DREAMCAR. This song captures everything I crave in music so perfectly, that I can't end its reign, just yet. One more week and it crosses the 10 week pedestal, but we do have September Mourning with their slow but steady climbing "20 Below", and Paramore, who make a nice leap from #8 to #4 with "Hard Times". Elsewhere; we have 3 songs ,also breaking new ground. Two HOT rockers, into Top 10 territory from Seether and Incubus and "Chained To The Rhythm" from Katy Perry; who by breaking into the top 20, has now guaranteed her 20 week run on my chart. Three debuts. First, A late commer from Sir Sly called "High" . He had a nice top 30 hit on my chart a few years back, with "Haunt Me". "High" is a bit more uptempo, but still more or less around the same level musically. My second debut is the type of fast melodic rock music that is coming out of Frontiers music label by the boatload. Its by Swedish rockers Eclipse. "Never Look Back"; like "Picking Up The Pieces" will surely set my weekly chart on fire in the months to come. Debut number 3 is from the biggest band from my 2016 charts. It's the new single from Freeweights; whom, had my #1 song of last year called "Living In A Studio" . the band once again captures the perfect essence of that 1984-86 Synth Pop era with "Every Body wants My Name". Once Again ;debuts in Green, Hot moves in Blue , and song's peak in ()

HOT List: It's funny what sounds pleasant to one listener's ear after just a few plays . I'm taking about this new Nothing More album track, "Go To War". Up untill now, Nothing More have had a decent song on my chart with "Mr. MTV" , but this new one really sounded great. I made the joke about it sounding like an alternative metal version of an Imagine Dragons' song, but this time, Nothing More, has really surprised me. Maybe its a bit more tame for the avid fans of the band, but I love it. My next add, is also on Eleven Seven record label. It's the hot new rocking tune from DIAMANTE .With her DOROTHY/Joan Jett , like vocals, "Coming In Hot" Looks to easily land a slot on my top 50 very soon. I just hope she gets a good push onto Active chart too. My last add song this week, is the new single by Arcade Fire, called "Everything Now'. This one has a cool ABBA like vibe in the pianos. Not amazing, but melodic and pleasant enough to have a nice chart run on my weekly top 50.

Metallica keeps that #1 streak going strong. This week, the new September Mourning song leaps into my top 5 and we have two hot debuts. The Unity debuts at #8 with some seriously melodic hard rock called "No More Lies" The song sounds like a Neil Schon original. Not sure if the band hails from Germany, but they definitely European. The next debut, is the new single from In This Moment called "Oh Lord". This is one of those songs; that I like one week, than sorta burn out on the next. I'd say the percussion works keep me most interested for now. It's certainly a big step up from the bulls**t she released last year.

This week marks a milestone for the Dream band, DREAMCAR. Who ever thought the lead singer of AFI and members of No Doubt could produce such a perfect sounding 80's New Wave track, yet here it is, spending its tenth week at the top of my chart. Definitely a contender for top song of 2017. No new songs enter the top 10, but a lot of good moves all around. The three debuts are all Rock songs, but from very different musical paths. First is the German band, XANDRIA with thier Symphonic Metal hit, "Call Of Destiny". Next, we Have Rock icons; Nickelback with not one , but two debuts. Both "Must Be Nice" and the Powerballad; "Song On Fire" debut on a double A-sided 45. ;) . The highest debut, is from heavy Metal icons, Metallica. After spending 8 strong weeks at the top of my weekly Metal songs chart, they now "graduate" onto the top 50. This week, also marks the first week, of the yearly ,Summer Slaughter Songs. Which are basically; the songs that I think could cause havok on the chart, during the Summer period. Those will have (S.S) next to their peak number. Once Again ;debuts in Green, Hot moves in Blue , and song's peak in ()

HOT List: Starting off with one of my favorite Indie Pop bands from England called Fickle Friends. Beleive it, or not; they have released 10 singles. I've charted 4 of those. two became big top 10 hits and their latest; "Cry Baby" just went top 20 this week. Think of Paramore's current Indie Pop sound and you have an Idea of Fickle Friends. This week I'm adding another of their new singles called "Hello Hello". With most of the mainstream songs, that I like, either currently on my top 50 or Hot List ; I can showcase a few of my favorite Indie Pop songs out now. My next song; is from the band TEAMMATE. A very uptempo Indiepop song called "Into Motion". Carly Rae Jepsen is back with another fun track. This one really demonstrates how Carly is in her own Pop world. "Cut To The Feeling" &nbsp;is an catchy traditional pop song with all the right elements to become a big hit on my chart. My last track is a real throwback to those HI- NRG sounds of the late 80's that were huge on my side of the border. It's from the K-Pop band G-reyfish. The song "Johnny GoGo" has a very dance able rhythm and like always, these girls are in perfect, harmonious melody, in the vocal department.

The first thing you notice is a brand new #1, Metal song from Volbeat, but where is Metallica? They have gone recurrent on the Metal chart and are about to start causing havok on my top 50. In other words, they are now in the Big Leagues. My one debut this week is from the swedish melodic Metal band; Avatarium. They are on Nuclear Blast record label. I think their older material had a bit more punch, but this one is still melodic enough ,and Jennie-Ann Smith has great vocals.

#1 for Eleven weeks strong is "Kill For Candy". Both Paramore and MisterWives move up a notch closer to the top and we have one new entry into the top 10 by the band, Stitched Up Heart. The action is in the top 20 this week, as we have a lot of movement from Katy Perry, Phoenix, Fickel Friends, Lemon Demon and Bleachers; who after thirteen weeks in the chart, finally score their first Top 20 hit with "Don'tTtake The Money". The three debuts this week are all from different sides of the globe. At #49 we have The Spanish Rock band; Miss Caffeina with "Acido". HOT List: I got three songs this week that are getting some Foobar action. First I'm adding Mother Mother - "The Drugs". I'm so glad this one is finally getting some attention because, it has that 80's vibe I love.  I charted "Modern Love" a few years ago. That one also had an awesome 80's New wave sound. Next on the list is my favorite new Alternative Rock song from, Death From Above "Freeze Me' This one has one hell of a guitar hook that at times goes into perfect synchronization with a horns and Pianos as well. The screamy vocals make me love it even more. My next song blew away on first listen. It's my absolute favorite new Indie Rock song. This one has some heavy DREAMCAR vibes in the guitar works. The band is called Little India. They also hail from Britain and the their new single is called "Backseat". I can't express how much I love this song, but you will surely see it as it climbs to the top of my charts.

Just like Nothing More quickly debuted in the top 50, we also have the scorching new single by DIAMNATE taking over as the hottest new Metal song this week. I'll probably keep this one in here a few weeks, then shoot it into the top 50. There is a major clean up on this weeks chart as I debut 4 new songs. My next debut is yet another track off Stone Sour's new album. It's another melodic rock track called  "Thank God It's Over", and one of my favorites from them yet. maybe even more than "Song #3"? I hear a little of a Krokus vibe in the verses melody, from their classic "Our Love". My third debut are from Napalm records. It's The female fronted band; Kobra and The Lotus with their new song "You Don't Know", and last but not least, a band who needs no Introduction; STYX with their new single "Gone Gone Gone".

We finally have a brand new #1 song as Paramore dethrones DREAMCAR with their mega smash, "Hard Times". More than half of the top 10 songs hold their positions, but we do have two new entries in the top 10. First we have one of my indie Pop discoveries; which is also doing well in the "Summertime Madness" tournaments. It's Ice Choir with their underground Synthpop hit, "Windsurf", and Phoenix crack the top 10 with the title track off their new album. I actually like this one more than "J-Boy"; which will also likely go top 10 in the coming weeks? Quite a few songs gets nice upward movement, including the Spanish Pop Rock band; El Ultimo Vecino, with their hit "Mi Amiga Salvage". This week we also got three new debut songs. At #50 is AFI, replacing thier former top 20 hit; "Hidden Knives", with a new track called "Aurelia". 80's Pop icons; Go West debut with their cover of "Human", and right above them are the actual Killers, making a nice early debut with "The Man". This one has all the right vibes to go straight to #1 on my chart, so keep your eye on it. Finally; I made a few fan made sleeves to round out this week's chart highlights. Once Again ;debuts in Green, Hot moves in Blue , and song's peak in ()

HOT List: To Start off; I have 2 songs from Letters From The Fire that I have my ear on. One is "Bruised" ;which has a nice Avril Lavigne, Powerpop Sound to it ,and the other is "At War". A beautiful Powerballad; with a positive message, that really shows how talented these musicians are. I might use one for the Metal Chart and one for the Actual Top 50, but I do need more Letters From The Fire, in my top 50 soon. My next add, is a band called Blonder with a very 80's Pop rock song, called "In and Out". If you liked CRX's "Ways To Fake It", then this is your song. Finally we got Icons; Cheap Trick, with the first cut off "We're All Alright!"&nbsp;, called "Long Time Coming"This one has a very 70's ,aggressive vibe, with a bit of The Kinks "You Really Got Me" in the guitar works.
