Love seeing Franz Ferdinand in the top 10!!!

We have a great list with a lot of exciting movement. But first; The Horrors give us something more to remember them by, as they hang on to the #1 position for a 3rd consecutive week, further dimming the chances for ,"Light Me Up" to move up that one slot , and take their reign away.  We also have newcomers; Little India, cruising their way up to #8 with the ;immensely catchy; "Backseat".  This week we also have, three big debuts  First is Avatar with "The King Wants You". This Prog Metal band usually finds its way onto my top 50 with little effort, but they have only gone Top 10 once with "Smells Like a Freakshow". Let's see how far they can go with the first single off their latest album? The next band debuting is a new comer to the chart. It's Midnite City with their first single ever "Summer Of Our Lives". The band has a flawless AOR poprock style. Very melodic with a perfect late 80's rock sound reminding me a lot of bands like Firehouse and Nelson. The week's highest debut, goes to "Me and Michael". The second single off MGMT's latest album. This gives MGMT; not one, but two songs charting on my top 50. The second one ;"Little Dark Age",is our Video spotlight of the week ,and is up to #7 in this week's Top 10. A few vids and sleeve art puts the icing on this week's chart. Blue means "your favorite song is hot". Green means "Your favorite song is new". This:() is what your favorite song wants to surpass every week.

HOT List: let's start off this week's list with a band; I've seen on a few of our own personal lists. This would be the fourth song from WHITE that I add to the list. The song is called "Blush" and it does have a strong resemblance to another band we are all charting now. Franz Ferdinand. Next I'm adding some new Indierock from the San Diego based; Twin Ritual. Their new single; "Angry" is Indie Alternative with synths; which sounds a lot like Spanish Rock...and yes they have played in Mexicali. My last add comes the synthpop band LGHTNNG. You may remember the big hit on my chart last year called "Keep It Together"? They are back with that similar CHVRCHES sound. Let's see which of the two actually cracks the top 50 first. "Hold On To Let Go" or "Get Out".

*Weekly Metal Chart. This week; FOLLOW THE CIPHER, reclaim their #1 position from DIAMANTE, but DIAMANTE is already in the Top 50, so in all fairness, I should have kicked it out, but I love it so much, it's double charting. Three debuts, this week. First; on Metal Blade Records, is Visigoth with some 80's Heavy Metal sound on "Warrior Queen". next we have one of the most promoted new bands on Frontiers Music records. Ammunition with "Freedom Finder" . Bitchin' song. Very Def Leppard,80's hard rock....and finally,   what would a metal chart of mine be like without some new Female Metal. Coming in at #4 is Thundermother with "Whatever". This is the type of rock I wanna see on Active chart.

Great to see two songs by MGMT on your chart! They are super underrated.

This week ;The Horrors hold the #1 position for a whole month, but is none other, than DREAMCAR; who by moving up two slots to #2 , that are finally looking to put an end to their 4 week reign. The only entry in this week's top 10 belongs to the indiepop band; Blonder; who after stepping "in and Out" of the top 20 for a few weeks, have started a steady climb up the chart, and have finally scored their first Top 10 song on my chart. This week also brings us three new debuts. This week they are all from the world of Synthpop. At #40 is newcomer; Anna of The North with "Someone". Synthpop debut #2 comes from Echosmith with the second single "Get Into My Car", and scoring the highest debut; we welcome back CHVRCHES with "Get Out". The last time CHVRCHES graced my chart was with Hayley Williams, with their top 10 hit; "Bury It". These three new debuts all  have traditional synthpop sounds that immediately get my attention. Nothing too modern or "elektronik"; which means all three  should perform well on the chart. Other than that; it's a pretty slow chart with most of the action in the bottom half, but there is always new sleeve art and music videos galore. Plus smokin' new music in the HOT LIST. Blue means you song is HOT.  Green means your song is new, and (#) is the number, your favorite song ,wants to surpass every week.

HOT List: Let's start off the action with the band who scored one of this week's biggest debuts in the top 50. Echosmith are back with another song. This is the first single from a new album. It's called "Over My Head". It has a simple but effective and catchy synthpop melody reminding me of "6am" from Fitz and The Tantrums or Weezer's latest hit; "Happy Hour". So far Echosmith has gone top 10 with all the singles that have charted on my top 50, and this one sounds like it will be headed in that same direction? My next add; is Leon Else - What I Won't Do". It's a song, I discovered on soundcloud. It was on a playlist called" Back to 80's", and this song certainly has that vibe. That, coupled with this young singers uptempo vocals, and catchy beat, should catapult this one straight up my charts?. I also want to add, that the lyrics really clicked with me as well. Not only for the catchiness, but for the theme as well. Let's change up the vibe a bit with the latest song from the rock band; Red Sun Rising. "Deathwish" is one of the big, current, Active chart songs, and is now striking up attention on my foobar as well.  This song is really cool. It hooks right from the start, but also keeps the interest at an all time high when you listen to all the different vibes going on. It doesn't follow a ;paint by numbers formula, and there is even a Spanish beat going on in the third verse. Very interesting. My last add is yet another track off  DREAMCAR's, amazing debut album. The fifth song on it's way to my top 50 ,is "On The Charts".  Its interesting to take note; that DREAMCAR have become a phenomenon  on my charts. Very much like Duran Duran or even The Cars, and there are still about 4-5 more singles; I could possibly chart in the very new future. Maybe even roll into 2019?

* The BIG news is, That Dokken is back!  with a brand new album on Frontiers Music, because where else is an 80's iconic Metal band going with now a days? . The album is called "Return to The East live (2016)" but it's gonna be released next month, complete with a brand new studio song;  "It's Another Day"
. Dokken are a glam Metal band from the 80's who hit the Hot 100 a few times with "Alone Again", In My Dreams' and my favorite from "Nightmare On Elm street Part 4", "The Dream Warriors". Don Dokken (this is probably were all of you got the idea for John Hinder) is still on Vocals and sounding stronger than ever. George Lynch is also back on lead guitars, so the song has that classic ;Dokken ,sound we all loved in the 80's.  The new song debuts way up at #3 and soon to be #1. This is my perfect vibe for Metal. The guitars in the solo are so fierce, they almost sound like they are coming alive. Debut #2 is from  Salems Lott. This is another Glam metal band with; not only the 80's Glam sound, but the look as well. Pretty Boy Floyd and Poison immediately came to mind, but they also sport the Visual Kei look of the J-Rock bands. The new single is called "Shattered To Pieces". It's starts off as a Glam Metal Power Ballad with a gorgeous piano melody, but then kicks it up a notch with a incredible and lengthy guitar solo. You have to remember the guitar solos were a huge part of the 80's Metal ballad making the whole song a rather epic experience. i'm also showcasing "Heaven Comes Down" also from "Mask Of Morality" Lp; which I plan to purchase very soon.

[Doc Indie Party Rock]

This week we have a brand new #1 song. Its the second track to go to the top from DREAMCAR's debut album. It still has that 80's New wave sound, but at the same time a sort of New Romantic vibe. Amazing song with very mystical lyrics that perfect for Davey's vocal style. Also this week in the top 10 is the first; post-Austin Winkler, song by Hinder, that has any effect on me since he last graced the band. It sounds like 2008 Hinder. Vibe, lyrics and all. Also in the top 10, but by no surprise is "Run For Cover". I would say this one is just getting started too. The three debuts this week; are three songs with very different vibes. We have Rick Springfield ;off his new ,Frontiers Music Label album; "The Snake King". This time ,he even adds, a bit of a blues vibe to his already flawless Poprock sound. Coming in at #49 is the New Wave band ;GENTS with "Love Is Tears". This one has Tears For Fears vibes and very strong in the synths. My last debut;'graduates from my Metal chart. It's a powerful Metal ballad from the new band;Follow The Cipher.  "The Rising" has those type of operatic female vocals that shatter glass. This could be one of my favorite Rock songs of the year? all right you all know the deal? Blue means "Hot Song". Green means "New song" and this () is how high your favorite song has climbed so far.

HOT List: Gonna start this week with Sumo Cyco's single; "Undefeated". How can I describe their music? Little hard rock, little punk, little pop, and very melodic. "Undefeated is the type of dance hall rock song where you put your fist in the air and claim victory. My next add is another track off Stitched Up Heart's album. "it's So Easy" would be the fourth song I chart from the band. It's the kind of Female Power song that fits my Top 50 like a glove. Think ,Letters From The Fire -"Worth The Pain". Demi Lovato going full Metal. Yes. It's that powerful in the vocal department. My last two songs are more from the New Wave world. My chart usually consists of two vibes. fast melodic or powerballad rock music or New wave, or an occasional pop mega hit here and there. Future Unlimited - In The City is a song much in the vein of DREAMCAR music style. It's actually from 2016, but who's counting? My last add is a delicious new song by Franz Ferdinand. "Feel The Love" has all the ingredients, that make a Franz Ferdinand song, stand out among the rest. The sax at the end of the song is the icing on the cake.

Metal Chart: A brand new #1 takes over as "The Rising"  jumps on into the top 50. It's Judas Priest with "Lightning Strike". Those who love metal. 80's, 90's any vibe; should check out 'Firepower'. It's really a great addition to their discography. 2018 continues to be a grand year for hard rock as Swedish Glam Rockers; Grand Design. Release the first single off "Viva La Paradise". This band gets their inspiration from the big arena Rock sound of Def Leppard, and "Face It" is that sort of "in your face" rock that they are known for.

My favorites are still rising this week, good! Great to see "Feel the Love Go" in your HOT list!!! I thought Franz Ferdinand's newest album was pretty solid, and "Feel the Love Go" was one of the tracks I really liked, so good to see it making inroads on your chart.

What goes up must come down.  "Love City" might be the next (K) Pop song that goes top ten. Also don't count out Demi and Carly just yet. ;)

An exciting week on this chart is putting it lightly for we have 6 BIG debuts. This is the first time this year; I make such a massive clean up, but it's all due to the new Grand Design album; "Viva La Paradise" Just who are Grand Design? One of the hottest Swedish Glam Metal revival bands out now. What makes them so special is that they design their Metal sound after the different styles of Def Leppard. I have charted them in the past, but this is no doubt their most refined album yet. Not only is the style perfected but it almost seems like they borrowed Def Leppard's instruments to record the album. No less then, 4 songs, storm into my Top 50 ,with the highest being the actual first single; "Face It". The other three are inspired by different Def Leppard albums. I have left a little hint, as to which ones. The other two debuts follow my same theme this week. At #50 are SISTER with a fierce Metal number called "Carved In Stone" and the second, highest debut, from the band ; who also hold the #1 song for a second week in a row. DREAMCAR ,roll in with  "On The Charts". and thanks to 6 songs falling off, the rest of the songs are getting some exciting pushes up the charts. All right you all know the deal? This week we have a great new #1 song. It's taken 22 weeks, but Little India has, finally hit the top spot ,with their first song ever, on my chart; "Backseat". With a fast melodic indiepop vibe, this one should hang on for a few weeks? I also decided to shelf three Grand Design, songs, in exchange for three new songs. I only kept the actual first single, for now. The three new debuts get underway with "Boys and Blondes"; the latest single from, Canadian, Indierock band; Dear Rouge. At #38 comes ,Kitten with the very NRGetic "I Did It", and the highest debut going to ,Shinedown for their best song since ,"Cut The Cord". It's been about three years since I last charted Shinedown, so "Devil" is way overdue.  A few vinyl sleeves and Music videos round out this week's chart highlights. All right you all know the deal? HOT List: let's get into the action , with what could be my favorite, Metal ,song of the year(that isn't sung by Diamante). This week ,Ghost is back with a powerful new rock song called "Rats". This one all the vibes I crave for in Rock music. Especially the fact that it inspire a great work out. The 80's Metal vibes run wild throughout the song from start to finish, and it might even dethrone "Square Hammer" as my favorite; Ghost, song to date?   Next on my list is Indierock act; Yungblud with their hot new song on Alt chart, called "I Love You, Will You Marry Me" With it's jumpy guitar works and great vocals, this one should have a fine chart run. My last two adds are from 80's icons. First we have the pop duo of;  Daryll Hall & John Oates teaming up with Train on 'Philly, Forget Me Not". Very catchy pop number that wouldn't sound out of place on a HOT AC chart and on my ;2018 top 50, too. I'm posting the official audio, but I actually the live version a lot more. You see there is less autotune on Daryl Hall, which he doesn't even need. My last add is from a band who has had major success on my charts. It's the one single off their new album that I didn't hear until now. It's also the best song ,I've heard from them in quite sometime. U2 - 'The Blackout".

[Doc Indie Party Rock]

The excitement begins this week, with new comers; Little India holding down the #1 position for a second week with "Backseat". Big action in the top 10 this week , as The Killers are racing up the charts. In four short weeks; "Run For Cover" is already in the top 3.  Go West and Greta Van Fleet are also on the move. Both are up one notch closer to the top and Pretty Boy Floyd crashes the top 10 with one of the hottest songs on the chart; "We Got The Power". This week we have four debuts in the top 50. Two of those way in the top 40. First up and returning to the chart, after a one week hiatus, is Rick Springfield with " In The Land Of The Blind". At #46 we have the second song that I'm charting from the band; Red Sun Rising. I liked "Death Wish" from the first time I heard it, and it will surely be their biggest charting song on my list. Now for the big debuts. First we have the return of Ghost. At first listen to "Rats" I ,immediately recalled those Guitar hooks of songs from Y&T, Dokken and well, Ratt. With that in my mind; you can just bet this song will race up to the top of my charts, as fast as rats can infest a domain. For the highest debut of the week, we go with Fozzy. The album's title track was the first big hit for the band, and now comes "Painless". "Painless" ,is also this year's highest debut on my charts so far, so this one will be huge. A couple of cover sleeves and HOT music videos will round out this week's chart. Also scroll down to the second part of this week's post, where my Metal Chart has now expanded to 20 songs. I could easily do a top 40 of just rock and that's just with untapped, uncharted Swedish Metal, but I'll keep it down to 20 to showcase the hottest in Metal right now. Blue means your song is new. HOT List: this week is all about the hard melodic rock style I crave, so let's start off with a hit new track off DIAMANTE's newly released "Volum I".  The track; "Fight Like A Girl (FLAG)" picks up where "Coming In Hot" left off . With all the right ;Joan Jett ,vibes; this new; Howard Benson production is exactly what the Dr. ordered.  Next up on the list is another act on Eleven Seven music label. Escape The Fate is just about ready to release " I Am Human". I've liked a few songs from the band, but never like this. The newest songs have a pop punk vibe to them. Especially this delicious; Simple Plan - like ,single "Broken Heart". Let's keep the melodic vibe going with a track off Young Guns'  "Echoes". I didn't even know they had released a new album, so this is a late entry. The track that sounds more like Doc Indie Party Rock style; would be "Careful What You Wish For". My last add is the third act from Eleven Seven label that I'm showcasing this week. It also features a band with the current hot cover of ;The Cranberries'  "Zombie".  Bad Wolves  have teamed up with ,DIAMANTE on the track "Hear Me Now".  This one you will find on Bad Wolves album.

This week's Metal Chart returns with ten more positions as I now expand it to a top 20. I don't usually treat this like a regular chart.  It's just a bunch of new ,2018, fierce rock I work out with. They can be here one week, and out the next. Some even jump into the top 50. Let's get started with the new Viking Powerballad from Brazilian based; Armored Dawn called "Sail Away". This song is a melodic wonder. with wonderful lyrics, and has all the ingreients to crossover into my top 50 realm.  They also burst onto the top 20 with another Viking Metal debut called "Bloodstone". The highest debut is Ghost -"Rats". This song is already in my top 50, but since it's the best Metal song of the year , it will more than likely reach #1 here as well. The song from Wraith is also new. "Dreamsteeler" was a big top 10 hit here, and now I'm unleasing another Ratt vibed song called "Invasion". I also debuted another single from FOLLOW THE CIPHER. This one is called "Carolus Rex" and it's a cover of one of Sabboton's songs. Her vocals are not as earth shattering as they were in "The Rising", but still a good song. There is some great Metal out there, so I'll cover the other songs in the weeks to come.

yes, that Dreamcar Lp is incredible. I think I can still squeeze out a few more singles from it.  "Run For Cover" will face off it's biggest nemesis next week.

Three weeks and counting for the Indierock band; Little India ,as they score agin with "Backseat". Man, I love the guitars in this song. The upper half of my chart features songs, with the kind of vibe that should be hitting the top of the Alternative chart. The bottom half of my top 10, features the type of vibe I would love on Active, and The K-pop song at #10, is the sound I think is perfect for Pop charts. More chart highlights, as both; "Painless" and "Rats" are this week's biggest movers, with leaps of 9 and 8 slots respectively and we have three debuts this week.  First up ,is the Alt act; YUNGBLUD with "I Love You, Will You Marry Me". I'm giving this one a quick debut in the top 50. I love the vocals. Is he British? Sounds like a great accent? Next at #49, is the second single off Franz Ferdinand's latest album, called "Feel The Love Go".   Another great song that somehow got the shaft on the actual Alt charts. I think it's time  Franz Ferdiand to forget the Alternative Pop chart and make their way onto Active territory.  My highest debut is a song that takes me back to the early 2000's pop punk era. It's Escape The Fate with the MEGA catchy "Broken Heart'. This one is for the sing a long freaks. I can't even recall ever charting this band, but this one caught my attention by the third time I listened to it. There is no Pop Punk vibe song on my chart, so being a one of a kind song, I expect this one to do very well. A couple of fan made sleeves and MV's put the finishing touches on this week's chart. HOT List: Alice Merton - Lash Out. Her second single  has the same killer bass hook style, as "No Roots". The song doesn't even have a lyric video and is already making waves on the Alt chart and on my foobar player.  In This Moment - Black Wedding feat. Rob Halford, is the third single off "Ritual", and I think it is destined to be thier biggest hit yet?. I'm also world premiering the official Music Video here on my weekly chart. I'm definitely doing one of my cover sleeves for this song.  My third add, is from the Brazillian band Armored Dawn. I'm crossing the power ballad "Sail Away" over to my top 50, because it's my #1 Viking, Metal song of the week, and it also has that vibe of a "Boost Grunge" Power ballad you might have heard from Nickelback or Hinder back in the day. My last add, is from 80's icons; Tears For Fears for their new single "I Love You, But I'm Lost". It has a bit of a modern Indiepop vibe and is sung by Curt instead of Roland. It even sounds like Curt got bit by the Autotune bug a bit, but its still a great song. Sounds like one of those songs, that is destined to have a long chart run climbing onto my top 10.

New Music Metal Chart. Now in it second week of 20 fierce Metal songs. If you take My top 50, these 20 positions and songs in my HOT List, you actually have the songs in my top 100 chart. My #1 song stays put, because it's massive, but we also have Stone Temple Pilots crashing into the top 10 with "Roll Me Under". This song is surely destined to cross into my top 50 in no time. Also as one Judas Priest song drops from the top 10, another one comes in and takes its place. The one debut this week comes from Kobra And The Lotus for the actual first single of "Prevail II" called  "Let Me Love You" , but as you can see there is a lot of movement in the top 20 too.

Got a great chart for you guys this week. First off; We got a brand new #1 song by The Killers. This week "Run For Cover", knocks Little India to the "backseat", but it could bounce back? The biggest move , in the top 10, is by Sleaze rockers Pretty Boy Floyd. They might not be so pretty anymore but their new song jumps up 3 slots into the top 4. The one new entry into the top 10, is from Simple Minds moving up one slot to #10 with "The Signal and The Noise" . My three debuts this week are Dr Indie ;only, charting songs.  At #50 ,is the second release; which is actually the first single off Pretty Boy Floyd's album. This week I jump "Feel The Heat" from my Metal Chart, into my top 50. The next two debuts are taking advantage of the Slow Metal,  week and are both from the Indiepop world. First is; the third track I'm charting off Phoenix's latest album. The one I chose is "Goodbye Soleil', for it's cool synthpop vibe. The highest debut ,is "Do What You Want". This is the 4rth track I like from the last Fitz and The Tantrums album.  Elsewhere in the chart we have  nice moves from Ghost, Franz Ferdinand,Pale Waves; who look like they could score their first top 10 song on my chart by next week, and the little Kpop song that could. After 27 weeks on the chart; "Love City" moves up to #8. last but not least; my chart is just about to go into clean up mode, so expect a few Hot List songs to get their Top 50 action in the weeks to come. HOT List:. Starting off with some new K-Pop this week. During the Winter season a lot of cutsie K-pop was released.  "Heartshaker." by the all girl band TWICE is the one that gets my preferred Pop vibe into gear the most. For the MV go to my weekly chart thread in the member charts section. ..and from Cute K-pop we dive into some fierce Metal from the band Wraith and their single "Dream Stealer". Wraith are a heavy metal band from the U.K. with a guitar sound that reminds me of early Ratt and that new song by Ghost called "Rats". It's from last year, but i think it will fit my top 50 vibe just right. The sleeve cover is an original that I made for the single. My next add is from Saint Motel's "Saintmotelivasion" LP. I 've been wanting to chart this one since late last year, but I kept putting it on hold. I gave it more than 5 spins this week, so here comes  a great song called "Sweet Talk".  The song "Bubble Gum" is my last add for the week. This is some seruous 80's sounding sunthpop with a nice modern groove. It has a bit of Fatboy Slim groove in the guitars, but the vocals are pure female pop.

New Music Metal Chart. For a third week in a row the #1 slot is held by  Armored Dawn. Their new song; "Bloodstone" also moves up to #10. This gives the Brazillan Metal band two songs in the top 10. "Roll Me Under" from Stone Temple Pilots, rises up to #2. This is a song that could also jump into the top 50? and we have three debuts. Of course; I'm debuting the new Guns N' Roses at #15. "Shadow Of Your Love'  This blows that "Chinese Democracy" bull out of the water. Metal is back guys and  here is another song to prove to it. Debut #2 is from Crazy Lixx. This band is another favorite on my Metal charts. With Metal's big return to the spotlight; I'm bringing back "Wild Child" for round two. The last debut is from everyone's favorite band (to hate on) FFDP and their new "good for a ride on your motorbike to the gym ' song, "Sham Pain". Seriously, this is what I use it for. To get the adrenaline rushing in my veins on my way to the gym.

Second week at #1 for "Run For Cover". The song actually only held on to the #1 slot by a few points. Next week ; Little India could easily rebound to #1 or maybe even Pretty Boy Floyd, who would score their first #1 song on my chart. Whichever way it goes, it might not last long, because "Rats" is getting ready for a major infestation inside the top 10. It fact ;Ghost ,only got shut out by "Television Romance" which I have been spinning like crazy this week. This week's chart is a little slow in movement. Not much movement, and only two debuts, but take note ,that one of those debuts, is my current #1 song on the Metal Chart. Coming in at #50, is Armored Dawn's "Sail Away".This song is amazing. I get lost in the melody and the story every time I listen to it. Then there is the vocal emotion, which really hits my heart. A perfect Nordic Metal ballad.  Which brings us to this week's highest debut at #49. It's from 80's icon Bryan Adams. It's from his greatest hits compilation album; "Ultimate", and it's entitled; "Ultimate Love" This song bops hard with a cool driving bassline you would hear in a Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' song, or even something written by Jeff Lynn from ELO. HOT List: I've trying hard to find new music that appeals to me , that isn't hard rock, and truthfully, it's been a task, but I actually found some of Alt's add this week, to be good, particularly "She's Kerosine" from The Interrrupters so I'm giving it early action on my HOT LIST.  Next comes ABC, with another song from the "Fly .Songs inspired by the film Eddie The Eagle" soundtrack. It's the same one "Determination" by Go West is on. What I loved about this album, is that it showed that the musicians can still make music, perfect 80's vibe music, with their signature sound. My last two songs are crossovers from my Metal Chart. Which got me thinking, that maybe I'll fuse my two charts and post a top 10 Indie one instead. For now the new Stone Temple Pilots - "Roll Me Under". is sounding right at home to my ears. The last add is ; of course the new (old) Hollywood Rose song, "Shadow Of Your Love" . I think it wise choice to release it under Guns N' Roses and this will surely be another huge song vying for that number one spot in the weeks to come.

*New Metal Music Chart
Armored Dawn holds down the number Metal Power ballad of the week for a month now, but it could also be its last ,since it has now crossed over to the top 50.  I'm also featuring one of their new single, called "Chance To Live Again". I'm a complete Viking movie goon, so I love the direction of this music video. Plus, this song is a fierce Nordic Metal jam. This week's Metal chart features two new songs that are doing quite well on the Active chart as well. First off, I've starting to warm up a bit to Bad Wolves , "Zombie" cover. I still think it's not nearly as powerful as the original- pianos cannot take the place of the original bassline, but it does have its perks. Mainly with the powerful vocals. Next comes Tremonti, who I have admired since his days with Creed and Alter Bridge, but really haven't been blown away with his own band. His new song; "Take Me With You", is pretty melodic, and I really feel the guitars in this one. I dare say it has a bit of Poppunk in the melody too.

This week's chart commences with Little India reclaiming the #1 spot with their debut, breakout hit, "Backseat". "We Got The Power" from Pretty Boy Floyd also steps up two slots closer to the top spot. That song might be able to squeeze in a couple of weeks at #1, before "Rats" takes the crown. We got two debuts this week. Both very synthpop oriented. First is ;Artificial Pleasure with "Wound Up Tight" a great song with a strong New Wave vibe. This would be my first time charting this band. My highest debut, is the song "Hold On To Let Go" from a band that I have already charted called LGHTNNG. They have a sound very much like CHVRCHES, and Echosmith . Two bands that have had big success on my charts.  A couple of new fan made sleeve covers and vids will round out the chart highlights for this week.  Green = New song. HOT List: Starting the new adds this week with "Rose Colored Boy". The fourth track off Paramore's . "After Laughter". Like "Hard Times" ; it's one of my favorite tracks off the album and should, and should go top 10 on my chart.   My last add ,is from ,British Diva ;Samantha Fox, with her new single  "Hot Boy". This song is a perfect 80's synthpop, H-Energy ,tune that reminds me of 1987. I'll probably chart the 6:00 extended version, because it has even more of a Hi-energy tone. Samantha Fox, spent 14 weeks on top of my chart with "Touch Me( I Want Your Body)", so this new single should race up my chart pretty quick.

*This week I present a very special edition top 10.  This week alone I have ,seven, 80's acts in my top 50, and soon I'll be charting new music from ,Hall & Oates, Tears For Fears and Samantha Fox. This got me thinking , that the 80's icons, are still having the biggest success on my top 50. since 2010, I have also charted Joan Jett, Prince, Devo, Human League, Missing Persons, Rod Stewart, Adam Ant OMD, Bon Jovi, New Order, Warrant, Whitesnake, and Trans -X. Back this week with a brand new #1 song From Pretty Boy Floyd's  ,2018 comeback album. Up until now; the band have scored 4 hits on my personal chart. Two from ,"Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz", including the top 5 hit ;"Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)" One form "Porn Stars", and "Earth Girls" from 2004's "Size Really Does Matter". Their style ranges from Poison to Motley Crue to Kiss and Faster Pussycat's sleaze Metal with a pinch of glam. This week I'm charting two songs from their new album ,and "We Got The Power" is their first #1 song on my chart. Also cracking the top 10 is Sweden's ;White Widdow with the Power ballad "Last Chance For Love", and with Swedish Metal setting the Airwaves on fire (i'm looking at you, Ghost), there is bound to be plenty Metal songs to go around. This week we have three new songs debuting, including new Alice Merton, New Metal from England, in the form of Wraith and the highest debut from Paramore called "Rose Colored Boy", A song I loved from the first time , I previewed it. *Also added a few footnotes to the Hard Rock songs on my chart to give an idea of what 80's Metal style they most sound like. HOT List: Starting off this weeks adds with a song I like, but keep forgetting to add. It currently on both AAA and Alt charts, and really sounds nothing like this artist's prior hits. Probably why I like it. Anyway, lets see if melodic ,James Bay - Pink Lemonade , can crack my top 50? My second add is a song that's already on my MEtal Chart, from Five Finger Death Punch. The bassline and chorus sound great. It reminds me a bit of a Nickelback  song? Maybe more than one? My last add is from a band, who already had a big #1 hit on my chart this year. Metal Chart* "Shadow Of Your Love holds #1 for a second week, and I'll probobly keep it here until I debut it on my chart, because there are a lot of great rockers looking for Top 10 action on my top 50. This week's highest debut is the New York City based Station. This is some good time feel Rock n' Roll. The actual song start 50 seconds into the MV. Also back on the frontline is the Swedish ; CRASHDÏET. "We Are the Legion" is their new single, including new lead vocalist; Gabriel Keyes. My last debut is from Butcher Babies and this is the new video of how they filmed "Look What We've Done". They have toned down the screaming a bit for radio, but still the same great vocals and ,a very power song.

We have a big week of excitement as we say goodbye to four songs. In their place come four new debuts. Starting off with Simple Minds ,and the song Magic". This is actually the first single off the new album. It's a good song for them ,but I like "The Signal and The Noise" a lot more for first single material. It's a stronger song and sounds more like the band. Debut number two is one of the fastest rising songs on the Active chart, and the first time I chart a Five Finger Death Punch, since last year's "I Apologize". Moving on to single Number three, we find another 80's icon returning with new material. This time it's Tears For Fears with "I Love You, But I Am Lost". Which brings us to this week's highest debut from The Stone Temple Pilots. It's the second single from their 2018; self titled album, and its called "Roll Me Under". Now for the big news. In just 7 short week, Ghost have conquered my top 50 with the first single off "Prequelle", called "Rats". Easily my favorite Ghost song ever, and should hang on for quite sometime? maybe until "Dance Macabre" catches up to it? I'll bring back some Vinyl Art and more vids next week.Green = Debut song. HOT List: My fist new add comes Indiepop sensations Fickle Friends. I like to think I was one of the first fans to chart this band. I can remember first hearing "Swim" back in 2014. Now ,four years later and with a full album come Fickle Friends with the track "Bite". This one has exactly the type of vibe I like my Indiepop to have. The big thumping bassline, Groovy Guitar riffs and melodic synths. The second add is from Pale Waves; who currently hold down the #8 position on my chart. The second track that has caught my fancy is "New Years Eve". Interesting to see how they fare on the chart after The 1975 unleash their new single, "Give Yourself A Try" on my chart?  The last add is my favorite song of the week. It's from the Heavy Metal band; Ghost. This time they are taking a page from 80's Scorpions and Kiss and really hitting that bullseye with "Dance Macabre". With thier current single; "Ratts" already taking over the #1 slot on my chart, we could easily have two Ghosts songs in the top 10 by early as August?

Metal Chart* The always exciting Metal chart is debuting two new songs. Both by Powerhouse bands in their own Country. We have Germany's POWERWOLF breaking in with their new song "Demons Are Girls Best Friend". This one is mega catchy and could jump into my top 50. The highest debut goes to one of my favorite J-Meatl bands around. It's the new single from Band-Maid called "Dice". These ladies know the meaning of the words Fierce Metal. the guitar riff has a little bit of VR's "Slither" in it. The rest of the chart has songs switching up and down. back int the top 10 are FOLLOW THE CIPHER, and FFDP make another 3 notch jump with "Sham Pain". A song that this week also debuts in my top 50.

Ghost hangs on to #1 for a strong, second week with "Rats". The album is also my favorite new album of the week. Elsewhere in the top 10, we have both Simple Minds and White Widdow taking strong strides into the top 5. No new songs enter the top 10, but Carly Rae Jepsen's "Higher" is right outside the door and could score a big Pop hit on my chart by next week? This week we have a fairly calm chart with only a few big movers, with the highest jump going to Alice Merton's "Lash Out". Our two debuts this week are media base charting songs as well. First we have the highest debut from Guns N' Roses and their re release of "Shadow Of Your Love", and at #50 we have last week's #1 song on Pulse top 100 chart. Its the first time on my chart for James Bay, but it's with a really cool song, called "Pink Lemonade". Let's all give a big middle finger to the big time, alt chart for flopping this catchy bop.  Brought back some sleeve art and a few vids this week. Green = Debut song. HOT List: Let's get right into my top 5 adds of the week. The 1975 are back with a great bop called, "Give Yourself A Try". This is what I consider perfect dance music. Rock n' Roll Hall of Famers; Cheap Trick return with an uber coool summer jam called, "The Summer Looks Good On You". this one is full of guitar riffs and licks from all their past hits and should blow up here by the time my B-day comes along. Up next we got Alternative Indierock icons; Interpol and their new single "The Rover" .I'm giving this one early add spins because it's one of the few charting Alt songs of the moment,that I consider really great. My last two adds are from indie bands. One, is Indierock, with a side of Poppunk. They call themselves Real Friends and their new single is "From The Outside". last, but not least are the Indiepop band; Panda Cult. This song is called "Blue Angel" and it has a great 80's sound to it. Complete with a saxophone solo that is super sexy.

Metal Chart* A new #1 as "Shadow Of Your Love is now officially in my top 50. This week Salems Lott rises up a spot to #1 with "Shattered To Pieces". Salems Lott stage personas are based on J-Metal's Visual Kei bands with a sound reminding of 80's Glam Metal. The three debuts are all rock songs currently on the mediabase Active top 50. Ex, Skillet, Ledger is up first with "Not Dead Yet", followed by Halestorm's new single "Uncomfortable" , and my highest debut goes to my favorite song off Breaking Benjamin's "Ember" album. "Torn In Two" could easily be my favorite song from them since "Diary Of Jayne" way back in 2005. The Salmes Lott sleeve art is my own original.
