Due to popular demand on the heels of the 2016 Country Rankdown wrapping up tonight, I am starting this thread right away! This Rankdown will include the top 100 Billboard Country Airplay singles of 2015.

If you would like to participate, please rank the songs from 1-100, with 1 being your favorite. This preference revealer can be used as a tool to help your rankings be done more easily. After you have finished your sorting, send your list to me via PM.

Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 10th at 11:59pm Pacific Time!

I couldn't recall for the life of me who sang "Trouble", I had to do an extensive online search. Figured out it was Glorianna, but man that can't bode well for them here lol

Amen, I literally couldn't even remember the song when I first saw it. Going back to listen it sounds familiar, but it's not even that good of a song, so they certainly don't have much going for them


I also never even heard "Trailer Hitch", "(This Ain't No) Drunk Dial", or "Games" on the radio, so I'm a little shocked they earned enough airplay points to make the list!

Oh gosh the bottom of my list is truly the BOTTOM.

I think there's a lot more deviation on my feelings from 1 down to 100 on this than there was for 2016. 2016 was better overall, but the singles I loved in 2015 I loved more than the singles of 2016...likewise with the fact that I didn't dislike any songs of 2016 as much as I do my 95-100.

In the 2016 Rankdown, I ranked "Break Up in a Small Town" at #57 and "I'm Comin' Over" at #50. This Rankdown, there is a 18 spot difference between the two instead of a 6 spot difference. Wow, were there just a lot of okay songs in 2015. There were also a ton that I had no recollection of at all and had to look at the Spotify playlist to see who sang them and then listen to them to remember how they went. There are however some GREAT songs on this chart, just a lot less of them than in 2016.

Also, I expect my taste to be MUCH more polarizing in 2015 than in 2016 with my love for certain songs and artists. Although, my top 3 should all make the top 5.

Nope, this one's staying right here :) There are usually rules against games like this being made in the Country forum. An exception was made for the 2016 Rankdown because it was a special occasion due to the ending of 2016, so it was allowed to serve as a sort of year-end tournament. But honestly the Country forum doesn't need a bunch of games cluttering it up.

Besides, now that there is significant interest in something like this, we should be able to entice enough Country posters to venture out of the Country forum to participate :)

Oh this! This exactly! I overall liked the 2016 list better but the highs here are much higher! Can't wait to see some of my bottom songs drop out!

Gloriana, despite me overall liking that song never had a lot going for them. They were always viewed as the inferior Lady Antebellum to many and they never managed to get much of any success.

Also "Trouble" only did as well as it did due to excellent promo from the label, cause what I remember the song sold hardly anything, Gloriana dropped an album that was overall panned or at best had poor reception and they were never heard from again. The end.

"Games" got in due to unsolicited radio airplay and actually made the Top 20 for Country radio on that alone. "Trailer Hitch" was a fluke and "This Ain't No Drunk Dial" sold mediocre and flamed out.

All of the songs listed peaked in the 20-23 range and absolutely none of those songs will be remembered and in Gloriana's case neither will the artist.

Sorry for the long post, I just had to get some frustration out!
