"This Ticonderoga" over "Encore" and "We Turn Red"...yeesh.
Oh well, my top 4 is the top 4, so I can't really complain.

Surprised to see "We Turn Red" get shafted. That one sounds fresh from them, and reminds me of their more fun, playful style (like "Give It Away" and "Can't Stop").

The Nick Cave and Saint Motel albums are also eliminated in the next rankdown because no one voted for them. On the other hand, lots of new albums enter the next ballot (to be voted during catalog rankdown #2): The Boy Who Died Wolf and The North Corridor re-enter, California, Every Where Is Some Where, Eternity in Your Arms, Crooked Teeth and Pollinator enter the list.

I like Incubus more than CTE, but the latter would make for a more compelling rankdown.

Incubus, I need a reason to listen to the album.

Incubus easily. Since CTE's first album, I've barely liked any of their stuff.

The CTE album has already been around. It seems dated; just because "Trouble" spent an eternity on the chart. Besides; except for "Cold Cold Cold" , I didn't really flip for it. I'm for Incubus; just so I can listen to the new album again

Not too keen on ranking either album tbh; CTE's album was only okay and I haven't heard much good things from 8, though I did like "Nimble Bastard".

Incubus please.
Cage the Elephant can be thrown in the trash where they belong.

If you guys haven't checked it out yet, the duet cover between Incubus and Cage the Elephant for Black Hole Sun was the highlight of last month's KROQ Weenie Roast festival.

Jeez. I 've been submitting Saint Motel for every rankdown.... and just so you know? I'm going to again. Comon people, get with the program. I'm also here to remind you about Phoenix's great new album.

Reviews of 8 are way too harsh IMO. It might the most innovative or complex album ever, but it's still a solid collection of songs that showcases what Incubus do best. I'm not usually the type to dump on critics, but it seems like some of them decided they were going to bash this album before they even listened to it. "Glitterbomb", "Loneliest", "Love In a Time of Surveillance", and "No Fun" are highlights for me. And "Nimble Bastard" will be near the bottom of my rankings.

I really didn't like Nimble Bastard so i had low expectations for 8...but it is so diverse - I have to admit that this album, while not amazing, is pretty good overall

I was actually disappointed in this album. Especially considering how great Trust Fall was.
