I like this idea. I was thinking we rankdown a bunch of different albums in a single list when you first announced it (ex. Gore vs. Drinking from a Salt Pond vs. The North Corridor etc.).

*cough* I'd argue Pulse Top 10s is irreplaceable *cough*

I'm not a massive Deftones fan but I might be able to cobble a list together. One of the things I enjoy about the Rankdowns is ranking songs from a bunch of different artists so I prefer using the year-end countdowns more but I'm sure others might prefer this format.

yeah, I'd prefer this idea, though it might be easy for some posters to place all Deftones songs above, let's say Modest Mouse songs, just to use a random example.

I like the idea, and yet I hate you at the same time for choosing to start with an album that will be torture for me to rank.

Okay, that's not entirely true. I feel confident about my top three. After that, it's a crapshoot.

I was more saying albums as a whole rather than individual tracks from each album. Unless I totally misunderstood what you said.

And here is your form to suggest albums to rank next! You have to suggest 10 albums (since there may be many people choosing only 1 album). Albums must be under 18 months old or have a current single promoted. We will do rankdowns of older albums once every 5 rankdowns.

As you probably know I thought Gore was a massive letdown but I'm still familiar with the album and there are a few good tracks so I'll probably partake.

But wait, since Redbone and All Night were sent for adds can I count Awaken, My Love and Coloring Book? Even though not technically Rock, they're universally loved.

I like the idea of older albums every 5 albums. I'm not the biggest Deftones fan, but I'll play along. Couldn't you have picked Revolution Radio to get us started with a Bang  ;)

I like this idea. Very similar to the Top 10 per artist, but not as difficult since it's just from one album. I'll get to this tomorrow.

Question before I submit my list of ten albums. Can it be a band that had no radio adds? I'm looking through my album of the year list from last year and about half never had songs that saw the light of day on radio.

yes, but you are encouraged to participate in the album rankdown as well, unless you hate the tracks/band so much you don't want to do it

the album is over 18 months old and no single is now promoted on Alt now so you'll have to wait till catalog week to suggest it anyway
