Really hoping how good this album was pushes Kurt Vile to take his new album coming out to their level too. Such good music.

Just submitted my list. I'm going to be honest. This was a bit of a tough listen for me. I think I would enjoy their sound in certain instances (like driving on a rainy day), but it's not an album or band that I'd listen to on an every day basis. I rated it a 2.5/5.

My biggest complain is that these songs are way too long to keep my interest up. Especially those country like ballads.
That being said, this record has some pretty nice bops on it.

I'm coming to crash the Alt/Rock Album Series again, I really loved "Holding On" and "Pain" in their respective Madness tournaments and I've decided to check the album out! "Thinking of a Place" was a bit too much with 11 minutes but overall a very solid album.

I'm disappointed at you guys that "Thinking of a Place" isn't even top 5. Such a great song. (although that could be said for most of this album)

ha I actually tanked the popular one to tank and got that bottom half almost right. I wouldn't even consider myself a fan. At the same time My #2 didn't even make the top 5. That one is such a bop.

This is like Aesthetic Dreampop. Some of these songs were pretty cool. A couple of albums that are out now to vote for are ;Pale Waves - My Mind Makes Noises, The Interrupters - Fight The Good Fight, and Interpol - Marauder. Also let's not let 'Feed The Machine' slip through our fingers.

I don't even know what was the hit off this album, but I thought "Don't Know Why" was pretty cool. Should have ended up higher. AT least my Top 3 is still kicking.

Up next, we rank the latest album from Alice in Chains. (in another surprising win, to me at least) As for the current album rankdowns, eliminated are albums from Alvvays, Courtney Barnett, Franz Ferdinand and Parquet Courts. Making the ballot are albums from IDLES, Interpol and The Interrupters. Since we're ranking The Sufferer & the Witness next, there is no voting for the next catalog ballot, although you can still suggest catalog albums. Here's what's in the catalog ballot, so do NOT, I repeat, do NOT suggest them in your form. {Albums already in the ballot}Anberlin - Cities Arcade Fire - Funeral The Beatles - Abbey Road The Cars - Candy-O Depeche Mode - Violator Foo Fighters - The Color and the Shape Green Day - Dookie Incubus - Morning View Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights The Killers - Hot Fuss Lorde - Pure Heroine Metallica - Master of Puppets Nirvana - Nevermind Pearl Jam - Ten Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication Sigur Rós - Ágætis byrjun Slowdive - Souvlaki Sublime - Sublime System of a Down - Toxicity Tame Impala - Lonerism Tool - Lateralus Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album) Weezer - Weezer (White Album) Album Rankdown #34: Alice in Chains - Rainier Fog
