I can't wait for the Jacques Lu Cont mix. I hate the James Michael mix. I am very interested to listen to this too ... I loved his mix for Juliet's "Avalon"!

So far, I have loved the version that was on the Gap Favorites CD. The James Michael Mix was just okay.
I heard a rumor a while back when the Gap CD was coming out that Dave Aude was going to do a remix. Let's hope it's true.
Jacques Lu Cont could do this song justice.

Huh? So a lot of the tracks on The Collection are remixes? ??? Also yay for a Vancouver Session track. Although I'd prefer it to have been "Still", it's much better than the studio version. :)

Even though the source said it was "final".

CD Maxi-Single W694CD2 1. Crazy 2. Joining You (Melancholy Mix)3. Crazy (Claude Le Gache Club Mix) I've gotta get a copy of that Joining You mix. That's probably my favorite Alanis track. I didn't realize that she was covering Seal when I saw the title for this song - I should have known from that god awful GAP commercial. I got the promo with Claude de Gache Club Mix, Eddie Baez Club Mix, and James Michael Single Mix. I really liked the Eddie Baez. We'll see on the other two.

I am just loving the Claude de Gache, Eddie Baez and James Michael mixes! It took me awhile to start liking the JM mix, but I'm liking it now.
This is another great set of mixes for an Alanis Morissette track!

Courtesy of Billboard.com
Considering the schizo mix of iPod and Jack radio playlists, it is not surprising that Alanis Morissette chose Seal's sublime 1991 "Crazy" to spice her best-of, "The Collection," out Nov. 15. But the result—a faux rock disco throb—is a bit disconcerting. Morissette pumps out unabashedly muscular beats and sugars them with semi-crunchy, phasing guitars, as if she were vying for a dancefloor kiss from Madonna. The vocal performance throughout the verse honors Seal's template and works up a shivery groove that recalls the furious bravado of "You Oughta Know," her 1995 debut. But only seconds later, the techno staccato in the chorus turns "Crazy" into a bland slice of synth-soaked AC pop. The promo single's additional Glen Ballard Mix cranks up the guitars and drives this bizarro project home. —Sven Philipp

Although I'd prefer it to have been "Still", it's much better than the studio version. :) These aren't like club mixes. They are radio/single mixes, mostly by Chris Lord-Alge. He does alot of mixing for many artists. He just kinda spruces up tracks for radio play. And from the amount of work he's done, he certainly knows what the hell he's doing. His brother Tom does the same thing too! Even though I have most of the material, this collection looks like it will be worth picking up. I don't know how thrilled I am with the Crazy mixes though. Peace, Ben

I didn't even know that "Eight Easy Steps" had a "Radio Mix"??? How much different is it from the album version? Or is it barley noticeable?

i just heard all the mixes today... and i must say, i'm really feelin' the james michael mix. runner up has to be claude le gache mix. eddie's mix, while okay, still feels a little "raw" ... (or maybe it's just me. LOL.) loved the video too... nice twist.

The Interstate Mix is really weird - they made her voice sound really flat. ???

A couple of the Hot AC/AC stations in the San Francisco market are playing that James Michael mix. It sounds real good on the radio.
