The Beatles number of hits should be under the question, because of the structure of the chart at the time, they were the boy band and had the hits in a very short time, so in terms of longevity only Paul Mccartney should count. An also the greatest is still Michael Jackson, I mean if the feature counts, but being a band member doesn´t count - how stupid is that. All Michael Jackson hits with The Jacksons should count, especially as he was the main attraction of the band, basically others were his background singers.

Why does it matter if they're solo or not? As long as she's the lead what's the issue? well if that's hoe to look at it. You have to add the Jackson's/jackson5 hits to Michael's total since he was lead or featured. And add all solo hits from each member of them Beatles to their totals. It only makes sense. Diana Ross and the Supremes. Numbers would drastically change if a song features any artist. Yeah if Rihanna gets credit for just singing a chorus, then Diana Ross and Michael Jackson should certainly get credit for all of those group songs where they sang lead the whole song.

Reminder - being the lead on your own single =/= lead in a band

bat- I figured as much. But TAB was a songwriting/production collaboration between the two. And it really is just backing vocals, as he just repeats some parts that she sings and has backing in parts of the chorus. In regard to this week's Hot 100, with "Million Reasons" dropping from the top 10 after a single week, that makes three "diva" Super Bowl-performed singles that speant a solitary week in the top 10. The release schedules differed for all of them ("Give Me All Your Luvin'" got its push that SB weekend, though the non-features version had leaked a few months prior; "Formation" was available to purchase some weeks after the SB; and MR had officially been out for a few months).

Adam sings lead on every Maroon 5 song, so to that end it's no different than a singer who has the same band and/or backing singers behind them all of the time. How is Maroon 5 any different than, say, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band or Prince & The Revolution?

I know Joel Whitburn isn't official the way Billboard is, but I've always found it odd how he groups George Michael/Wham! and Boy George/Culture Club together but not, say, Adam Levine/Maroon 5 or Rob Thomas/Matchbox 20. He's not always consistent.

All this chatter about what "counts" doesn't really matter unless one of you guys is publishing a book or something. Or start a thread where you apply the same consistent rules across everybody and share your own list of who has the most hits based on your criteria.
Otherwise you're just talking in circles.

Hannah Montana's songs don't count towards Miley Cyrus, I'm pretty sure, even though we know they're literally the same person.

Can't Stop The Feeling (Holds at 25 this week, 41 weeks on the chart) is the new oldest song on the chart as we lose two to the 52 week rule.

F**K MEMES ARE BACK ON THE HOT 100 88. DJ Suede The Remix God - Cash Me Outside (#CashMeOutside)
But except for that it was a pretty good week! I'm very happy to see iSpy in the top 20, Down in the top 30, I Got You in the top 50, even that country song that I kind of like even though I am completely ignorant about the genre Dirt On My Boots reached top 40. Even Castle On The Hill rebounded a little!

What I noticed about this week's chart is "Everyday" and "It Ain't Me" are one position lower than when they were originally announced, which leads me to believe Billboard made an error that they wanted to correct (maybe a song originally below "It Ain't Me" was at a much lower position than it actually is or a debut in the 63-84 range didn't appear originally when the announcements were made), thus delaying the chart for a few hours.

How did CSTF manage to stay at #25 without a bullet while All Time Low fell 24-26 with a bullet?
