Today Lana officially scored her second #1 with Lust For Life. Also, Born To Die returns to the top 100 at #92. This is its 286th week on the charts.

Initial thoughts on the album were mixed and I say this as a mega Lana stan who loves everything she puts out on first listen. 2 weeks later and it has become my 2nd favorite album of hers after Honeymoon. I love how she kept the muddy trap genre she invented for Honeymoon and blended it with some acoustic touches and her classic sound from Born To Die. The colabs are my least favorite tracks but I live for God Bless America and Get Free. Those 2 have serious shots of creeping inside my top 10 Lana hymns.

She should release that futuristic video for White Mustang soon As a way to celebrate her #1 I just hope she will do it and maybe make more videos. You can never be sure with her She said Honeymoon would have a lot of videos but there were only 3! Anyway... It happened I started to skip songs while listening I usually start with 13 beaches and listen all til BPBProblems ( man, the voice of that woman is just ... to me. Banal lyrics does make it worse) Trio: 13 beaches ~ Cherry ~ White mustang Is best on the album With Summer Bummer as a + after "That woman"?!! 😂😂😂 She's a legend!

Yeah, Stevie Nicks is a legend and an icon. You not knowing who she is doesn't take her legend status away, it just makes you look like you know nothing of musical history. She's one of the (if not THE) most iconic women in rock, a member of one of the most iconic rock bands of all time who released one of the biggest selling and most iconic albums of all time. And that speaks nothing of her solo material. She's a legend, her story is legendary and her music is legendary. And she completely walks away with BPBP, no offense to Lana who sounds amazing as well.
I also remember you knowing nothing of Carole King's Tapestry. Which is one of the most iconic (and best selling female) albums of all time and influenced generations of female performers. I highly recommend you dive into some of this stuff, because you're missing out.

Do I know all about French, Serbian or Italian music history? No, I don't. But I don't go out of my way to write it off or diminish it just because I don't know something. That's the issue people have with your post.
I've been posting here since 2003 and have had many arguments and differences of opinion with posters and have never had to block a single one. Because this is a music message board, it ain't that serious.

I will not stand for this Stevie Nicks slander! She is a legend and will be treated as such! And I totally respect your view. To some she is a legend to some she is just a musician. To some Trump is a president to some it is not. You tried, but this analogy is slander of the highest degree to the incomparable Stevie Nicks. It just seems very silly and conspicuous to go on about the alt. females of yesteryear like Tori Amos and Fiona Apple like you do, and just write off Stevie Nicks when she in many ways pioneered what that era of artists did in more ways than one. As far as their duet on Lana's album is concerned, my suspicions that their voices together would be odd was confirmed. Yes, Stevie's a far more experienced singer and it shows, and it would have been better if the song had only been hers, but even beyond that is that their very distinct voices just don't make a good match. I don't think more time for Lana to hone hers would change that, they're just different.

When did I attack you and post insults exactly? All I did was explain to you why your post rubbed some people the wrong way. And saying "that woman" in regards to a legend like Stevie is most definitely an intentional slight, please. Don't try to say it's not. Pulse Music is full of gays who love their female legends and icons, you will definitely be called out if you post something like that. A matter of fact, this isn't even the first time you've been called out for diminishing Stevie Nicks in this very thread. Take your lumps and let it go. I've been called out for all kinds of sh*t in my time here and I don't recall ever digging my heels in and being so dramatic.

Meanwhile, this album is still FIRE. At the end of the day, it will probably be in my top 5 of the year.

Now more than ever, I wish the mods could revisit the rules. I know trolling (especially regarding the blatant, not-so-clever kind) rules are clear-cut but what about complete inanity that adds nothing to anything?

I have no idea! She's definitely used that image before in her work, one of her many fetishes clearly.

I need Lana to do a decent-sized tour for this. I've only seen her at Governor's Ball but she got drowned out mostly by The Black Keys and I want to see her in a more intimate setting. I probably don't stand a chance in NYC though ugh. Edit: Whoohoo, new page!

Seeing her live tonight! The set list has been...a bit interesting to say the least (only 2 of her 5 biggest hits, Video Games and Born to Die) but looking forward to it!

She was awesome after a bit how to put it... lazy start. The set list was a bit weird but she did Summertime Sadness. My faves were Love, Change and Born to Die. The acoustic version of Love is amazing! Overall loved it.

It was Flow Festival in Helsinki.. The XX headlines today.
She's been doing Change on some gigs now, probably because of the political situation as she made a reference to US vs North Korea. Other three songs from Lust for Life were the same.

Apparently, from a video on Lana's Instagram, she is launching a world tour. I need to go to this. I really can't believe her level of artistry. I am so glad she has been able to withstand that early criticism to become one of the most essential artists today. She becomes more and more Lana with each album and I love it. In My Feelings and Cherry would be parody for anyone else but Lana. What a talent.

NOT her wearing the dreaded Amy Winehouse ballet slippers though! I hope she gives us videos for the strong songs on the album but honestly, I'll even take a video for White Mustang. I just need more Lana visuals period.

I worship her but the video is a mess. How Lana of her to film a video for a scrapped song, then write a whole other song based on a prop she used for that video and tap it on the filmed footage to cover up the mess. The most exciting part was when Get Free started playing but of course it'd be just a tease and not a full-blown intergalactic, retro future experience.
