Susanne Sundfor – “Kamikaze” (Sam, #5) vs. WOW. WOW. WOW.
Will Heard - "I Better Love You" (Juan Carlos, #7) This was hard. At the start Michael bored me a little, but turned great. I'm going with Will, I felt a great vibe.
Britt Nicole – “Through Your Eyes” (zaclord, #3) I liked both songs, but Setting Fires isn't strong than their other singles. I liked Britt's lyrics, but wtf with her voice?? It's so different to Gold. And I loved Gold a lot.
Reba McEntire - “Back to God” (bboat11, #7) I love SYWLG, but it's impossible Reba wins this set. I loved the song too. If I compare the first listening of both songs, I don't loved SYWLG at first listen, that's the reason of my vote.
Alvaro Soler - "Animal" (Juan Carlos, #5) When this was released, I knew I should heard this. I don't feel Animal more strong than Sofia, but Ritual is already burned on me. Gracias Juan! Viva España! Hahaha
The Weeknd – “Die for You” (Born In 1989, #7)
Cash Cash & ROZES - "Matches" (Yinzer Daya, #2)
The Shins - "Name for You" (Daryl, #7)

Susanne Sundfor – “Kamikaze” (Sam, #5) vs.
Jon Bellion – “Overwhelming” (jtd, #2) - Was that a theremin at the beginning of "Kamikaze"? lol. I can't say I was totally into it. It's not bad, but it doesn't interest me. "Overwhelming"'s verses are eh, but his singing parts are better. His songs all kinda sound the same to me lol. I think I'll go with "Kamikaze" because I think it could grow on me with future listens. Michael Logen – “Darkness Within” (Az, #6) vs. Will Heard - "I Better Love You" (Juan Carlos, #7)
- "Darkness Within" is pretty good. I usually like these kinda songs. I really liked "I Better Love You". Will's voice is great. I'm going with Will here. The Chainsmokers f/ XYLØ - "Setting Fires" (Yinzer Daya, #7) vs. Britt Nicole – “Through Your Eyes” (zaclord, #3)
- I really enjoyed "Setting Fires" on first listen. It's better than some of their generic singles they've released. I liked "Gold" back in the day, and I like "Through Your Eyes" a lot too. Is Britt still doing Christian music? This one makes me think it is, but I could see it not being a Christian song. I'll vote the underdog here. Reba McEntire - “Back to God” (bboat11, #7) vs. James Arthur – “Say You Won't Let Go” (zaclord, #8)
- I really don't care for Reba's voice. I liked the pre-chorus to "Back to God", but that's about it. "Say You Won't Let Go" has burned on me, but I'll still vote it. Alvaro Soler - "Animal" (Juan Carlos, #5) vs.
Marshmello f/ Wrabel - "Ritual" (lyhom, #3) - Alvaro's vocals are so smooth. I wish I knew what he was saying outside of 'animal'. "Ritual" is soooo good. I'll vote "Animal" because it is getting obliterated right now. Jamie Lynn Spears – “Sleepover” (.indulgecountry, #3) vs. The Weeknd – “Die for You” (Born In 1989, #7)
- "Sleepover" was okay. I like the production, but Jamie Lynn's vocals didn't really connect with me. I thought the lyrics were pretty meh too. This was my first listen of anything off of Starboy since my first listen when it came out, and I remember "Die for You" being one of the highlights. BT – “The Upside Down” (dm2081, #5) vs. Cash Cash & ROZES - "Matches" (Yinzer Daya, #2)
- I'm more of a vocal person for EDM music. "The Upside Down" was pretty good though. I think it would have sounded better with vocals. "Matches" has been one of my faves lately. I love ROZES, so I hope this can be the song that really breaks her into the mainstream. Bearson f/ Natalola - "One Step At A Time" (lyhom, #2) vs.
The Shins - "Name for You" (Daryl, #7) - I liked "One Step At A Time". I didn't like Natalola's vocals in the verses, but in the chorus they were fine. The beat is so good. I wasn't feeling "Name for You".

Susanne Sundfor – “Kamikaze” (Sam, #5) vs. Jon Bellion – “Overwhelming” (jtd, #2) "Overwhelming" is underwhelming. It might grown on me tho, but I'm siding with my choice now. I mean, damn, those synths...
Michael Logen – “Darkness Within” (Az, #6) vs. Will Heard - "I Better Love You" (Juan Carlos, #7) Tough choice. "Darkness Within" bring some '00s Rock vibe meanwhile at the same time "I Better Love You" have those '80s pop feeling. I'm going with the latter because it's better.
The Chainsmokers f/ XYLØ - "Setting Fires" (Yinzer Daya, #7) vs. Britt Nicole – “Through Your Eyes” (zaclord, #3) "Setting Fires" is very forgettable. "Through Your Eyes" is great on first two listens so I go with that
Reba McEntire - “Back to God” (bboat11, #7) vs. James Arthur – “Say You Won't Let Go” (zaclord, #8) "Back To God" is one of the best songs in the Country landscape currently, but "Say You Won't Let Go" is really warming to listen to.
Alvaro Soler - "Animal" (Juan Carlos, #5) vs. Marshmello f/ Wrabel - "Ritual" (lyhom, #3) "Animal" is one hell of a great song, but those production on "Ritual" put it down with no effort. My issue with the later song is the drop but it's a perfect song all-around. Anyone heard the similarities to Your Type?
Jamie Lynn Spears – “Sleepover” (.indulgecountry, #3) vs. The Weeknd – “Die for You” (Born In 1989, #7) Both are great representations for their respective genres. I'm going with Jamie Lynn because I like it more on first listen than when I first listen to the The Weeknd song.
BT – “The Upside Down” (dm2081, #5) vs. Cash Cash & ROZES - "Matches" (Yinzer Daya, #2) Never realized that ROZES has one hell of a vocal! And the drop on Matches was drop dead infectious! "The Upside Down" is a cool song too, the issue with the song is that it lacked a personality, sounds like yet another song for partying.
Bearson f/ Natalola - "One Step At A Time" (lyhom, #2) vs. The Shins - "Name for You" (Daryl, #7) Both are average, but I'm going with this song because it made me feel good

Susanne Sundfor – “Kamikaze” (Sam, #5) vs.Jon Bellion – “Overwhelming” (jtd, #2)- It took about a minute before 'Kamikaze' really starting going somewhere for me. Meanwhile it took all of two seconds for me to say 'f**k no' to 'Overwhelming'. #ByeBellion Michael Logen – “Darkness Within” (Az, #6) vs.Will Heard - "I Better Love You" (Juan Carlos, #7)- I heard 'Darkness Within' on the season six premiere of 'Suits' and I was instantly in love with it. Fun fact, in case you didn't know; Michael co-wrote Kelly Clarkson's 'Breaking Your Own Heart' and his own version is featured on his album 'New Medicine'. Will Heard's song didn't do that much for me, even though I was voting my own song anyway. The Chainsmokers f/ XYLØ - "Setting Fires" (Yinzer Daya, #7) vs.Britt Nicole – “Through Your Eyes” (zaclord, #3)- Britt's song wasn't bad but for me it was just there. 'Setting Fires' is one of the more interesting Chainsmokers songs I've heard; certainly better to me than their most recent singles. The Chainsmokers get my vote here. Reba McEntire - “Back to God” (bboat11, #7) vs.James Arthur – “Say You Won't Let Go” (zaclord, #8)- I've supported Reba previously when she's shown up in these tournaments but not this time I'm afraid. I'm not really into this song from here, meanwhile I've liked James' song for a few months now. Alvaro Soler - "Animal" (Juan Carlos, #5) vs.Marshmello f/ Wrabel - "Ritual" (lyhom, #3)- Marshmello's got this on lock, I'm just trying to soften the blow for Juan a little bit. Jamie Lynn Spears – “Sleepover” (.indulgecountry, #3) vs.The Weeknd – “Die for You” (Born In 1989, #7)- Not a fan of either of these, so I'm just gonna dig my heels in and not vote The Weeknd. :sip2: BT – “The Upside Down” (dm2081, #5) vs.Cash Cash & ROZES - "Matches" (Yinzer Daya, #2)- The utter disrespect to BT, who is a f**king incredible producer. Cash Cash in comparison? #NEXT Not to mention for me there's literally nothing special about 'Matches' anyway. :sip2: Bearson f/ Natalola - "One Step At A Time" (lyhom, #2) vs.The Shins - "Name for You" (Daryl, #7)- Bearson's song appealed to me. The Shins' song didn't.

Exhibitions - Set 2 ResultsSusanne Sundfor – “Kamikaze” (Sam, #5) vs.
Jon Bellion – “Overwhelming” (jtd, #2) - A close matchup in the beginning, but "Kamikaze" started running off with the lead after about 8 votes in. I guess we won't be seeing a Jon Bellion vs. Jon Bellion matchup after all. "Kamikaze" overwhelmingly wins the matchup 13-5. Michael Logen – “Darkness Within” (Az, #6) vs. Will Heard - "I Better Love You" (Juan Carlos, #7)
- This one was fairly close the whole set. Will Heard was up for a decent bit of it, which pays off, as Will beats Michael 10-8. The Chainsmokers f/ XYLØ - "Setting Fires" (Yinzer Daya, #7) vs. Britt Nicole – “Through Your Eyes” (zaclord, #3)
- Praise Jesus! The Christian song had God on its side, as Britt Nicole wins this one 10-8. Reba McEntire - “Back to God” (bboat11, #7) vs. James Arthur – “Say You Won't Let Go” (zaclord, #8)
- A not so close matchup throughout, as James Arthur pretty much had this in the bag the whole time. He wins 13-5. bboat11 has lost two of his songs to popular ones, oops lol. Alvaro Soler - "Animal" (Juan Carlos, #5) vs. Marshmello f/ Wrabel - "Ritual" (lyhom, #3)
- Another not so close one, but "Animal" started getting some traction towards the end. Well, mine was a pity vote and some others were too lol. "Ritual" wins 13-5. Jamie Lynn Spears – “Sleepover” (.indulgecountry, #3) vs. The Weeknd – “Die for You” (Born In 1989, #7)
- The second country song in this set goes down as well. Jamie Lynn's "Sleepover" can't go further like Britney's "Slumber Party" last tournament. The Weeknd moves on 11-7. BT – “The Upside Down” (dm2081, #5) vs. Cash Cash & ROZES - "Matches" (Yinzer Daya, #2)
- This one actually ended up closer than I thought. When I saw that "The Upside Down" was an instrumental, I thought it wouldn't stand a chance, but it held its own. In the end, the tag team of Cash Cash and ROZES wins this one 10-8. Bearson f/ Natalola - "One Step At A Time" (lyhom, #2) vs.
The Shins - "Name for You" (Daryl, #7) - After getting obliterated last set, lyhom is able to put forth two songs this set. "One Step At A Time" moves on 12-6.

Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness – “So Close” (raccoon, #4) vs. NEEDTOBREATHE – “HARD LOVE” (zaclord, #7) Andrew McMahon is pretty hit or miss for me, but I like this one. It's really catchy and kind of reminds me of like Passion Pit or something. The Needtobreathe song is really good too though. It's a close one, but the guitar solo and better vocals in Hard Love clinch it for me.
Zara Larsson f/ Ty Dolla $ign – “So Good” (HamedM1, #6) vs. Maddie & Tae - “After the Storm Blows Through” (bboat11, #3) I liked So Good more than I expected to. It grew on me as I listened to it. After the Storm Blows Through was harmless but not memorable.
Susanne Sundfor – “Delirious” (Sam, #3) vs. Keyshia Cole f/ Remy Ma & French Montana – “You” (.indulgecountry, #8) Susanne Sundfor continues to impress me. I like this one even more than the one in the last round. There's something about the way her voice sounds that reminds me of Stevie Nicks and the strings sound great. You wasn't too bad, but I didn't love it.
Zedd & Alessia Cara – “Stay” (MTSChart21, #2) vs. 2NE1 - "Goodbye" (Leo, #5) Stay was alright, but I don't really like Alessia Cara's voice. I liked Goodbye more than I expected to. I'm not a big fan of K-pop in general, so I wasn't expecting 2NE1 to have such a nice acoustic pop song. Really nice.
Keith Urban – “Blue Ain't Your Color” (dm2081, #4) vs. Brett Young – “Mercy” (bigfan101, #7) Blue Ain't Your Color was a pretty good country pop ballad. Mercy was boring and Brett Young needs to clear his throat.
Daya - "Love of My Life" (Yinzer Daya, #5) vs. courtship. - "Love for Everyone" (lyhom, #8) I don't like Daya's music very much, but this song was one of the better ones I've heard from her. I liked Love for Everyone a lot more though.
Sigala & Digital Farm Animals – “Only One” (ry4n, #8) vs. Tim McGraw & Faith Hill – “Keep Your Eyes on Me” (.indulgecountry, #6) Wasn't able to make it through Only One. It was catchy enough, but that effect on the vocals was atrocious. Keep Your Eyes on Me is kind of sleepy, but it's pretty enough.
Julia Michaels — "Issues" (YotamTS, #8) vs. Lana Del Rey – “Love” (Born In 1989, #4) Hey, the only two songs I know this round are against each other. I can't stand Issues, but Love is pretty solid.

Is Britt still doing Christian music? This one makes me think it is, but I could see it not being a Christian song. I'll vote the underdog here. She is! "Through Your Eyes" is the lead single from her most recent album. She'll be getting a second single soon I'm sure as "Through Your Eyes" already hit #1 on the Christian CHR chart and top 20 on the Christian AC chart. Britt took several years off between "Gold" and "Through Your Eyes" to start a family and now she has two super cute nuggets :) Britt was actually slated to send another song to CHR/Top 40 after "Gold" did relatively well, but she got pregnant and decided not to put in the effort to promote it and enjoy some time off. "All This Time" was slated to be that second single, which was actually the first Christian single from the record. I could see Capitol trying with her again at CHR/Top 40 with "Through Your Eyes" or another single sometime soon. Enjoy her current album here: Ps yay glad several of you liked it and she won at least one round :)

Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness – “So Close” (raccoon, #4) vs. NEEDTOBREATHE – “HARD LOVE” (zaclord, #7) Like AMITW's song but gotta go with mine obviously
Zara Larsson f/ Ty Dolla $ign – “So Good” (HamedM1, #6) vs. Maddie & Tae - “After the Storm Blows Through” (bboat11, #3) Least fave from Zara so far and my 2nd fave on Maddie & Tae's album. Easy
Susanne Sundfor – “Delirious” (Sam, #3) vs.
Keyshia Cole f/ Remy Ma & French Montana – “You” (.indulgecountry, #8) Meh, neither are a fave
Zedd & Alessia Cara – “Stay” (MTSChart21, #2) vs.
2NE1 - "Goodbye" (Leo, #5) Obsessed with Stay currently. Goodbye isn't bad though on first listen
Keith Urban – “Blue Ain't Your Color” (dm2081, #4) vs. Brett Young – “Mercy” (bigfan101, #7) Wow, this isn't fair. Love both so incredibly much but "Mercy" has been on repeat lately so I've gotta go with that.
Daya - "Love of My Life" (Yinzer Daya, #5) vs.
courtship. - "Love for Everyone" (lyhom, #8) Not my fave from Daya but still like it better
Sigala & Digital Farm Animals – “Only One” (ry4n, #8) vs. Tim McGraw & Faith Hill – “Keep Your Eyes on Me” (.indulgecountry, #6) Tim & Faith for sure
Julia Michaels — "Issues" (YotamTS, #8) vs.
Lana Del Rey – “Love” (Born In 1989, #4) I so do not get the Lana love...

I'm such a flop member, didn't bother to vote in a round that had my song I'm probably voting this time. I missed out on voting for the first round. I thought I would have had more time. (ETA: I thought everyone would have a chance to vote before the next round starts)

Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness – “So Close” (raccoon, #4) vs. NEEDTOBREATHE – “HARD LOVE” (zaclord, #7)
So close is a good song on first listen, sounds alot like a grower. I only knew NEEDTOBREATHE from their Brother song which I really liked. this one is pretty good too, that guitar solo was really good. It's a very tough one, I'm going with Hard Love. Zara Larsson f/ Ty Dolla $ign – “So Good” (HamedM1, #6) vs.
Maddie & Tae - “After the Storm Blows Through” (bboat11, #3) So good is definitely not the best that Zara has released, but I found After the Storm Blows Through pretty weak. Susanne Sundfor – “Delirious” (Sam, #3) vs.Keyshia Cole f/ Remy Ma & French Montana – “You” (.indulgecountry, #8) Damn, really liked Delirious. You is nice too. I'm going with Delirious. Zedd & Alessia Cara – “Stay” (MTSChart21, #2) vs.
2NE1 - "Goodbye" (Leo, #5) Zedd had better songs than stay, but it's still pretty good. Goodbye was decent, but I prefer stay Keith Urban – “Blue Ain't Your Color” (dm2081, #4) vs. Brett Young – “Mercy” (bigfan101, #7)Both are alright, I'm giving my vote for mercy since Blue Ain't Your Color seems to annoy me sometimes I listen to it Daya - "Love of My Life" (Yinzer Daya, #5) vs.
courtship. - "Love for Everyone" (lyhom, #8) Love Of My Life is pretty good on first listen and I didn't really liked Love for Everyone. Sigala & Digital Farm Animals – “Only One” (ry4n, #8) vs. Tim McGraw & Faith Hill – “Keep Your Eyes on Me” (.indulgecountry, #6)
Very surprisingly, I liked Keep Your Eyes On Me and Only One was pretty meh for me. Julia Michaels — "Issues" (YotamTS, #8) vs.Lana Del Rey – “Love” (Born In 1989, #4) I really like Love, but I love Issues
