I was confused on why James didn't use "Confused" last time, it's clearly the best song on their latest album. "Fever" is good, but it's not like I'll get a fever if I'm voting against it.

Never hear the 21p song before, probably because they got overexposed badly. The song was amazing. I hear a mix of Bastille + Eminem + Gorillaz + Madonna here, a very huge surprise. I've been reluctant to hear the new Jason DeRulo song and lawd do I NOT regret that.

Dan + Shay have good vocals and the song is good but not enough to make me turn against Call On Me, which I love so much.

Meh. Both didn't have lasting impression on first listen. I'm going with COIN because it 'might' grow on me in the future.

The new Mariah song is pretty bland. I don't care about it. Meanwhile "Don't Leave" is imo the best song both artists have putout so far. I actually thought about using it but then I figured someone must have had it already.

"John Wayne" is definitely the standout of Joanne. Lady Gaga's voice is sooooo good. The other song is not quite to match.

"Bounce Back" has slowly grown on me. It didn't take the L here. The other song... lol, that didn't even sound like Linkin Park. I missed their heavier stuff.

"Alaska" is so soothing and cool. It's so fucking good. Not a fan of the opponent, I've tried to get into it but I just can't.

- I haven't liked anything from Glass Animals, but I do like "Pork Soda". It's weird, but a good kinda weird. I've been trying so hard to get into "I Don't Wanna Dance" considering "Talk Too Much" was a #1 on my chart and still in the Top 5, but it's not really growing on me. I think I'll go with Glass Animals.

- This one ended the opposite of what I was imagining. Pulse favorites twenty one pilots get swallowed up by Jason Derulo, as "Swalla" wins 11-7. Starley – “Call on Me” (Ryan Riback Remix) (Sam, #7) vs.
Dan + Shay - "How Not To" (Kanenrá:ke Stacey, #4) - The biggest win of the set. "Call on Me" was up for pretty much the whole set and didn't face much competition. Starley & Ryan Riback beat Dan + Shay 13-5. Glass Animals – “Pork Soda” (thewebinator, #8) vs. COIN - "I Don't Wanna Dance" (lyhom, #4)
- We have our first tie of the tournament thus far. These two were pretty neck and neck throughout. COIN was up 9-6, but the final three votes swung in Glass Animals' way. Sadly for them, that wasn't enough, as "I Don't Wanna Dance" takes the matchup based on seeding, 9-9. Mariah Carey f/ YG – “I Don't” (jtd, #5) vs. Snakehips & MØ - "Don't Leave" (aerodynamite, #2)

Linkin Park & Kiiara – “Heavy” (gravey, #3) - The soft "Heavy" is eliminated in a fairly close battle. Rap hasn't done very well in these tournaments, but Big Sean is able to move past the first round. He wins 10-8. Maggie Rogers - "Alaska" (Daryl, #2) vs.

It randomly grew on me and is probably my third favorite on the album behind "Beat of Your Heart" and "Numbers or Faith" now. Nearly the whole album is flawless to me lol. I was going to use it this tournament, but because you used it, I decided to go with "Better". |

Sampha – “Under” (Sam, #6) vs. Jon Bellion - "iRobot"(YotamTS, #3) Why am I paired with Jon Bellion again? Though ojectively, "iRobot" is much better than "Overwhelming" and "Hand Of God". It sounds like an '00s Bjork song. The lyrics killed it a little but it doesn't matter because I like the mood of the song. Unlike the other instrumental song that appeared earlier, "Routine" actually has some personality in it, and it's cool without leaving Alan Walker's style. "Girlfriend" is highkey a jam. I like the flow of the song and like the way the rapper rhymes. The song sounds old-school and modern at the same time. I'm going with the latter.

Wait I expect another song to advance but that songs my least fav of the 8 and I only included it at last min cause I couldnt figure out what song to choose. So basically the song I picked I consider Good/Average and not Great. Just couldnt think of any filler songs. Since I needed 2 extra songs to put since only 6 of mine werent taken.

- "What If" was decent. I thought it was weak in parts, but strong in some part as well. "Light" was okay as well. I didn't really feel attached to either, but I guess I'll vote "What If"?
Yuna - "Best Love" (Kanenrá:ke Stacey, #7) vs.
Loreen – “Statements” (Az, #4)
- "Best Love" was one of the ones I had been anticipating the most in this tournament, but I thought it underwhelmed. It's alright. I liked "Statements". Another I wasn't totally into, but I feel like it could grow.
Sampha – “Under” (Sam, #6) vs.
Jon Bellion - "iRobot"(YotamTS, #3)
- The intro to "Under" was annoying... The rest was okay, but nothing special, a pattern so far in this set. It's nice hearing Jon in a different setting that doesn't sound like a retread of "All Time Low". "iRobot" was pretty good. It doesn't feel like a single, but a strong album track.
Electric Guest – “Back for Me” (thewebinator, #7) vs.
Martina McBride - “Everybody Wants to Be Loved” (bboat11, #2)
- "Dear to Me" burned on me so heavily and so quickly. "Back for Me" was okay, again, nothing special lol. #Justiceforbboat - I did like "Everybody Wants to Be Loved" more.

- I totally forgot Blondie was making new music again. I like the production on "Fun", but her vocals don't work for me at all. I liked "Dirty World". The production was very disco-y. His vocals weren't really fitting on the track to me, but I liked it for the most part.

- "Routine" was...okay. Nothing too interesting for an EDM song. "Girlfriend" just flat-out sucked lol.

- I like "Still Breathing" a decent amount. Definitely not among Green Day's bests, but it's a solid effort. I want to say that "Dance Alone" was generic, but man, I thought it was fun. This is the first matchup this set where I enjoyed both songs lmao. I'll go with Jana!
