I don't get people who would never release "Look What You Made Me Do" (unless we are speaking personal preference, as business-wise it was absolutely correct). That song, lyrically and production-wise was set up perfectly for the creepy/gossip-filled blockbuster visuals it delivered that put this era on the tip of everyone's tongue. Three weeks at number one, Spotify record, huge sales figures, top five Chr/Pop even before the push to #1, and cultivated the album to a 1+ million opening. In any realm, I'd say that's a job well done. No one will ever convince me "I Did Something Bad" would be a bigger talking point or produce visuals that exploded like THAT. It was the correct lead. It was the muddiness of the single that followed where things got messy.

The only way LWYMMD works is as the first single. Y'all wouldn't be saying this if it had spent a few more weeks inside the Hot 100, even if it was just 4 more weeks at #100.

The only way LWYMMD works is as the first single. Y'all wouldn't be saying this if it had spent a few more weeks inside the Hot 100, even if it was just 4 more weeks at #100. Tell it. If it had spent five more weeks in the top 10 on pop radio (which would extend its Hot 100 run simultaneously) people wouldn't have a bad word to say bout it, period. The only thing that song lacked was longevity, but it was still a huge hit. I will say I am glad some of her singles halted on the charts in a way, as expectations for her have been redefined (before they were astronomically high and always would have been tough to live up to). Now she can come into this next and a b**ch can breathe.

One of Taylor's Speak Now era demos leaked into the fan community over the past couple of days. I just added some information to the IC about it. The song is circulating under the wrong title "Battle", but it is actually called "Let's Go". I don't know where the song originated from.

Apparently it was leaked a while ago, but who knows if this is true:

I heard about all this info and it does seem like this is the alias of the person who leaked the song. The studio tech would have had access to record a copy of the song since they obviously knew the lyrics back then. However, their info is incorrect about the time of recording. So that calls into question everything else they have claimed.

Marsha Blackburn won the Tennessee Senate Election tonight to become the first female Senator from the State. Expect a track mentioning her on the next album.

One year of reputation and this is still one of my favorite albums by her. So It Goes... aged incredibly, one of my favorites.

Best collection of songs since "1989." My fourth most played album this month, cause I'm so into "Pray for the Wicked," "Trench," and "sweetener" lately.
Don't Blame Me is still the best song ever!!!

Before this era, I was a casual Taylor Swift fan. I thought her country songs were cute, I bought her pop transition songs, I loved 1989 and bought the album on release day, but this album (and her political statement) has made me a Stan. I will forever support this woman from here on out.
I’ve always been a Kelly Stan but Taylor’s Reputation is quickly becoming my favorite pop album of all time. My New Democratic Queen has slayed me this entire year and my album has not left my cars CD player

Call It What You Want is still my favorite on the album (with “starry eyes sparking up my darkest night” being perhaps my favorite lyric)

I still like:
Look What You Made Me Do Don't Blame Me I Did Something Bad Delicate Getaway Car
I won't turn the station if Ready for It or End Game come (I heard End Game yesterday on the radio but it must have been some old playlist because they also played Wolves and New Rules). CIWYW is still alright too. The rest I have no use for.

Many Taylor fans are familiar with the story of Gracie. Gracie's story is similar to that of Ronan's, as both suffered from cancer and Taylor wrote songs about both of them out of her kindness and love. Gracie from the rare Taylor Swift song "Gracie" has been doing well for a long time, but her cancer recently returned. She now has brain cancer which is considered terminal. Gracie's family has authorized me to get the word out there that any donations would be helpful. So any of you who have Taylor Swift fan connections, if you could help spread the word about Gracie's condition and the needed help, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm including the GoFundMe link below if you could kindly pass it on. Thanks. This is the fundraising campaign for Help Gracie Fight Brain Cancer: gf.me/u/nm8unx

It also means the "x song should be the next single" can be finally put to rest.
I'm guessing the writing was on the wall around the release of "Delicate" and that's why they didn't push anything else.

Shocked she's moving on from Big Machine. I wasn't expecting her to leave. Excited to see what she does next though and how this impacts her career.

....hasn't she been with Republic this entire time? Not exactly. Republic handled the release of the 1989 and reputation singles to pop radio, but that was it.

Great move, Taylor. Glad she didn't stick with Big Machine since they wouldn't give her back her masters.

I'm shocked that she moved on as well. However, I think we all know that Republic & Universal actually care about countries other than the USA so I'm expecting a bigger tour (locations wise) and international takeover with this era. She's coming.

She definitely came out on top with this move. The things she obtained while being on an indie label for that long..whew!

Didn’t her deal with BM also include rights to issue a GH set? Or did that get swapped for reputation? Since BM owns the masters, I wonder how they’ll try to maximize her work for their profits.
