Mystikal feat. Pharrell - "Shake Ya Ass"

The first single from Mystikal's 2000 release Let's Get Ready. The song was produced by The Neptunes and features vocals from Pharrell Williams, who makes a cameo in the video. The beat has a southern flavor that complements Mystikal's James Brown-esque raps. Pharrell sings falsetto. It peaked at #13 on the Hot 100. The radio edit is entitled "Shake It Fast".

I loved it the first moment I heard it. I thought the hook was a James Brown sample. This is one of those cases where the radio edit is better than the explicit version. The production is better on the album though.

This is the original radio version. It has the same altered verses as the popular version. I heard this on my old rhythmic station about 10 years ago.

Used to hear this one alot on WGCI and B96 when I was younger.  I liked this one.  There's also a radio edit version called "Shake It Fast".
