Jesus Shape of You is nearly double the only real threat at number one, That's What I Like. This is some Closer level domination. Well we were due for another 10 week number one, it's been a whole 3 number ones since the last one.
(I'm not saying that it'll come near the all time record, but if it does happen, I was the first to say it.)

simmnfierzig uses sales/750, airplay/900000, streaming/160000. It's like George's formula/(aproximately) 102. I don't remember exactly the formula George used. Has anyone tested it? Is it fairly accurate? I think I saw someone wrote sales/750, streaming/180000 weeks ago somewhere that I don't remember I've never tested, but the formula seems accurate. When it fails, it's for underestimating or overestimating the streamings. Before last month's change simmnfierzig used streaming/120000. In the first weeks after that he used streaming/150000.

I have an unpleasant feeling that "Tunnel Vision" is heading straight into the billion views club on YouTube... The video will keep this song in the top 10 for a long time.

A couple of things that could affect the Hot 100 in a couple of weeks are that Million Reasons is no longer on sale on iTunes, while I Don't Wanna Live Forever is back on sale.

I wouldn't expect any Hot 100 predictions to be too accurate. It's so hard to "guesstimate" streaming.

I wouldn't expect any Hot 100 predictions to be too accurate. It's so hard to "guesstimate" streaming. The inclusion of Pandora made things cloudier. What's worse about their chart is that they are even more arbitrary than Billboard and decide to stop having songs appear in their Top 100. Plus, I doubt anybody predicting can really know what their weekly positions correspond to in terms of numerical streams.

There's an interesting article on Billboard website, listing most common titles of songs that have charted on Hot 100. Here's the list:
10, "Call Me" Highest-charting: No. 1 (six weeks), Blondie, 1980
10, "I Love You" Highest-charting: No. 12, Climax Blues Band, 1981
10, "I Want You" Highest-charting: No. 4, Savage Garden, 1997
10, "One" Highest-charting: No. 5, Three Dog Night, 1969
10, "Smile" Highest-charting: No. 12, Scarface featuring 2Pac & Johnny B, 1997
11, "Crazy" Highest-charting: No. 2, Gnarls Barkley, 2006
11, "I Need You" Highest-charting: No. 9, America, 1972
11, "Without You" Highest-charting: No. 1 (four weeks), Nilsson, 1972
12, "Forever" Highest-charting: No. 2, Chris Brown, 2008
13, "Stay" Highest-charting: No. 1 (one week), Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs, 1960. Zedd and Cara's composition ups the count of songs called "Stay" to a lucky 13 in the Hot 100's history.
13, "You" Highest-charting: No. 9, Lloyd featuring Lil Wayne, 2007
14, "Angel" Highest-charting: No. 1 (one week), Shaggy featuring Rayvon, 2001
14, "Happy" Highest-charting: No. 1 (10 weeks), Pharrell Williams, 2014
14, "Runaway" Highest-charting: No. 1 (four weeks), Del Shannon, 1961
16, "Hold On" Beyond Wilson Phillips' and En Vogue's No. 1 and 2-peaking hits, respectively, other top 40 hits titled "Hold On" include those by Santana (No. 15, 1982), Jamie Walters (former lead singer of the Heights; No. 16, 1995), Ian Gomm (No. 18, 1979), Triumph (No. 38, 1979) and Kansas (No. 40, 1980).

How successful do you all think Waterfall will be on the Hit 100? Hard to tell. Stargate, Sia, and Pink have been very successful on the Hot 100, but I'm not sure how well Waterfall will do. I guess we'll have to see.

I Feel It Coming is already #10 in iTunes, while Million Reasons has already dropped to #17, as one would have expected.

Too bad people in America don't have they same taste as the UK. I would love to see the Top 20 with all 16 ed Sheeran songs make it.

So what Streaming - and the UK charts - have illustrated - it that is only a matter of time before an artist / album combo dominates the U.S. Hot 100 like Ed Sheehan did in the UK this week.
In the past Airplay has always been the factor that may have prevented such a play, but clearly if streaming's cultural influence keeps magnifying over the next 2 or 3 years… the Beatles' unique top 5 monopoly will be in jeopardy.

The UK chart doesn't include airplay. It's much easier for an artist to do what Ed Sheeran just did there because of that. It'll still be a long time before that happens in the US.

What are the chances of Katy CTTR going back to the top 10 On Monday ? Probably slim. It has airplay traction, but sales and streaming aren't the best. Closer and Bounce Back are weakening consistently, and will probably make way for Katy and The Weeknd on April 1st.

Especially if she wants to maintain her profile worldwide. She can do ok in the US because of YouTube, but she'll chart poorly in Europe since audio streaming has really monopolized the charts over there. I think she already realized this with "I Don't Wanna Live Forever", though.

I mean just look at J Cole. Every song debuted in the top 50 iirc. Just imagine what a big artist like, Rihanna, Taylor, Justin can do in the future.

Ed Sheeran's album and in two weeks Drake's More Life album will show if the Hot 100 formula was changed enough to prevent such things from happening, especially when tracks from the album are heavily streamed as they were for J Cole's during its first week.
