The Stephanie K mix is horrible and would sound way better if it were edited. The Aude mixshow is great, but the dub is better. Basically, out of these i'm leaning more toward the Glam As You Mix.

The larger train wreck occured when I played the Dave Aude mix at the party I was DJing at. The floors cleared as if someone had announced that terrorists had attacked! I was so crushed. I thought the remix totally rocked. It killed the mood for the rest of the evening. I had to play only stuff that I knew would always work. These teenagers I was spinning for were a tough crowd! WBT & SIO cleared the floors as well. If those don't work, there's something definitely wrong.

Just an "end of summer" get together. Music, food and dancing. There was very little of the latter. Songs like SIO [MA mashup], WBT [DJ Clue], "All About Us [Dave Aude]", "Call Me", "La Tortura", "Mesmerized", and many of the current songs were huge disasters. Songs like "What's Happenin' ", "American Life (Original)", "Freek A Leek", "Just A Little Bit" all worked. That was probably one of the worst DJ nights of my life.

The strange thing is that no one would request anything! Not even one request! The person throwing the party was all apologizing and said that the kids are into all that random rapper stuff and rock. I'm like, "why didn't you tell me this sooner?!" She's like, "I guess you were in tune with what the kids like these days." I could play some of the house and trance music for another group of people the same age and it works. Even at school dances, the house and trance works.

Wow, they liked "American Life" but not "We Belong Together"? Those people are crazy.
Like a year ago when I graduated high school we had this party in the cafeteria (it was official), and everything was hip-hop (which I also love), but people absolutely also went wild for "Sandstorm". And this is a senior class who wanted "Get Low" to be our graduation song.

DJ Clue is hip hop, and "La Tortura" is, well, CRAP! If I hear hip hop music and reggeaton at a dance club, I'll run for the doors PRONTO!

Most of the stuff I would not play normally worked. The funny thing is that a lot of the stuff people here at Pulse consider to be crap music worked really well. OMG! The Ashlee Simpson song "La La [Original]" was a hit! And Kelly Osbourne's "Papa Don't Preach." :o

LMAO... That reminds me of this time that I went to this party in Pennsylvania, where all the little white kids were bumping and grinding to Mandy Moore's "Candy". I ran out of there so fast. Me and my friend were laughing so hard. It was like we stepped one foot through the door and then we left.

So, when I first got the mixes, I just kinda searched through them real quick to see what they were like, and I thought the Stephane K mix sounded real off. But I just gave it a full listen and I think it is a nice reinterpretation of the song. Not a dancey mix by any means, but I kinda enjoy it.
Peace, Ben

This single is quite easily my new favorite song, though Deborah might be changing that soon enough. My jaw dropped when I saw the video - hot! I'm really glad they didn't fade out of the US market like so many other foreign groups.

OMG me too...I really think the vocals are beautiful...I mean hell...they aren't amazing songs...but when Lena hits that high note in the chorus...as electronically enhanced as that may be...I think its really beautiful The video is good too. The girls look beautiful as well.

When I first heard the Mixes I didnt really like any of them but I've pretty much been listening to the Mixes non stop and I must admit they have grown on me. I especially like "Dave's Acid Funk Dub" the only Mix I dont really care for is the "Glam As You Mix"... But overall they are pretty good Mixes.

Euh..Am I the only 1 who appreciates Stephanie K's mix??? I would've liked to hear more of those strings in it.. In my ops she did a great job using those strings in this mix... Guess what it would've sounded liked without....

I can't stand hip hop either, at least 95% of it. And I agree totally with your comments about "one hit wonder." I would be SHOCKED if this shows up anywhere near the Billboard Top 40. Not that Billboard is the be-all, end-all for what's "cool," but a couple of somewhat decent looking girls pretending to be lesbians in order to sell a few records is about as weak as it gets!

Their albums are not good... for one, they can't sing! They sound completely off-key on all of thei songs. They were lucky Trevor Horn produced the hit single for her.

They are good for dance/electronica artists. There are plenty of popular and "good artists" who can't really sing. Take Madonna. She doesn't have great range...she was critically panned for her performance in "Evita" yet she still is considered good. Now I am not comparing t.A.T.u. to Madonna...but I AM saying there are people who can't sing who still make good music
