Anyone have a link for a new preference ranker site? The initial one I had isn't up anymore and can't seem to google the correct thing to find what i'm looking for.

Got mine in, the Top 30 are some of my favorite country songs period...that was pretty difficult to rank. After that, a lot of it was just off first time listens, but I found a few new songs I'll be adding to my music collection.

castleoblivion26 could the voting period be extended through next weekend? I was going to do my rankings this weekend, but with it being Easter I doubt I'll get it done.

I was gonna do a post tagging those who haven't submitted yet to see if you needed a deadline. Therefore I am changing the deadline to next Saturday April 22nd. Again I want as many people who want to participate to be able to so if you need more time let me know.

Currently revisiting these songs. Can we just talk about Martina and Clint's 3-part harmonies on the bridge of "Still Holding On" tho? Especially since Martina is doing 2 of them SLAY, goddess!!!

Since a lot of country posters like to hide out in the country forum, I would suggest maybe PMing a few people who you think may be interested in this one as well instead of just tagging them, castleoblivion26. I'm sure this would still be fine with few participants but I think the more we could get, the merrier. Just a suggestion since I know a lot of them are hermits and don't visit this forum much. :)

Hey all, I simply don't know most of these, and I would hate to make snap judgements and sway the voting, so I am going to sit this one out.
Please tag me in the results though!

I know the deadline's approaching, but I am almost done with this! Just got to Tim McGraw, listening through the list alphabetically by artist the way you posted it on the first page :) This takes so long when you only know like 1/3 of the songs... Lol.
Fortunately from here on out we have lots of big names, so I know pretty much everything that is left except the Ty Herndon and Wynonna songs. Will definitely be able to finish and submit tomorrow!

Ok! So I'm going to pour myself a glass of wine, put the songs in the Preference Revealer, and do this! Will probably take me a few hours lol; it usually does, but I will send it in before I go to bed tonight :)

Finally submitted my list! Guys, I have no idea how this is going to go... I absolutely love my top 20 or so, and the rest is pretty much a random amorphous glop of songs I like quite a bit. I know some people are going to be appalled by my #100, and many of the other songs in my bottom 10, but I really truly do not dislike a single song in this competition... This was so hard to rank! Especially considering that probably 70 of these songs were first-listens for me.

This was so hard to rank. The only songs I didn't really like are the ones I ranked in the 90's, even the songs I ranked in the 80's are really good songs.

Alright we have 13 people who submitted their list. I welcome everyone to follow along and anyone who wants me to tag them in results I can do that. Here are a few questions for you all to guess on before we start the reveal tomorrow night. What songs do you expect will be gone in the first 5 eliminations? How many people will lose their #100 song? how many people will lose their #1 song? What will be the most disliked song out of all 100 songs? Which artist that has more than one song in the rankdown will lose all their songs first? What will be the most disliked song out of all 100 songs? Which artist that has more than one song in the rankdown will lose all their songs first? bigfan101 1. I'm not too sure, honestly. I really don't have much of a gauge on this year in terms of how well-liked everything is. I have a hunch that Alabama's "Dancin', Shaggin' on the Boulevard" won't last past the top 5. I would say Garth is a shoe-in for the bottom 5, considering how many people dislike him on Pulse...but he has Trisha Yearwood to help him out here, which I think will kinda save his bacon. I am going to go out on a limb and say that John Michael Montgomery loses something in the bottom 5. Also, Neal McCoy will be eliminated early. 2. Everybody will lose their #100. (But in the first 5 eliminations, I predict that 3 people will lose their #100). 3. Everybody will lose their #1. (In the first 5 eliminations though, I doubt anyone loses their #1). 4. Literally no idea here. I'm going to go ahead and predict "The Shake", although I have absolutely no reason to condemn that one so hard. 5. Most of the artists with multiple songs should be safe for awhile. I'm going to say John Michael Montgomery will be the first artist with multiple songs who gets completely eliminated. His output this year was very bland compared to the likes of Alan Jackson, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, and pretty much everyone else with multiple songs. (Alabama will probably give John a run for his money though. If he's not the first one, they will be.)

I like to thank Kanenrá:ke for harassing me to submit a list, lol. My mind has been not on Pulse much lately but I carved out 15 minutes of my time this afternoon and did the preference revealer. You're welcome.

I will be very interested to see if any artists end up having multiple songs in the top 10! If I were to go out on a limb, I would say that Martina and Reba are the most likely to pull this off, based off of the historical reception of their songs, the memorability of their songs, and who is participating in this. And maybe Trisha as well. Lots of these songs blended together for me, as I imagine they did for other people who were not overly familiar with this year, but I think that each of their songs were popular enough to have been previously-known by people or else unique enough to have made an impression on first-time listeners, which I think will be the key to success in this rankdown. Artists like Alan Jackson, for example, have great music here of course, but I highly doubt a first-time listener is going to remember the difference between "There Goes," "Who's Cheatin' Who," and "Everything I Love" I would love to predict George Strait to have multiple in the top 10 as well, but I am a little worried that he will be negatively impacted by people like zaclord 🌈 who are not the biggest fan of '90s country...

1997 is one of my favourite years in country music (probably second to only 1998), so I knew every one of these songs going into this. Some though I probably hadn't heard since 1997, so I had to re-listen to a lot of them, but it'll be interesting for me to see how the lists of people who are hearing most of these songs for the first time match up to mine. Of course we all have different tastes, but I imagine how familiar you are with a song might impact its placement. I'm also interested to see how the competing versions of "How Do I Live" do - one is far, far superior imo, but that's just my opinion ;) ).

Which artist that has more than one song in the rankdown will lose all their songs first? I imagine someone like Rick Trevino will lose all of his songs first, for familiarity more than anything. If not him, maybe someone like Kevin Sharp. Since there are so many people going into these songs for the first time, I really don't know what to expect beyond that.
