We were all predicting that Closer could break One Sweet Day's record as well. This discussion will pop up every time a #1 song nears 10 weeks, and given the fact that happens more and more often, this discussion will also occur more often. We're still 7 weeks away from the record and that is almost two months, so it's lot of time.
"Passionfruit", "Paris" and "iSpy" are in top 10 this week (I bet they won't reveal almost anything outside top 10 in the stream or article AGAIN)

A Billboard writeup will still point out how rare 10 weeks at #1 is compared to all of history

"Shape of You" isn't budging at radio, though. It will need some big losses there and in streaming for those other two songs to have a real chance. It looks like it might be finally peaking on both HAC/Pop (its two biggest formats). Hopefully it'll start falling at a significant pace on both those formats soon. A second single isn't being pushed yet (which would likely fasten its descent), although "Castle On The Hill" is charting & climbing on both HAC/Pop. I just hope Bruno can manage a week at #1. Hopefully a discount for the song in a couple weeks time when its airplay is a bit higher.

-Something Just Like This could easily hit number 1 for a week when the Chainsmokers release their album. -What if Passionfruit were to become the next One Dance, it seems rather fitting considering that it's another big Drake dancehall song. Although like One Dance it really isn't very good and so I wonder if the public will make round 2 of One Dance a hit. However if Passionfruit doesn't hit number 1 then honestly Shape Of You could very well be coming for that 17 week mark. It'd be nonconsecutive but honestly that just makes it all the more impressive and really who cares?
Also interesting to see if Water Under The Bridge is lifted back into the top 50 after Drake's songs bleed away. It's 53 right now at exactly 20 weeks and so it could actually pull a Wiggle and despite not making gains drift back up above 50 because there's like 9 Drake songs between 51 and 30 that shouldn't be sticking around.

Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' Tops Hot 100 for 10th Week
By Gary Trust | April 03, 2017 2:00 PM EDT Ed Sheeran perfoms at Espaco das Americas on April 29, 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" leads the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated April 15) for a 10th week, joining an exclusive club of hits that have ruled for double-digit weeks in the chart's 58-year history.
Meanwhile, The Chainmokers match the longest streak of consecutive weeks in the Hot 100's top 10 among duos or groups, having ranked in the tier for 48 straight weeks.
As we do every Monday, let's run down the top 10 of the Hot 100, which blends sales, airplay and streaming data. All charts will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, April 4.
As it continues to command the Hot 100, Sheeran's "Shape," released on Atlantic Records, becomes just the 34th No. 1 to lead for at least 10 weeks dating to the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception; a mere 3 percent (34 of 1,061) of the Hot 100's all-time No. 1s have reached double-digit total weeks on top.
Among Atlantic singles specifically, "Shape" is the fifth to top the Hot 100 for 10 weeks or more. The one to beat with the longest stay: Brandy and Monica's 13-week No. 1 "The Boy Is Mine" in 1998.
Overall, "Shape" is the first title to top the Hot 100 for double-digit frames since The Chainsmokers' "Closer," featuring Halsey, which led for 12 weeks in 2016. Earlier in 2016, Drake's 10-week No. 1 "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla, became the last such smash among solo males prior to Sheeran's.
As it crowns the Hot 100 for a 10th week, "Shape" does the same on the Digital Song Sales chart (85,000 downloads sold, down 12 percent, in the week ending March 30, according to Nielsen Music), becoming just the 10th hit to total double-digit weeks atop the tally. It's the first since "Closer," which logged a record-tying 13 weeks at No. 1.
"Shape" adds an eighth week at No. 1 on Radio Songs (173 million in audience, up 1 percent, in the week ending April 2) and a fourth frame atop Streaming Songs (46.2 million U.S. streams, essentially even week-over-week, in the week ending March 30).
Impressively, "Shape" has topped the Hot 100 and its three main component charts (Digital Song Sales, Radio Songs and Streaming Songs) simultaneously for four weeks running. Since Streaming Songs launched in early 2013 (as the most-recently-added of the three lists), only two songs had previously led the trio of charts (as well as the Hot 100) for at least four straight weeks at the same time: "Closer" (six weeks, 2016) and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars (six, 2015).
Read more: Drake's 'More Life' Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200, Trey Songz Debuts at No. 3
Back to this week, with more Mars: his "That's What I Like" holds at its No. 2 high on the Hot 100. It pushes 3-2 on Radio Songs (119 million, up 15 percent), earning the Hot 100's top Airplay Gainer award for the fifth time in the last six weeks. The track keeps at No. 2 on Digital Song Sales (79,000, down 1 percent) and rises 6-3 on Streaming Songs (30.1 million, up 9 percent). "Like" notches a seventh week at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart and a third atop Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
And, more Chainsmokers: the twosome of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart zooms 7-3 on the Hot 100 with "Something Just Like This," its collab with Coldplay. The song passes its prior No. 5 high to tie for The Chainsmokers' second-highest-charting hit: before their 12-week No. 1 "Closer," "Don't Let Me Down," featuring Daya, reached No. 3 in July 2016. Coldplay has charted higher only with "Viva La Vida," its sole No. 1 in 2008.
"Something" stays at No. 4 on Digital Song Sales (59,000, down 1 percent) and surges 18-12 on Radio Songs (59 million, up 20 percent) and 25-15 on Streaming Songs (18.3 million, up 3 percent). It leads the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a fourth week.
Thanks to "Something," as well as the duo's No. 6-peaking "Paris," which rebounds 10-9, The Chainsmokers have now spent 48 consecutive weeks in the Hot 100's top 10, dating to May 21, 2016 (and encompassing four top 10s), tying Ace of Base's record streak among non-solo acts. Here's an update among all artists:
Most consecutive weeks in the Hot 100's top 10 69 weeks, Katy Perry, 2010-11 51 weeks, Drake, 2015-16 48 weeks, The Chainsmokers, 2016-17 48 weeks, Ace of Base, 1993-94 46 weeks, Rihanna, 2010-1

Rounding out the Hot 100's top five, The Weeknd's "I Feel It Coming," featuring Daft Punk, hits a new peak, rising 5-4, led by its identical 5-4 lift on Radio Songs (98 million, up 1 percent). Plus, KYLE returns to the top 10 at a new high, charging 12-5 with his debut hit "iSpy," featuring Lil Yachty; it had reached a prior No. 10 best rank two weeks ago. With its latest climb, Lil Yachty matches his highest Hot 100 placement, as he'd first ascended to a No. 5 high as featured on D.R.A.M.'s "Broccoli" in November. Streaming leads the way for "iSpy," which jumps 8-6 on Streaming Songs (26.9 million, up 14 percent). The track also continues to add airplay, as it rises 44-36 on Radio Songs (34 million, up 20 percent). Migos' "Bad and Boujee," featuring Lil Uzi Vert, drops 4-6 on the Hot 100, following three nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1, while topping the Hot Rap Songs chart for a 13th week; Zayn and Taylor Swift's "I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)" tumbles 3-7, after hitting No. 2; and Kodak Black's first Hot 100 top 10, "Tunnel Vision," dips to No. 8 from its No. 6 Hot 100 high. Closing out the Hot 100's top 10 (below The Chainsmokers' "Paris" at No. 9, as noted above), Drake's "Passionfruit" slips to No. 10 after debuting at No. 8 a week ago. Driven heavily by streaming, the track keeps at No. 4 on Streaming Songs (26.2 million, down 10 percent), as well as No. 1, for a second total week, on the audio subscription services-based On-Demand Streaming Songs chart (24.4 million on-demand U.S. streams, down 16 percent). The track stays at No. 22 on Digital Song Sales (25,000, down 7 percent) and gains by 118 percent to 13 million in airplay audience. As previously reported, parent album More Life spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, having earned 226,000 equivalent album units (down 55 percent) in the week ending March 30.
Find out more Hot 100 news in the weekly "Hot 100 Chart Moves" column later this week, and visit Billboard.com tomorrow (April 4), when all charts, including the Hot 100 in its entirety, will refresh. The Hot 100 and other charts will also appear in the next issue of Billboard magazine, on sale Friday (April 7).

Also they used to do both. They answered questions in the stream and revealed new songs in top 20 in the article and then they revealed more songs on Twitter.

They answered questions in the stream and revealed new songs in top 20 in the article and then they revealed more songs on Twitter. Same for me, but it's due to the new Twitter update. Before, if someone started a tweet with @account, unless you followed that person, you wouldn't see the tweet (why most people started with .@account). The other day Twitter added this new replying thing and when Gary removes the @ of the person who he is replying to, it now still counts as an actual reply so you can only see it if you a) follow the person or b) go onto their account and check their "tweets with replies"

Chart Watch: The Chainsmokers Tie Ace of Base's Record
Paul Grein Writer Yahoo MusicApril 3, 2017
INGLEWOOD, CA – MARCH 05: Musicians Drew Taggart (L) and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers perform onstage at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards which broadcast live on Turner’s TBS, TNT, and truTV at The Forum on March 5, 2017 in Inglewood, California. (Photo by Jonathan Leibson/Getty Images for iHeartMedia)
The Chainsmokers this week tie Ace of Base’s record for the longest continuous run in the top 10 on the Hot 100 by a group or duo — 48 weeks. At least one song by the Chainsmokers has appeared in the top 10 every week since May 18. Four songs contributed to this streak: “Don’t Let Me Down” (featuring Daya), “Closer” (featuring Halsey), “Paris” and “Something Just Like This,” a collabo with Coldplay.
Ace of Base was in the top 10 for 48 consecutive weeks, from Oct. 16, 1993 through Sept. 10, 1994. Three songs contributed to that streak: “All That She Wants,” “The Sign” and “Don’t Turn Around.”
Unfortunately, Ace of Base didn’t really live up to that early burst of success. They landed just one more top 10 hit, a 1998 remake of Bananarama’s “Cruel Summer.” They made their final appearance on the Hot 100 in November 1998. Ace of Base’s difficulty in living up to this burst of early success doesn’t mean the Chainsmokers are headed down the same road. But it does show that success is never guaranteed in pop music.
Two solo acts have had even longer continuous runs in the top 10 than these two groups have had. Katy Perry leads the pack with 69 continuous weeks in the top 10 in 2010-11. Drake is in second place, with 51 continuous weeks in 2015-16.
Top Songs
Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” this week becomes the fifth song by an English artist to log 10 or more weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It follows Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind 1997” (which spent 14 weeks on top in 1997-98), Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!” (featuring Bruno Mars, which spent 14 weeks on top in 2015), Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical,” which spent 10 weeks on top in 1981-82 and Adele’s “Hello,” which spent 10 weeks on top in 2015-16. (Newton-John was born in England, though her family moved to Australia when she was six.)
This is the longest run at No. 1 by any song since the Chainsmokers’ “Closer” (featuring Halsey) had 12 weeks on top last year.
“Shape of You” sold 85K copies this week, which enables it to hold at No. 1 on Top Digital Songs for the 10th week. That’s the longest run at No. 1 on that chart since “Closer” had 13 weeks on top. (This could be the song’s last week at No. 1 on the digital chart. It leads runner-up Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” by less than 6K units.)
“Shape of You” logs its 12th week at No. 1 on The Official U.K. Singles Chart. That’s the longest run since Drake’s “One Dance” (featuring Wizkid and Kyla) logged 15 weeks on top last year. It’s the longest run by a U.K. lead artist since Wet Wet Wet’s “Love Is All Around” had 15 weeks on top in 1994. Wet Wet Wet is from Scotland. Sheeran is from England. (I specify “lead artist” because Kyla is from the U.K.)
Sheeran’s 2015 smash “Thinking Out Loud” spent eight straight weeks at No. 2 on the Hot 100, but never reached No. 1. It got stuck behind a monster hit, the aforementioned “Uptown Funk!,” which featured Mars. Turnabout is fair play. This time around, Sheeran has the monster No. 1 hit and Mars is playing second fiddle. Mars’ “That’s What I Like” holds at No. 2 for the third week. Unless it moves up a notch, it will become Mars’ first single to peak at No. 2. (The song holds at No. 1 for the third week on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.)
“Something Just Like This” by the Chainsmokers and Coldplay jumps from No. 7 to No. 3 in its sixth week. The Weeknd’s “I Feel It Coming” (featuring Daft Punk) jumps from No. 5 to No. 4 in its 19th week.
Lil Yachty lands his second top five hit as KYLE’s “iSpy,” on which he is featured, rebounds from No. 12 to No. 5 in its 14th week. Lil Yachty first cracked the top five as the featured artist on D.R.A.M.’s “Broccoli” in November. Migos’ “Bad and Boujee” (featuring Lil Uzi Vert) drops from No. 4 to No. 6 in its 20th week. The song logged three weeks at No. 1.
The Zayn/Taylor Swift collabo “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)” drops from No. 3 to No. 7 in its 16th week. It peaked at No. 2. This is the song’s 12th consecutive week in the top 10. By contrast, Fifty Shades Darker spent just five weekends in the top 10 at the box-office. “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” is far from the first song to become much bigger than the movie that spawned it.
Kodak Black’s “Tunnel Vision” drops from its No. 6 peak to No. 8 in its sixth week. Deep trivia: While this is the first time an act whose name includes the word “Kodak” has had a top 10 hit, Paul Simon scored in 1973 with a song that shared its title with a Eastman Kodak brand name. “Kodachrome” reached No. 2 in July 1973.
The Chainsmokers’ other current hit, “Paris,” inches up from No. 10 to No. 9 in its 11th week. The song has climbed as high as No. 6. Drake’s “Passionfruit” drops from No. 8 to No. 10 in its second week. Drake’s other big hit, “Portland” (featuring Quavo and Travis Scott), which debuted at No. 9 last week, drops out of the top 10.
Top Albums
Drake’s More Life tops The Billboard 200 for the second week. Right before Drake debuted, Ed Sheeran’s ÷ spent its first two weeks at No. 1. This marks the first time that back-to-back albums have each spent their first two weeks at No. 1 since late 2010, when Taylor Swift’s Speak Now and Susan Boyle’s The Gift achieved the feat.
÷ holds at No. 2 in its fourth week. It logs its fourth week at No. 1 on The Official U.K. Albums Chart.
Trey Songz lands his fifth consecutive top five album as Tremaine the Album debuts at No. 3. (Tremaine is indeed his first name.) Trey Songz’s previous album, Trigga, bumped Sheeran’s previous album, x, out of the top spot in July 2014.
The soundtrack to the live-action reboot of Disney’s 1991 animated classic Beauty and the Beast holds at No. 4 in its third week, after debuting at No. 3. The album is No. 1 on Top Soundtracks for the third week. This surpasses the showing of the soundtrack from the original Beauty and the Beast, which was the highest-ranking soundtrack on The Billboard 200 for two weeks in early 1992. The reboot, which stars Emma Watson, dips to No. 2 at the box-office after spending its first two weekends on top. The original animated film peaked at No. 2 at the box-office.
Metallica’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct rebounds from No. 19 to No. 5 in its 19th week. The album debuted at No. 1 in December. Its revival in the past four weeks is due to a concert/ticket bundle. The album sold more copies in traditional album sales than any other album this week, but fell behind these four other albums when streaming and digital track sales were factored in. Hardwired experienced a similar fate two weeks ago, when, despite being the best-seller in traditional album sales, it ranked No. 2 on The Billboard 200 behind Sheeran’s album. This is the first time an album has been aced out of a No. 1 ranking twice because of the change in chart methodology in December 2014. This is also the first time that the week’s best-selling album in traditional sales has ranked as low as No. 5 on The Billboard 200.
Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic holds at No. 6 in its 19th week. The album has never ranked lower than No. 7. It logged four weeks at No. 2.
The Moana soundtrack holds at No. 7 in its 19th week. The album peaked at No. 2.
Rick Ross’ Rather You than Me drops from No. 3 to No. 8 in its second week.
Future’s Future dips from No. 8 to No. 9 in its sixth week. The album debuted at No. 1.
The Weeknd’s Starboy dips from No. 9 to No. 10 in its 18th week. The album spent five non-consecutive weeks at No. 1.
Two albums drop out of the top 10 this week. Depeche Mode’s Spirit plummets from No. 5 to No. 94. Migos’ Culture dips from No. 10 to No. 11.
RaeLynn’s WildHorse debuts at No. 20. It enters Top Country Albums at No. 1, displacing Keith Urban’s Ripcord. RaeLynn, who was a contestant on Season 2 of The Voice, is the seventh artist who goes by just one name to reach No. 1 on the country album chart. She follows Wynonna, Larry the Cable Guy, Jewel and three duos—Waylon & Willie, Dan + Shay and Joey + Rory.
Paul McCartney’s 1989 album Flowers in the Dirt re-enters the chart at No. 33. This nearly equals its peak position (No. 21) when it was first released. McCartney co-wrote four of the songs on the album with Elvis Costello, including the hit “My Brave Face.” The album enters Top Catalog Albums at No. 1, displacing Chuck Berry’s 2005 compilation The Definitive Collection.
Coming Attractions: Look for Bob Dylan’s Triplicate, Nelly Furtado’s The Ride and Mastodon’sEmperor of Sand to be next week’s top new entries.

"Shape of You" isn't budging at radio, though. It will need some big losses there and in streaming for those other two songs to have a real chance. It looks like it might be finally peaking on both HAC/Pop (its two biggest formats). No, it's doing at Hot AC what it did at Top 40 in the past couple of weeks; it hit a peak and fell a bit, but it's now increasing again because the format wasn't done. It's also staying stagnant at Top 40, so who knows when it will actually start to fall.

Water Under the Bridge survives at #46 for its 21st week ;) but it's likely out next week
Looks like How Far I'll Go will make it to 20 weeks

Maybe Goosebumps would be back if they didn't decide that the video should be Apple Music exclusive..........

People think Water Under The Bridge will be out next week, which I don't believe. Despite sales and streaming being non-existent, airplay is really good. So it should be on the Hot 100 for a few more weeks. It's at 46. A No. 26 peaking song is not gonna fall from 46. Most songs that peak under the Top 10 fall out in the mid-80's. A No. 46 fall is reserved for a high peaking song like Closer.
Whether it falls out next week or not, I'm happy for how long the song has held on. I should be mad that it didn't reach the Top 20, but I'm not. The song clocked 21 weeks on the chart so far, a Top 30 peak on the Hot 100, and a Top 10 peak on airplay. That's good enough for me. Let's just hope it can sustain a spot on the YE list.

Well, maybe it can go up a bit. Probably not. But whatever I guess. *sigh*.

The points for 7-18 are really close.. That happens when SOY takes all the points.

Am I allowed to copy and paste my thoughts from my own blog here? If so, I'll add them to this and I'm sorry if I'm not allowed to create this or something as I'm new here.
