Is this starting today or tomorrow? If I can get these images to act right, it will start in a few hours. I had two ideas on how I wanted to present this and I'm trying to figure out which way would be easiest for me to work with.

Ahhhh I finally have everything ready! However, it's already past or near midnight depending on where you are so I presume most people are in bed. I will hold off until tomorrow afternoon to post #35-31. In the meantime: 1. Which songs do you expect to be in the bottom five? 2. Which songs do you expect to see in the top five? 3. What songs do you expect to have the highest standard deviation - i.e., have the most polarizing results? (five songs have a standard deviation over 10; the lowest standard deviation is a 6.624)

1. Hello, I Will Always Love You, and We Belong Together all seem to me like they'd be Top 5 or close to it. 2. You Light Up My Life because it's old and probably unfamiliar to a lot of people playing this. Also can see Boom Boom Pow, Happy, and See You Again ranking near the bottom. 3. Probably something like Closer or One Dance will have the highest SD, I'm guessing.

I can see Blurred lines, Closer & Yeah! having a high SD.

1. Which songs do you expect to be in the bottom five? I reckon The Debbster will definitely be amongst them, as I can't see too many people ranking that song too highly. Olivia may be amongst the bottom too, unless they've had that song playing whilst in the throes of passion, in which case nostalgia may take over. Other than that, Los Del Rio & Elton John songs may struggle a bit, but may well be barking up the wrong tree!
2. Which songs do you expect to see in the top five? The newer stuff, sadly, as most people will be familiar with those. I expect Ed will be up there near the top along with "I gotta feeling (sic)", "we found love", "Hello" & "Irreplaceable".
3. What songs do you expect to have the highest standard deviation - i.e., have the most polarizing results? (five songs have a standard deviation over 10; the lowest standard deviation is a 6.624) The newer stuff I am thinking. Robin (oh, how you shame the great Thicke name) Thicke, Drake & anything The Chainsmokers touch.

1. Which songs do you expect to be in the bottom five? I'm going to guess the older songs and/or maybe Macarena and Boom Boom Pow. 2. Which songs do you expect to see in the top five? We Belong Together, Yeah and The Boy Is Mine among them. 3. What songs do you expect to have the highest standard deviation - i.e., have the most polarizing results? (five songs have a standard deviation over 10; the lowest standard deviation is a 6.624) I Gotta Feeling, maybe One Sweet Day? And the newer songs of the bunch, like Closer and maybe Blurred Lines.

I don't think that closer will have that high of an sd since I ranked it around the middle but who knows.

^My definition of 'afternoon' is very loose #CPT Rankdown points, medians, and standard deviations will be revealed five songs at a time, at the end of each day's reveal. Points were calculated using an inverse point system (#1 rank = 35 points, #35 rank = 1 point). Let's get this road on the show!

Didja know?- You Light Up My Life is the first song to spend double-digit weeks at the top of the Hot 100. Unfortunately, it's also the first to leave this rankdown chart. It is the only song in the rankdown to not get a single top ten ranking from anyone; every other song got at least two top 10s and one top 5. It has the most last-place rankings and the lowest standard deviation of any song - it might have shined during its run, but it seems we're all pretty much in agreement here that this piece of schmaltz doesn't light up much of anything these days. - YLUML was originally recorded by a jingle singer named Kasey Cisyk for a movie of the same title. The songwriter/movie director, Joseph Brooks, was apparently the original Dr. Luke - he was a massive douchebag who Cisyk had to sue to get credit and payment for her work (though Cisyk refused to tell her side of the story, her husband claimed it was because she rebuffed Brooks' advances...in 2009 he was indicted for 91 charges of rape, assault, and other related sex crimes and killed himself while awaiting trial). Brooks spent a year looking for a studio that would release the movie. When he finally found one, he chose to have Debby re-record the song instead of using Cisyk's original version. When Boone's version became a success, it in turn boosted the movie's performance. - Debby said when she was recording the song that Brooks demanded she sing it exactly like the original (so that there was no discernible difference between the two) and was so mean to her in the studio that she was reduced to tears. Later, when asked who she was singing about, the very religious Debby replied, "God." Brooks took exception to this as he viewed it as a love song to another person, and never asked her to sing anything else. They did perform this together once in 1990, though. - Debby's father is Pat Boone, a popular '50s singer. - YLUPML is not the only debut single for a lead artist in this rankdown, nor is it the only one-hit wonder; but it is the only song to be both of those things.

Loving the graphics (so bright!) + song information. No major surprise The Debbster is out so soon. I reckon it would be an unknown song for several people. As long as Olivia makes it to #1, I'll be 'appy ;)

Didja know? - Something About the Way You Look Tonight was a double-A side along with Elton's Candle in the Wind 1997 and also served as the lead single for his album The Big Picture. - While Candle in the Wind was undoubtedly the leader of the show on the Hot 100, where the two songs charted together Something was by far the bigger hit on AC. The two songs charted separately there and Something spent 10 weeks at #1; CITW peaked at #2. - Elton John finds videos "loathsome" and refuses to be in any of them except for brief cameos. This video features supermodels Kate Moss and Sophie Dahl, and several actors and actresses from the UK show This Life.
