Camila really doesn't have the presence to go solo in the fashion she did. Imma be mad if she finds success while Nicole never got her proper due.
Her vocals weren't the best. She can't dance. Very awkward body language in spots that weren't choreographed. And worst of all, it wasn't memorable.
Because I hate it, it will be successful.

Okay folks. Disco is in the house. Is this thing on? Because I have to say something. Nicki's opening medley was hot. She was looking fucking sexy in that bodysuit. I love that 50 Shades-esque mask she put on during "Swalla". Speaking of "Swalla", Jason DeRulo sounded really rough. I know that he might be able to hit certain notes in the studio and in certain live performances but he just couldn't get it. Don't sing outside your range. It's not a good look. Why did Lil Wayne take off only half of his coat? #QuestionsExisting Ludacris and Vanessa Hudgens were pretty good as hosts. I like Vanessa's last outfit in the silver with the headpiece the most. I know I have shaded the hell out of Camila Cabello because of well, obvious reasons. But I did like her performance of "Crying In The Club." I loved the staging and the dancers. She did seem a little nervous and her voice was a little shaky at the beginning but she got it. She did that. I liked the song The Chainsmokers performed but I really wish that they would get someone who could actually sing properly to perform it. I wouldn't mind hearing the Imagine Dragons' lead singer, Ryan Tedder, or even Chris Martin of Coldplay to do it instead. They should stick to featuring mediocre artists like Bebe Rexha or Daya until that happens. Julia Michaels was pleasant as was Ed Sheeran. I wish he had done "Galway Girl" instead. Miley Cyrus really brought it. I loved how simple the performance was. I love her little Joanne cosplay. Lorde's performance was fun. I am gutted that the song didn't do well on the chart. Not a fan of Sam Hunt, but I wouldn't kick him out of my bed or the local hotel, motel, Holiday Inn. Celine Dion was AMAZING! She was brilliant. I love the staging with the glass curtain. I also love that she did both verses because most of the time she does only the first verse and the big finish. No to Imagine Dragons' performance. Just no. Take off your shirt and dance provocatively next time with the mic turned off. Thanks. I wanted Drake to do "Passionfruit" instead. Nice idea with the fountains though. I wish he had gotten wet. I didn't. :kii: Halsey was pleasant. But what was that "outfit" she wore before the performance? Is she taking fashion pointers from Sue Ellen Mishke? Why were you wearing an ill fitting bra as a top? John Legend was nice. FGL ruined it. I would so have a threesome with FGL though. John could watch and provide sexytime music. Cher is a LEGEND! I was glad that she did "Believe". I was disappointed for a moment that it was over but then after the montage she did "If I Could Turn Back Time" WITH THE KEY CHANGE! I love it. Bruno Mars was pretty good as well. That song is so pretty. Overall, this was a pretty decent BBMAs. I was thoroughly entertained.

Thanks Disco, for affirming why I chose not to watch. Thanks for filling me in and adding to the bs that was the BBMA's this year.

Turn Back time! Will she get sh*t for what shes wearing as others do? :) Cher dressing risque is different than most female artists that dress that way. For one she's 71. I doubt she's thinking this is going to get the boys fired up, girls watch your men. She's also not slapping her crotch and talking about sex and using language that has to be bleeped out. Cher has actual talent that COULD stand on it's own where a lot of these girls out there dressing like that don't. They need that extra skin showing a lot of the times. Cher doesn't...

The show wasn't bad last night besides for the echoing soundsystem or whatever was going on. I didn't know what was going on with Celine. I know she was singing but it sounded artificial. She still did her classy thing.
Cher looked great. I'm so happy she sang "If i Could Turn Back Time" as well as "Believe".
Nicki opening the show with a bunch of underperforming singles was pretty good. Her stage presence was pretty good and didn't feel like she was being eaten up by the production. I didn't mind she decided to skip out lyrics instead of them blocking them out because that usually takes up half the song. Kudos to her sound people. I could hear her perfectly. I'm not sure if I would have ended with "Regret Your Tears" because it kind of brought the energy down. Maybe she should have brought out Derulo last????? He was great as always.
The Chainsmokers were ok.
Halsley was pretty good. She kept my interest with a song that may not be the best in a live setting.
Miley was good it felt like there was a "star" on stage. The song isn't my thing but she did well. I could have done w/out the tears and her sister's introduction.
Camila was pretty good. At least she can sing. Even if you don't care for the tone of her voice. She held her own and did not get lost in the big production.. Her dancing isn't that bad, she can move but during the dance break the dance steps were all wrong for her. It wasn't awful though. Again at least she was singing live and could be heard for the most part.
Drake was ok. I liked his fire/water show. I'm not a huge fan or straight rap performances but at least he was audible.
Lorde was good. Cute performance. It was original and entertaining. She's talented even if she's not usually my thing. Made me like the song more.
Ed Sheeran was good but not for me. I'm not much of a fan of that song. However I did like it better in a live setting. His talent still shines through.
Sam Hunt was good for what it was.
Bruno Mars was Great as to be expected. Talent, charisma, he has it all. He deserves all the success he receives. His vision of himself as an entertainer does not seem fake. He is a star.
Julia Michaels was good. I still LOVE this song. However the hiccup in her voice I'm assuming may drive some people nuts. lol She's very cute. I wanted to give her hug. I hope she's a sweet person.
About the winners. They were all pretty expected if you visit this board often enough. lol Cute show. I was pretty entertained. I didn't think the WHOLE time, "I'm getting old I guess I just don't get it". "Where is the talent"......lol

I think the 'nostalgia' acts (Cher and Celine) stole the show. Sam Hunt, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars and Miley Cyrus were pretty good too.

Cher and Celine were most certainly the highlights. Miley was also entertaining. I normally can't stand that Julia Michaels song but hearing it live was much better. Did I watch the same Lorde performance as everyone else? Sure the set-up was clever but I thought she sounded awful and looked awkward, even for her.

Cher and Céline absolutely stole the show. The newbies had literally nothing to offer in comparison.

Cher slayed hunty! Just seen the performances today and watched only her and Celine. To think she is 70 and still serving for the gawds. Celine in that white dress looked magical, that playback was magical too. We all know Celine can sing so don't need her to prove it. Seeing both of these icons on stage just upstage all of today's talent with their mere presence was iconic.

She served all of it AND still found time to be humble in her acceptance speech. That's a Queen, Legend and True star. Oh my goodness Celine looked stunning head to toe. That performance was such a nice visual overall. I knew I should have done what you did and just watched those performances after because I did feel like I wanted my money back otherwise and I didn't even pay.

Nicki should be a full-time burlesque dancer. The girl who sings on Light My Body Up apparently couldn't afford a flight to Vegas and Nicki was too tired to attempt to lipsync it half the time anyway but it didn't matter. Her dancing, floor humping, and whatever other stripper moves she was doing were so hot that should could have been reciting the ABCs. It's not like David Guetta actually does anything on stage than cue playlists so I don't know why he couldn't be bothered to even glance at the hotness that was in front of him but maybe he is gay? Camille is a little girl and should probably see what happens to her voice in 10 years or else she can just do voiceover work for Telemundo cartoons. Ed Sheehan sounded more strained than usual and that was probably my least favorite performance he has ever done but it was OK. Drake was a clown anytime he was on the stage or in the fountain. What a waste of a performance slot. I never want to hear FGL with JL again but it actually could have been worse. It could have been Predator DeRulo. Cher and Celine. What can you really say about legit living legends who really only have to show up and smile and wave to the children but they are kind enough to get on the stage and put on a production. Everyone knew they were blessed to witness that. Miley was good but predictable, as she kinda always has been with her live performances. That about covers it.

Stop projecting your standards! Bad vocals, inability to dance, wallpaper personality and zero talent is all the rage! You need these qualities to qualify! All the girl is missing is a good storyline and she will be golden.
