It's falling in sales, though, and we're only 2 days into the sales week. "SOY" will likely pass "HUMBLE" back in sales in the next day or two, so their sales totals may be even at the end of the week. "SOY" will obviously be way ahead in airplay. So, "HUMBLE" needs to hold this huge streaming lead to have a chance at #1.

This is one of the more turbulent weekend's I remember recently at iTunes. First Something Just Like This was at #1, Humble took, then That's What I Like and now The Cure, just when Stay was about to get to #1. Then we have the re-listed Sign of the Times returning to the Top 10, but I guess that was expected after his performance at SNL.

So I hit up Spotify, wondering how certain songs are doing there right about now. And in the US Charts, I see the Top 10. And...

My jaw just hit the floor looking at Kendrick's numbers. Don't believe me? Here you go:

HUMBLE.: 3.52 million
DNA.: 3 million
ELEMENT.: 2.19 million
LOYALTY. featuring Rihanna: 2.065 million
YAH.: 1.83 million
LOVE. featuring Zacari: 1.72 million
XXX. featuring U2: 1.717 million
FEEL.: 1.705 million
PRIDE.: 1.635 million

And mind you, that's just the Top 10! The other four songs have at least 1 million streams going for them, most a lot more. Furthermore, so does every single song in that Top 20 at the moment - the non-Kendrick ones being Mask Off, XO Tour Llif3, iSpy, Passionfruit, That's What I Like, and Shape Of You.

There is no streaming info for it yet, but given that it has a shortened week to begin with, and is already declining on iTunes, a top 10 debut is extremely unlikely.

Edit: Green again on iTunes, but the first day streaming was extremely poor (#116 Spotify). Best case scenario is probably a top 30 debut, but with Kendrick it may be lower.

Not to mention it only appears in Spotify at #116 yesterday. If it manages to debut next week in the Top 10 it would be mostly sales, although in the case of radio I would think it would have until next Sunday to get some plays. I would guess a Top 15 debut is probably more likely, unless it keeps its #1 in iTunes with a healthy lead, which it probably won't.

Regarding Kendrick's album track, I think DNA would be the only new song that could debut in the Top 10, even though its sales and streaming have already fallen quite a bit.

It was a Sunday though - and Easter no less - so I was actually surprised to see it get the few spins it got yesterday.  I think today might be a better gauge of radio's initial interest. I suspect it'll get some decent spins - maybe even some kind of deal was arranged.
