I'd like to use the Power of Veto, Au$tin, to remove Sk8er Boi from the top 10 and replace it with Fall To Pieces or pretty much anything from the teens really.

Also, congratulations to Juan Carlos for having the most remaining songs in their top ten as we enter the top ten with 9/10 of his songs remaining! Yay! Definitely surprised to see "Losing Grip" still in here. It did absolutely nothing for me upon first listen, unlike the rest of the singles from her debut. Otherwise, there's not really a bad song left!

15. Rock N Rollvery surprised here? Not only the song, but the MV was one of my favorites of that year. Sometimes I'm surprised other members rank this Rock N Rolla jams higher than me. 14. GirlfriendI actually like this song. Which means Avril has a lot of great songs. 13. Here's To never never Growing Up.So I lose My #1 early in these rankings. What else is new? Easily my favorite Avril song ever, and my favorite Anthem too. Which basically means ; I wish I was still in the 80's 12. SmileSo I lose my #2 song. I don't ever do great on these rankdowns, but I'm consistent with my taste in music. This was An Amazing pop rock song with all the right elements of a Pop Punk song. I always loved the rebellious side of Pop music and Avril knew how to hit that spot. 11. What The HellThis song went to #4 on my personal music chart, and It still missed my top 10 Avril Lavigne songs. Just imagine how many times she has had #1 songs on my chart? ;)

Surprised at the love that Smile received. It was in that fluctuating zone for me, but I really dislike the verses, so it ended up in my #18, behind GYWYL, RNR, TMA, Hot. Not surprised at Losing Grip being a Top 10. I thought I was going to rank it higher, as I remember liking it several years ago, but this time it didn't really click, and ranked it at #20. VERY sad at how Girlfriend ended up outside the top 10. It's as catchy as you can get. I like this type of Avril songs where she doesn't take herself too seriously. I knew I was gonna rank it to high for Pulse, but I honestly couldn't rank it outside my top 5 even though I tried!! WTH was also in my top 10, but at #9, so no complaints there. So right now my lowest ranking remaining songs are: #20 Losing Grip and #13 Don't Tell Me. Hope they come out soon

15. Rock N Roll - Jam. Should be happy with Top 15 though. 14. Girlfried - JAM?! How could you do this to iconic piece of music. 13. HTNGU - I liked it more when listening to it for this rankdown. Still - too high. 12. Smile - waay too high 11. What the hell - I'm ok with this missing the Top 10. Yay at Don't tell me and Losing Grip making the Top 10 !

WTH about WTH missing out on Top 5 let alone top 10. The rest of this rankdown has been acceptable.

WTH missing top 10 doesn't begin to make up for the injustice inflicted on 'Fall To Pieces'. #NEXT

Falling Fast is one of her top songs, and should have led the last record. It's an unexpected, beautiful performance. When I'm trying to impress listeners on what "Avril Lavigne" is, that's what I play and they love it, and comment "yes, this is great but she has done some annoying stuff". She has the voice and writing ability. Just let her do her thing BMG, don't interpret her radio history as commerciable potential, and let her soar.

Maybe I'm drunk/stoned but:
"It doesn't matter what we do/cause you make everything seem better/ I never knew I needed you/ like a sad song needs a sea of lighters". Is absolutely simplistic/ beautiful. That's what Avril is to me

13. Here's to Never Growing UpAVG: 14.82857143 MED: 14 STD: 7.131065898 FINAL SCORE: 10.30266803
Album: Avril Lavigne Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Martin Johnson, Chad Kroeger, David Hodges, Jacob Kasher Producers: Martin Johnson"Here's to Never Growing Up" is the lead single from Avril's self-titled fifth album. Upon release, it was Avril's first single in nearly a year and a half. Released in part to capitalize on graduation season, the track is all about the celebration of youth. So much so, in fact, that the music video gives HUGE references to Avril's debut era (which was 11 years prior to HTNGU). Most prevalent are the references to her music video for "Complicated," in which Avril even wear nearly identical outfits in both music videos. The track received mixed reviews, some praising it for being different than the dance pop trend of that era and others saying it wasn't anything new from Avril, but in indulged itself in that aspect, making it at least fun. Others negatively said it was too childish and immature and even compared it to tracks from her contemporaries that did the lyrical meaning or sound of the song better, such as fun.'s "We Are Young," Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," Ke$ha's "Die Young," and P!nk's "Raise Your Glass." The track had moderate success, peaking at number one in Japan, Poland, and Taiwan and scoring top ten in seven other countries. In the US, it went platinum and peaked at number 20, making it her first song to do so in three years after "What the Hell" and second song since "Girlfriend." So far, it's her last song to meet that mark. #01 Doc Indie Party Rock#02 @walker9 #06 toomuchboy#07 Libra#08 Sambalada#08 .indulgecountry#08 james518#08 rgreen0625#10 castleoblivion26#11 nick64#11 ry4n#12 Juanca#12 Snowbeast#13 born#13 zaclord ๐#13 Au$tin#14 austin#14 Kanenrรก:ke#14 โ ealsรผnset#14 YotamTS#15 Leo โ#16 Choco#18 JOJO SIWA DERANGEMENT SYNDROME#18 Normi#18 @quirkyfarang #18 Devil Marlena Nylund#19 alexcuse#20 bboat11#20 CF15#22 Juan Carlos#24 Az Paynter#24 bat1990#28 Leaf#30 aerodynamite#30 @mirza {Songs Remaining}Complicated Don't Tell Me I'm with You Keep Holding On Losing Grip My Happy Ending Nobody's Home Sk8er Boi Smile What the Hell When You're Gone Wish You Were Here This means JOJO SIWA DERANGEMENT SYNDROME is both the first person to lose thier number one and last person to lose their number 30! Lol the watered down Were Never Getting Back Together instrumental/We Are Younf trend lyrics should have been bottom 20. In her opinion, the self titled record was complete without Here's To Never Growing Up, Rock N Roll, 17, Bitchin Summer, & Sippin On Sunshine. She made a dark, accoustic, rock influenced album. But when L.A Reid played potential singles for radio programmers : "Hello Heartache (supposed to be 1st), Hush Hush (supposed to be 2nd), Bad Girl (rock formats), and Give You What You Like to adult AC/Pop, they didn't hear ANY potential. He sent her into the studio (against his intuition, but a business decision) to have her record watered down Taylor Swift tracks with explicit lyrics (F bomb here and there to be "Avril"). I wish we got the intended album, Avril doesn't get hits anymore. Her name alone will open decently (Top 5) with a good song. I pray BMG doesn't try to steer her to what's "popular". The reason she originally took off is because she WASNT what was popular and on the radio. Just sit her down with a guitar and let her sell some records based on the singer/songwriter persona. Her singles have killed her GP respect/opinion and it kills me.

10) Nobody's Home 9) Wish You Were Here 8) Losing Grip 7) Keep Holding On 6) Don't Tell Me 5) Sk8er Boi 4) When You're Gone 3) My Happy Ending 2) Complicated 1) I'm With You
I'm not too sure about how the top 10 will play out, but I think it is pretty much guaranteed that "I'm With You" and "Complicated" are going to be in the top 5, and probably fighting it out in the top 2. "When You're Gone" and "Keep Holding On" are the two big wild cards that could place anywhere in the top 10 and it would not surprise me one bit. I still think "Sk8er Boi" will make the top 5, but it is probably going to get enough hate to not be much of a competitor past that.

I don't think Complicated will win. I think Sk8er boi will be out soon. (10-8) I think Keep Holding On will fail to make Top 5 due to it not being as well known as some of the others.
I can see I'm With You winning, but there's bound to be someone who has ranked it quite lowly.

I'm fearful though that it could be Don't Tell Me, Losing Grip, or Nobodys Home <3

10. Losing GripAVG: 12.65714286 MED: 11 STD: 8.138300361 FINAL SCORE: 8.40413305
Album: Let Go Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Clif Magness Producers: Clif Magness"Losing Grip" was the fourth single from Avril's debut album Let Go. The track is about coming to terms with the fact that you and your significant other are not working out. Christina Saraceno of AllMusic praised the song claiming that the chorus shows off Avril's vocal abilities and that the track has an "explosive rock chorus." Sal Cinquemani of Slant magazine also praised Lavigne's vocals and compared them to Alanis Morissette. It followed three massive singles, so when this one ended up only doing decently, it was seen as a huge disappointment, and a large part of that could be that this track is much darker than the three previous singles. The track also has elements of grunge that were not present in the first three singles. It did earn her a Grammy nomination, though! "Losing Grip" was nominated for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 2004, but lost to "Trouble" by P!nk. The track was a top ten hit in Belgium and the Netherlands, but only made it to number 64 on the Hot 100 (after three top tens). It has been certified gold by the RIAA, though. Fun fact, in a 2011 AOL Radio poll, "Losing Grip" was ranked as Avril's tenth best song, and it places at number ten here! #01 aerodynamite#03 Normi#05 alexcuse#05 bat1990#05 nick64#05 .indulgecountry#05 Juan Carlos#05 @mirza #05 YotamTS#06 @quirkyfarang #06 Devil Marlena Nylund#07 Choco#07 james518#07 Kanenrรก:ke#08 Az Paynter#09 Libra#10 rgreen0625#11 Doc Indie Party Rock#11 Sambalada#13 ry4n#13 Leaf#14 JOJO SIWA DERANGEMENT SYNDROME#14 Leo โ#14 Snowbeast#15 castleoblivion26#20 Juanca#20 zaclord ๐#20 Au$tin#22 bboat11#23 @walker9 #24 CF15#27 austin#27 born#27 โ ealsรผnset#29 toomuchboy{Songs Remaining}Complicated Don't Tell Me I'm with You Keep Holding On My Happy Ending Nobody's Home Sk8er Boi When You're Gone Wish You Were Here

DAMMIT Losing Grip is such a JAM, too bad it never got to be the major chart hit like Complicated I literally love the whole melody, lyricism, and just everything about this
How could any ever put such a stellar song so low on there ranking? I am happy it made top ten though :kii:

After the album wound down, I prefer hearing Losing Grip over any of the three singles - mainly due to overplay but even now, I still love it most.

09. Don't Tell MeAVG: 12.28571429 MED: 10 STD: 6.382749862 FINAL SCORE: 8.070181735
Album: Under My Skin Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Evan Taubenfeld Producers: Butch Walker"Don't Tell Me" was the lead single from Avril's second album, Under My Skin. According to an interview with MTV, Avril said this was was "about being strong. There are a lot of guys out there who just want to take you out to dinner and then, like basically go home and 'unhh' you. That's what a lot of guys are like and I just think girls need to be strong and not let any guy pressure them into doing anything. When I was writing "Don't Tell Me", I was just, kind of, thinking about what it was like being a girl, and I was seventeen when I wrote that song, so that was all, like, fresh on my mind. I was just coming out of high school, and there's a lot of pressure for girls these days, and I'm happy to have that song, to be able to sing it up on stage every night, and to introduce it with, you know, by telling the audience that this song is all about being strong, and this goes out to all the girls, and it feels good to be able to do that." The track has received decent reviews, some praising it for its meaning and grunge sound, while others criticized it for its choppy lyric structure. The song was not the huge hit the first three Let Go singles were, but it also wasn't the disappointment "Losing Grip" was either. The track peaked at number 22 on the Hot 100 and went top ten in over thirteen countries, including a top five placement in both the UK and Canada. It has been certified gold by the RIAA and the ARIA. Most impressively, though, was its hit status in Japan. The track landed at number one on the 2004 year-end chart for Japan! It was the start of Avril's superstardom in Asia. So, you remember that AOL poll I talked about during "Losing Grip"? Guess what placed ninth? Yup, this! You guys are 2/2 on that thing. Actually, 9/10 of the songs in that list are also top ten here. The only difference is "Wish You Were Here" makes our top ten while "Girlfriend" rocked the AOL list. #02 Devil Marlena Nylund#04 austin#04 @mirza #04 @quirkyfarang #06 Juan Carlos#07 aerodynamite#07 JOJO SIWA DERANGEMENT SYNDROME#07 Au$tin#08 Leo โ#08 zaclord ๐#09 alexcuse#09 Choco#09 Sambalada#09 james518#09 Leaf#09 Normi#10 born#10 Libra#10 โ ealsรผnset#12 rgreen0625#13 Juanca#13 Snowbeast#14 Doc Indie Party Rock#14 @walker9 #15 toomuchboy#16 bboat11#18 Kanenrรก:ke#19 CF15#19 .indulgecountry#20 nick64#20 ry4n#22 bat1990#23 castleoblivion26#24 YotamTS#27 Az Paynter{Songs Remaining}Complicated I'm with You Keep Holding On My Happy Ending Nobody's Home Sk8er Boi When You're Gone Wish You Were Here

I was hoping Losing Grip would stay a little longer, but I'll definitely take it after thinking it can place in the bottom 5. And lol at the amount of #5 rankings on it.
Also nice to see that Don't Tell Me is out, it's a decent song but it was my lowest rank in the Top 10 iirc.

08. Sk8er BoiAVG: 11.54285714 MED: 11 STD: 7.076651157 FINAL SCORE: 8.057991906
Album: Let Go Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Lauren Christy, Scott Spock, Graham Edwards Producers: The Matrix"Sk8er Boi" was the second single from Avril's deubt album, Let Go. It's a power pop punk track and tells a story told from the singer's viewpoint about her rocker boyfriend and a girl he knew in high school who rejected him because he was a skateboarder and she was a snob. The track has received critical praise despite the odd premise. Many call is "clever" and "funny" and it even received a Grammy nominated for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance at the 2003 awards, but lost to "Steve McQueen" by Sheryl Crow. (Sadly, this award hasn't been presented since "Losing Grip" lost in 2004.) The song has become a staple in Avril's discography, usually referenced as one of her signature songs. Avril has performed it as part of every setlist while touring. The track was a product of a song-writing stint set up by L.A. Reid between Avril and The Matrix. The first track they wrote was "Complicated," and after Reid approved of it, he sent Avril back in to work with the production trio, pleased with the results. Just in time too! Avril was close to being dropped by her label before even getting the chance to debut her first LP. Ten songs were written during this stint, and five of them made the album (this, "Complicated," "I'm with You," "Anything but Ordinary," and "Things I'll Never Say"). In fact, after "Complicated"'s massive success, this was quickly selected as the second single, but not without controversy with part of her team. According to L.A. Reid: "Some people just really didn't get [Sk8er Boi]. And with the first video [Complicated], there was some concern that maybe because it's so young and so playful, it might alienate more serious music lovers." Despite it being a controversial choice, it was a hit. Not to the extent of "Complicated," mind you, but more comparable to Lorde's first two hits ("Team" to "Royals"). It peaked at number ten on the Hot 100 and placed inside the top ten of ten other countries. Oddly enough, it performed the worst in her home country of Canada, where the track peaked at number 29. Also, kudos to "Sk 8er Boi" placing at number eigth. #01 CF15#01 zaclord ๐#02 bat1990#03 @quirkyfarang #03 @walker9 #05 bboat11#05 Doc Indie Party Rock#05 rgreen0625#05 โ ealsรผnset#06 @mirza #07 austin#08 nick64#08 JOJO SIWA DERANGEMENT SYNDROME#08 Juanca#08 Leaf#09 toomuchboy#10 YotamTS#11 Normi#13 castleoblivion26#13 Sambalada#13 Libra#14 alexcuse#14 ry4n#14 Juan Carlos#15 aerodynamite#16 james518#17 Choco#17 Leo โ#18 born#18 Au$tin#19 Az Paynter#20 .indulgecountry#24 Kanenrรก:ke#26 Devil Marlena Nylund#28 Snowbeast{Songs Remaining}Complicated I'm with You Keep Holding On My Happy Ending Nobody's Home When You're Gone Wish You Were Here
