I still ranked it pretty low because Avril is one of my favorites and I love almost everything she's ever done, so it was among tough competition, but I definitely feel like "Hello Kitty" gets a lot of over-the-top hate thrown its way, lol. I thought it was a cool experiment for her, especially seeing as her following in Japan is pretty crazy. I also found it humorous that white people were all offended when the video came out but Japan was like "No fam, we love this."

The reveal will begin momentarily!
First up, #30. This is the only song in the entire rankdown that did not manage to make it into anyone's top ten. In fact, its highest ranking is #11. It ranks as the second lowest standard deviation.

I bet it'll be something random like The Best Damn Thing. Well, I think it'll be The Best Damn Thing 30. The Best Damn ThingAVG: 24.57142857 MED: 26 STD: 4.480583695 FINAL SCORE: 18.68513598
Album: The Best Damn Thing Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Butch Walker Producers: Butch Walker"The Best Damn Thing" was the final single from Avril Lavigne's third studio album with the same title. Depending on if you count "Keep Holding On" as a single from the album or not, it was the fourth or fifth single. It is questionably one of the oddest single choices of Avril's career. The song is barely a decent album track, and is way too polarizing of a track to work as a single, and that showed. The song was a massive flop, only making the top 20 in Belgium. That was the only country where it even cracked the top 50. Stateside, the track peaked at number seven on the Bubbling Under chart. The track did manage to go platinum in Brazil, however. I'm always a little bitter towards it as well since it was picked as a single over "Runaway," which is arguably the biggest missed single of Avril's career. Clearly you guys agree, as "The Best Damn Thing" ranks as the the lowest damn thing of this rankdown! #11 zaclord 🌈#16 Sambalada#16 Leo ✔#17 born#19 Juanca#21 Az Paynter#21 Choco#21 rgreen0625#22 austin#23 Libra#23 @quirkyfarang #24 aerodynamite#25 CF15#25 james518#25 Au$tin#25 †ealsünset#25 toomuchboy#26 YotamTS#27 alexcuse#27 castleoblivion26#27 Kanenrá:ke#27 Juan Carlos#27 Leaf#27 @mirza #27 Snowbeast#27 @walker9 #28 nick64#28 🅳🅸🆂🅲🅾#28 .indulgecountry#29 bat1990#29 bboat11#29 Doc Indie Party Rock#29 Normi#29 Rose "Payola" Nylund#30 ry4n{Songs Remaining}Alice (Extended Version) Complicated Don't Tell Me Fall to Pieces Fly Girlfriend Give You What You Like Goodbye Hello Kitty Here's to Never Growing Up He Wasn't Hot I Always Get What I Want I'm with You Innocence Keep Holding On Knockin' on Heaven's Door Let Me Go Losing Grip Mobile My Happy Ending Nobody's Home Rock N Roll Sk8er Boi Smile Take Me Away What the Hell When You're Gone Wish You Were Here

That pre-chorus part is great in my opinion. The rest of the song isn't that good.

Some aspects of The Best Damn Thing are pretty good, while others make it feel like a poor man's Girlfriend.

Oh! Didn't think this was gonna be in the bottom 5, or that I was gonna be among the most generous with this song. I mean, yeah, it's not great but I think it's catchier than several other Avril songs...

This just shows how tough this rankdown is - TBDT is a damn fine song! At one point, it was one of my favourite songs, but it hasn't really stood the test of time too well. At least "Hello Kitty" isn't last!

Up next with #29...
We lose our first top ten ranking. Only one person, though. The rest had it at #12 or below. In fact, five users have the next track as their #30. It has the lowest median of all of the songs. It also has a fairly middle-of-the-pack standard deviation, ranking as the 14th lowest/16th highest standard deviation.

Time to go get your eyes checked. 'Losing Grip' doesn't seem to have stood the test of time like the other 'Let Go' singles. It could have feasibly been in only one person's top 10. :sip2: Turns out it isn't though lol (yay) so I'm not alone.

I did rank it at 29 myself Au$tin, so I was sort of right! No complaints about the 29. Not a bad song by any means, just not one of her better ones. Maybe it's one of those you need to experience live.

Incoming #28...
We lose our first number one! At the same time, we lose ten number 30 ranks! Surprisingly, though, it is only the 8th highest standard deviation. It ties with "The Best Damn Thing" as having the second highest median behind "I Always Get What I Want."

Yea the next one has to be Hello Kitty lol. Indeed! Yea the next one has to be Hello Kitty lol. But it only has 10 Number 30 ranks? Are you sure it's enough? Definitely enough. "Hello Kitty" has the most #30 ranks of any track. 28. Hello KittyAVG: 23.68571429 MED: 26 STD: 7.816917659 FINAL SCORE: 17.57192411
Album: Avril Lavigne Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger, David Hodges, Martin Johnson Producers: Martin Johnson"Hello Kitty" was the fourth single from Avril's most recent album, Avril Lavigne. It was a strange release for several reasons. First off, it was released six months after the album's previous single. Literally everyone thought the album was dead, but Avril returned with a fairly controversial video for this track out of nowhere. The video featured heavy cultural references to Japan, and the song itself is influenced by J-pop. Several people claimed Avril was culturally approprating Japenese culture in both the song and especially the video. The funny thing, though, is that Japan actually embraced the song and video, where the track actually made it to number 82 on Billboard's Japan airplay chart. Apparently the east doesn't care as much about cultural appropration. They actually loved that a western artist had embraced their culture so much. Nonetheless, the single also became the second highest peaking song from the album in the US thanks to virality of the video. It peaked at number 75 here. It also became a minor hit in South Korea and became VEVO Certified. Before the album released, Avril described the song. "I have a song called Hello Kitty, which I wrote about Hello Kitty because I'm obsessed, and it's a really fun thing that I've never done before. It kind of has a kind of glitchy, electronic feel to it and it's... the only one on the record that sounds like that. It's really different and a lot of my friends I've played it for really like it. I'm having a lot of fun with that one." #01 🅳🅸🆂🅲🅾#05 Kanenrá:ke#09 austin#12 Az Paynter#12 Leo ✔#16 nick64#16 Normi#18 rgreen0625#19 Leaf#23 alexcuse#24 ry4n#24 zaclord 🌈#25 @quirkyfarang #26 bat1990#26 castleoblivion26#26 .indulgecountry#26 Au$tin#26 toomuchboy#27 Juanca#27 Rose "Payola" Nylund#28 aerodynamite#28 james518#28 born#28 Juan Carlos#29 @mirza #30 bboat11#30 CF15#30 Choco#30 Doc Indie Party Rock#30 Sambalada#30 Libra#30 Snowbeast#30 †ealsünset#30 @walker9 #30 YotamTS {Songs Remaining}Alice (Extended Version) Complicated Don't Tell Me Fall to Pieces Fly Girlfriend Give You What You Like Goodbye Here's to Never Growing Up He Wasn't Hot I'm with You Innocence Keep Holding On Knockin' on Heaven's Door Let Me Go Losing Grip Mobile My Happy Ending Nobody's Home Rock N Roll Sk8er Boi Smile Take Me Away What the Hell When You're Gone Wish You Were Here Meow.
