Can I join this one? I saw the plug on the Miranda Lambert's third singles poll.
I'm not quite familiar with her older material (pre-Revolution) outside of a few songs though.
I've been on Pulse for almost 2 years but I've never done a rankdown so idk how it exactly works. Do I just PM my full rankings?

I think I'll be participating in more rankdowns in the future, it is a pretty neat idea! I listened to all of Miranda's earlier stuff that's on the rankdown and I must say they were pretty good, although that's not saying much because I like most of Miranda's stuff so... 1. What is the one song that received zero top 10 votes? Gonna guess "Coal Miner's Daughter" maybe?
2. What songs will have the highest & lowest SD? High SDs will be "Somethin' Bad" and "Fastest Girl in Town" with "The House That Built Me" probably having one of the lowest SDs
3. Which collaboration will last the longest (including Pistol Annies) Probably "Somethin' Bad" or "Hell on Heels"
4. Which era will be the first to lose a song? Guessing Platinum
5. Which era will be the last to lose a song? Revolution
6. When will the first person lose their #1? idk, maybe like 5 songs in
7. When will the last person lose their #29? there's always gotta be someone with a questionable choice so I'm guess around Top 5, lol
8. Which Pistol Annies song will make it further? "Hell on Heels" for sure
9. Is the #1 song a song that was also a #1 for Miranda (CA and/or BB)? I think it'll be "The House That Built Me" that wins, so probably. If it isn't that though, then it won't be a #1 hit because I know that "Over You" and "Heart Like Mine" ain't winning this thing.

(I'd actually forgotten about it, until the rankdown). 2. What songs will have the highest & lowest SD? Hightest would have to go to "Little Red Wagon" and "Somethin' Bad" The lowest, I'd say... "The House That Built Me" and "Automatic." 3. Which collaboration will last the longest (including Pistol Annies) While not my favorite PA song, I'd say "Hell On Heels." I think people enjoyed "We Were Us" but when it comes down to the 'Miranda factor,' it would go to a PA song. 4. Which era will be the first to lose a song? I'm going to guess Platinum. It seemed like a very polarizing album. You either loved it, or you hated it. *love* 5. Which era will be the last to lose a song? Revolution. Period. 6. When will the first person lose their #1? Within the first three songs. 7. When will the last person lose their #29? Somewhere along the lines of the top 10. You can see anything in these rankdowns. 8. Which Pistol Annies song will make it further? Probably "Hell On Heels." ("Takin' Pills" is my personal favorite PA single, and it wasn't included  ). 9. Do you think your #1 has a shot at overall #1? 1) I would suspect "Coal miner's daughter" 2) "Somethin' bad" seems very much a love/hate affair, "Gunpowder & lead" could have a high SD too. I expect "Tin Man" to have low SD aswell as CMD - the latter because I suspect nearly everyone will have rated it somewhere between 28th and 29th. 3) Somethin' bad - enough high rankings for it to outlast the others. 4) Platinum 5) The weight of these wings 6) around 21-23. 7) 6 - there's always one! 8) Hush Hush - with a bit of luck! 9) I am thinking no... 10) Every song has a shot, but my #1s are never actually #1s, so I would be very, very surprised - think it will be out @ 13ish. |

Highest SD: Automatic, Over You, Vice, All Kinds of Kinds, We Should Be Friends. Lowest SD: Tin Man, Me and Charlie Talking, We Were Us 3. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "Smokin' and Drinkin'"! 4. Platinum or The Weight of These Wings. 5. Revolution. 6. The first #1 will be eliminated at #25. 7. The last #29 will be eliminated at #4. 8. Hush Hush. 9. Nope! All of Miranda's biggest hits are too polarizing. I'm going to predict it is something unexpected that nobody ever really talks about disliking, like "Famous In A Small Town" or "New Strings". 10. Unfortunately, I bet my #1 doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of finishing at #1 in the overall rankdown! I have no idea where it will place, because I don't really know how well it was received overall in the context of her career. I'm going to predict it will be eliminated between #15 and #10. |
