I can't find an actual link to listen to this song, but the descriptions I am seeing make me excited Christina Aguilera+Sia+Shape of You, bring it embarrassing Summer guilty pleasure song.

I actually quite like this!
The "Genie in a Bottle" part of the chorus is such an ear worm and definitely the best part of the song.
I just wish she didn't sound so much like Sia overall.

This could've been sung by anyone. I'm just happy she doesn't have much of that whiny Chipette quality to her voice on it, that I can actually enjoy it.

Camilla is one of those singers that you either love her or hate her.Her squeaky voice can be annoying at times but she does have alot of fans in the Usa and around the world.I can see this peaking in the top 30 maybe higher depending on the Music video. I agree, being objective she sings well but her voice have a very strong annoying quality. It's curious how being far from being the strongest singer in 5th harmony she was the most popular

I'm just happy she's not employing her falsetto in this song because her lower register is fantastic. Yes, she sounds way too much like Sia in this song, but I hear Camila's voice after a few more listens. I can't wait to see how this song charts and how it will fare. I'm a fan so I'm rooting for her to succeed, haters be damned. π

I don't know anything about this chick, but damn people seem to hate her. For me it's not hate, I'm just sick of her altogether and this was even before her solo release. She has to be the most overhyped singer in recent memory, and her vocals are mediocre at best.

This is way too Sia, it really does sound like she's mimicking her. But it's also incredibly safe and radio friendly, could end up being a hit for her. I would rather have this with Sia on lead vocals and then Camila could act it out on stage.

She has an incredibly unique tone - why would you launch your solo career with a song mimicking someone else's? Because we're entering an era where pop radio's demographic of teen girls isn't familiar with songs like Genie In A Bottle. It seems crazy, but I was just thinking about when current artists are going to start sampling millennial classics.

The intro reminds me of a blend of Close and Shape Of You. The rest sounds original to me bar the sample and the bridge kind of sounding like Lights

I think the comment was referring to the similarities to Sia's vocals, not "Genie in a Bottle".

The way the pre chorus is sung reminds me of Te Amo, and the chorus reminds me Side To Side and Can't Stop Dancing a bit. Oh, and the instrumental in the verses reminds me of Don't Let Me Down and Treat You Betger Olay I'm done

this is soooooo safe, a kii that she releases a knockoff of a knockoff when she was crying about needing "creative freedom." it'll be a cute hit.

I guess the only way for her to sound halfway bearable is for her to imitate another singer. It's clear she's imitating Sia. This is a clear knockoff of "Cheap Thrills". It's less catchy though. I think it'll perform ok since they're pushing her hard. But it just feels like a mid-level Bebe Rexha bop type thing that fizzles.
But because I don't like her, I wish her the least of fortune.

They are on point with taking the audio down. Can't find this anywhere. However I'm not that anxious to hear it so I'll just wait till tomorrow.

This is solid, sounds like it'll be a hit.
Would like to see it hit big just to piss off the weirdly irrational hate people have for her.

I posted this a few years ago in another topic which sums up my thoughts on this subject. These are the same ones who think Christina Aguilera is that drunk auntie who ruins a party by singing and dancing thinking she looks and sounds great but she's just a f**king mess (I had a manager who thought Christina was a drag queen).

The only thing I took from that quote is that you've been a misogynistic asshole since as far back as two and a half years ago. Β―\_(γ)_/Β― PS: This song sounds cheap and uninspired, but I think it might be a hit.

Um I don't think we're saying similar things. I'm saying that enough time has passed for millennial classics to become sampled in the songs of current artists, even if people like myself find it weird because it doesn't feel like that long ago I was bopping to Genie In A Bottle.

This is her big breakthrough single from 5H ? she could have come a lot harder,, this is certainly no ''Crazy in Love '' hmmmmm not a fan of the sample either, this entire song sounds very generic

She's worked with a bunch of great and heavy hitter producers though. Like this is the best they could come up with? Granted, I'm sure they're not going to give their best to Camila but...still.

I was trying to point out that the youth of today will be unaware of the cultural and other nostalgic significance of the song and will assess their own notions regarding it and/or the artist.
