The Khaled prediction seems a bit high (I'm remembering Harry's single which was also predicted to sell about 20k more than it did in the end after it took a massive lead, but that did start going red much earlier I think), the others are really bad. Edit: Add OneRepublic's 13k prediction as well .

Also, I read that all the songs in the Top 20 took out of nowhere big drops. Wtf happened? AI recalibration. That happens every once in a while.

AI recalibration. That happens every once in a while. Why would they recalibrate AI? Did hot 100 use recalibrated data too? Is it gonna change the numbers of those songs' airplay performances? Because stations' general listener might drop or increase over time? AI is mostly estimate based on the stations average listener and the time of the day the song is played, iirc. If say, some stations are showing noticable drop in average listener, the songs played by the station will tend to experience decrease in average audience per spin as well. Because radio tracking is using estimates, the estimates should be adjusted accordingly as well. As for billboard, I'm not sure whether Nielsen use the same method and recalibrates their estimates at the same time with Mediabase, so...

Katy is slowly slipping on iTunes day by day, her next best bet is to release a video and discount the track. Or at least start promoting the shit out of it, because it's definitely not doing well.

Jump was the most popular song when I was born
And I think I'm The One is top 5 lock. Good lead on sales, good Streaming (assuming at least 40M) and has deal on radio

06 NE I'll Stand By You - Carrie Underwood
2007- when Carrie was so big she could debut in the top 10 just off of one live performance.

Oh man, the Never Again debut week lmao. That's in the running for the most chaotic song thread ever here. Legendtina ran that shit. 06 NE I'll Stand By You - Carrie Underwood 2007- when Carrie was so big she could debut in the top 10 just off of one live performance. It wasn't just her to be fair, Idol was at its absolute peak of popularity then. It wasn't any live appearance.

01 01 The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack (5th of 6 weeks at #1)
May 15, 1982
01 02 Ebony And Ivory - Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder (1st of 7 weeks at #1)
Some more examples of songs that were really big in their day, spending multiple weeks at #1, but that you rarely hear on the radio anymore (I'll grant that these were from a while ago, but you still don't hear them on the oldie stations). So today, even if something like That's What I like gets blocked by Shape of You, don't necessarily despair and think the former will disappear through history.

Surely those songs do well on the all-time chart since those are a lot of weeks at #1 for that time period.

^ I feel like it might have been the wrong time to release that song, she's still too enmeshed in the Joanne era. Why not wait to launch her next album with The Cure, especially since it's signaling a new direction? I'm not at all against it becoming a hit now though!
