I just can't @ anyone thinking Ur So Gay could or should be last. Outside of a couple songs, I hated most of her first album at the time of release, and it's almost unlistenable now it's so dated. "Ur So Gay" has the extra benefit of being homophobic and cringeworthy, making it a deserving contender for dead last. See, this is what bugs me so much about Pulse: the propensity to take goofy songs way too seriously, not appreciate the humor, and just altogether miss the point.

See, this is what bugs me so much about Pulse: the propensity to take goofy songs way too seriously, not appreciate the humor, and just altogether miss the point. Goofy or not, I remember 'Ur So Gay' being the first Katy song I ever heard, and thinking 'WTF is this s**t?!' and hoping she never became a thing. And then I hated how much I liked 'I Kissed A Girl'. Ironically, even though I'm generally not here for 'Ur So Gay' the version from her MTV Unplugged set is fantastic.

I wish I could change my list, Bon Appetit has grown on me so much more since I submitted my list. It should be a bit higher than it is.

1) Which song do you believe will be the first out? "Ur So Gay", because it won't be political correct to some people? 2) Which song could win the whole rankdown? "I Kissed A Girl", "Caifornia Gurls", "Dark Horse" , but I hope not. 3) Which song could have the highest Standart Deviation? That song with Timberland. Already forget it's name. 4) Which song could have the lowest Standart Deviation? "California Gurls" thinking everone loves this one. Even I like Snoop's rapping. 5) How do you think your #1 can do in this rankdown? It better win or else. ;)

Actually, since sending my list I've grown to like Bon Appetit a lot more. Not top 20 material but it would have moved a handful of spots above where I initially ranked it.

I'm actually not super familiar with the song but isn't she using 'gay' here as an insult? Yes. In a tongue in cheek way. Basically the song is "this guy I like acts incredibly effeminate to the point where it's like a stereotypical gay man" and then she calls him out on it by saying "you're so gay, but you don't even like boys." The message isn't inherently bad, it's just her phrasing and how she presents it that could make it off putting and kind of offensive in a way.

Every time I've listened to "Ur So Gay" I feel uncomfortable and insulted.
She has learned a lot and become a more enlightened person since the problematic messages on OOTB, the USG was the worst offense to me personally.

One of the Boys is by far Katy's best album. Yeah, most of it was tasteless, but that was her appeal. She was so delightfully sassy that it made the tastelessness all the more charming.
Ever since then, she has become an interchangeable pop singer. There are still shades of the personality that made her so wonderful in the first place, but only here and there.

"Who You Love" is a song written and performed by John Mayer and Katy Perry for Mayer's sixth studio album, Paradise Valley (2013). It appears as the sixth song on the album and is the third single from the record. Mayer co-produced the song with Don Was and released it as an Internet download on August 12, 2013. Lyrically, "Who You Love" is a ballad about accepting falling in love with someone, on the theory that "you love who you love".
