There's a photo on the front page at the top (one of the big 3) that says Exclusive Killers Remix.

THE KILLERS Mr. Brightside Producer(s): Jeff Saltzman, the Killers Writer(s): B. Flowers, D. Keuning Publisher(s): the Killers Publishing (ASCAP) Genre: DANCE Label/Catalog Number: Island ISLR B0004170 (12-inch vinyl) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: March 05, 2005
A massive hit at modern rock radio, the oh-so-buoyant and hooky "Mr. Brightside" is put to the remix test with mixed results. Grammy Award winner Jacques Lu Cont, sadly, depletes the song of its energy and intensity. Of course, underground club DJs will likely eat this up. But those preferring something more, shall we say, bright, look no further than Lindbergh Palace's remixes—especially the bubbly radio edit, which spotlights the musicianship of bandmates Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci.—MP

LOL @ that Billboard review. The Lu Cont Mix is by far the better of the two.

I agree with the review except I don't like either remix. I think they're boring.

Yeah I agree, they're both boring although nice relaxing songs to chill to.

Since when did Billboard become any kind of authority on dance remixes? The Lu Cont mix is clearly better than Lindbergh's, but neither is bad.

Has anyone heard anything about a remix for the next single, "Smile Like You Mean It?" Billboard just reviewed it and said, while the track is more down-tempo than "Mr. Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me," BUT that it is sure to do well in a multi-format release (i.e.: clubs, radio) like the previous two singles.

The DJ Strobe mixes of Mr Brightside are AWESOME. One is a nu wave disco stomper and the other is a bit darker & moodier. The intro to the nu wave is like the drum sample from Flock Of Seagulls' Space Age Love Song. Well worth hunting for.
Strobe did great mixes for Britney (Everytime, Me Against The Music) and Missy Elliott (I'm Really Hot).

Richard Humpty did a remix of it too. It is available on a 12" release. It's quite a bit slower, which isnt necessarily a bad thing... but its not that great sounding judging by the clip I heard.

Amokk - yes, you are correct! I have the white label right here. It's lableled as "Killer Vission - Mr. Brightside". Ahh, I see it's at Juno as well: www.juno.co.uk/products/172986-01.htmI like these mixes, personally. Very 'electro'....

I listened to them on Juno. I like them too! The one I heard was a different white label, mislabelled, it was Patrick something remix. I tried to order it but they are sold out. DJ 7UP, do you think you could pvt me the remix? Or trade me for something I might have, let me know! thanks.
