I haven't put any thought into a next mix yet. Any ideas anyone? I have to get my MIDI fixed, then I will be doing more mixes. Too bad I don't get money for this lol, I could afford some equiptment that works!!

Haha heck yes!!! You should totally do an updated version of "Vogue" by Madonna lol. That would totally make my day!!! But seriously, I totally agree with everyone...your mixes rock the socks way off!!

I have never been able to find an acapella for vogue that didn't sound like crap. I would need a good acapella for that. But I agree, all the past remixes for it are pretty lame sounding.

A lot of Madonna's old remixes sound very dated...maybe cause they are 90s remixes and those all ARE dated now. Anyone know of any club mixes of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" besides the Miami mixes?

There's an almighty cover of it. But it's not madonna, it's "Who's That Girl". I have the 12" at work, I will check and see what it has for mixes...

I have never been able to find an acapella for vogue that didn't sound like crap. I would need a good acapella for that. But I agree, all the past remixes for it are pretty lame sounding. I have heard so many acapellas of the track that sound like shit. I often wonder, “why do they sound like THAT?!” They’re that bad. There have been some okay-sounding remixes of “Vogue” that came out. I remember one came out in 1999 called “Vogue ‘99”. It was released as 12” in Italy. The Sharp Boys had remixed it. I remember hearing it on the radio for awhile, then it went away. It was pretty good. I have not been able to find it as an mp3 or vinyl since then. Even though the original track is almost 15 years old, it’s still a classic and always will be. The Original 12” mix of “Vogue” is where it’s at. It’s over 8 minutes long and is pretty good. Some of Shep Pettibone’s finest work. The only other remixes that came out, if you can consider them as such were the versions of the song Madonna performed at the Girle Show in Australia, and the one at the Re-Invention Tour. I found mp3s of both of the tracks. The one at the Girlie Show has a Middle-Eastern/Indian feel to it. The vocals were the same as the original. And the Re-Invention one was a live-recording and the song has a harder feel to it, but the core production was the same. A lot of Madonna's old remixes sound very dated...maybe cause they are 90s remixes and those all ARE dated now. Anyone know of any club mixes of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" besides the Miami mixes? Most of the 90’s ones do sound a bit dated, but some of them are exceptions. The Victor Calderone mixes of “Frozen” and the Rauhofer mixes of “Skin”, and “Nothing Really Matters” still sound like they were recently completed. I loved the Miami mixes of “Don‘t Cry For Me Argentina” too, but those are the only one I know of at this point in time. There might be some unreleased or unofficial mixes available too. If I find anything, I’ll let you know.

RNB Main Mix? Sounds kinda like it would be the original. I have an acapella of Nelly & Tim McGraw - Over And Over, so I might be mixing this one next, I'll see what I can come up with!

Disco Dude...the Girlie Show and Re-Invention Tour versions of "Vogue" are simply incredible!!! I remember going to the July 15th show of the RIT last summer and damn....probably the most amazing night of my life!!! Loved it!! Can't wait for the documentary and the RIT DVD!

I've decided "Over And Over" will not make a good dance remix, because even at a slower speed of 120 BPM the words sound WAY too rushed, and if I do the vocals half speed with a beat of 140, it makes me want to sleep. It would probably make an interesting RNB or slower remix, but there are already a couple of those. So no point really...

I'm curious too, its not really his style..... although he has done nelly's songs before. But I know that it either sounds rushed or its a slow remix lol

theres a wil smith - switch (funkymix) That's basically the original that's been reworked a little to include a 32-beat intro/outro for mixshow purposes. the Funkymix version does include a few loosely tossed in samples (notably use of the trademark "Hey, hey, hey!" from Fat Albert) but other than that, no real difference.

Amokk...you should totally remix "Music" by Madonna. There's an acapella floating around of it because it was the Acapella for the HQ2 Mix.....omg that would kick ass. Shoot I'm totally gonna keep my eyes peeled for it now...if I get it I'll totally let you know!
