The fact that the auto-tuned disgrace of a song known as "Lookin' For That Girl" is still in after two reveals amazes me.
Also, lol @ my 71 being the seventh highest placing for "Truck Yeah".

This is another one of those times where I would use the phrase "Bye trash!" "Truck Yeah" I can kind of understand why it was released but this I don't. All of us who ranked "Truck Yeah" at #76 (@adam1995, someguy, zaclord 🌈, and me) ranked "Lookin' For That Girl" at #75 lol

cannot complain with any of these eliminations thus far
I have had Tim's first album since the 90's and I actually like a lot of the songs on it but "What Room was The Holiday In" has always been one of my least favorites off of that album. It is definitely weaker than most everything else he has ever released with Curb. Sadly he had to disrupt his catalog with terrible song choices like "Lookin' For That Girl" and "Truck Yeah" (super sad that Chris Janson helped write "Truck Yeah" because that is so bad imo)

When you hear twin fiddles and a steel guitar, you're listening to the sound of the...________ heart? The answer is: "honky tonk heart"! I put a question mark after it because obviously the well-known lyric to George Strait's "Heartland" is "When you hear twin fiddles and a steel guitar, you're listening to the sound of the American heart," so obviously someone might be confused if they were to walk into a bar and hear a fiddle and steel guitar and realize that it is actually the sound of a honky tonk heart
"I need a five-piece band with a fiddle and steel guitar Someone to hold when the music starts I've got a two steppin' mind and a honky tonk heart" 72. "Two Steppin' Mind"Album: Tim McGraw Country Airplay Peak: 71

"Lookin' for That Girl" stayed in too long.
But wait, "Two Steppin' Mind"?! Really? We couldn't find anything else to eliminate already because I can think of one... *cough*FeelLikeaRockstar*cough*
And that clue has got to be for Indian Outlaw.

With that, our bottom 6 is gone! 70 songs remain. Which of those songs are you guys surprised to see survive the bottom 6? Which songs in the bottom 6 (if any) are you surprised to see out already?

I am totally with you about not missing any of the songs from Tim's debut album. They seemed weaker than other tracks he has, and all of them ended up closer to the bottom than the top for me.
I'm surprised "Feel Like a Rockstar" wasn't eliminated in the first round of reveals (now watch indulge rant about it not being eliminated yet ;) ). It's super underwhelming for a collaboration between two of the format's biggest stars. But then again, it's probably my favorite single from Welcome to the Fishbowl except I can't remember how "El Cerrito Place" goes (but FLAR is better than the borefest called "Come Over"!)...

Ha good one, it really would've been a shocker if "Indian Outlaw" was out that early. I'm gonna guess "Welcome to the Club" leaves as #70 at this rate.
I think the only loss I'm slightly disappointed for is "Two Steppin' Mind". I think that should've deserved to make it to the 65-70 range.

I'm not really surprised by anything that's been eliminated but I am surprised that "Over And Over" and "Suspicions" are still in.

I was receiving shade and Im not a participant lol Looking For That Girl deserved better *gets kicked* LMAO considering the huge gap between it and the next song, you rating it high would have had absolutely no effect on its placement. The only thing you would have done is chosen to lose a high-ranking song early

Well I think I'm in the minority about thinking "Come Over" is boring anyways so... I even ranked it at #88 on the 2012 Year-End Hot 100 (it was my third-lowest ranked country song ahead of "Red Solo Cup" and "Take a Little Ride" which isn't saying much). I'm listening to it again but it still does nothing for me I was receiving shade and Im not a participant lol Looking For That Girl deserved better *gets kicked* Tbh "Lookin' For That Girl" did better than it deserved to! You should be happy :kii: I am curious to see where you would've ranked it if you actually had participated in this though. And yes, I will give you a kick ;)

Small, unimportant victory, but I'm quite happy to see that "Lookin' for That Girl" beat out "Truck Yeah," because the former has always just been mediocre to me while the latter is a dumpster fire of epic proportions. Also, I predicted it would be his first album era to be cleared out, but I am a *little* surprised that his debut album is doing that poorly. Like I think we're already down to just "Welcome to the Club" left from that one and we're only like 6 reveals in, right? I feel like with how obscure it is (hadn't heard and/or didn't remember any of his debut album era stuff before this RD) and with how strong his material is, it was expected... though seeing some of Shania's non-entity debut album singles have some mileage in her rankdown (namely "What Made You Say That" coming close to Top 20) made me a little skeptic that they'd all just slot in right at the bottom, but I underestimated that I suppose. ETA: Now where tf is the Kenny Crapney duet? GTFO yesterday.

I liked "Nine Lives" to some extent... And at me being the third-highest ranker for the song lol I did too...but I got you beat. I like Def Leppard, but "Nine Lives" pales in comparison to their stuff from Pyromania and Hysteria.

Fantastic beginning to the rankdown! Most of the useless garbage is out already and Tim's boring first era (that I didn't know existed) is vanishing rapidly. Keep it coming.
