I remember reading somewhere that Tim has never agreed with a single hits collection that has been released, including his original Greatest Hits album, don't remember where I read that but I am fairly certain he said that in an interview at one point in time That's pretty interesting! I have always felt like his first and second ones were pretty necessary at the point in his career in which they were released. To me it started getting really weird when Curb put out the 3rd Greatest Hits cd like immediately after the second one came out... But it wouldn't really surprise me if Tim was kinda forced to put out the first two hits collections, because his unhappiness with Curb had to have been bubbling long before the debacle of Let It Go/Greatest Hits 3/Southern Voice/Number One Hits/Emotional Traffic.I've looked to see if I can find it but all I can find is a reference to his counter-lawsuit with Curb where he said they used the compilations as an underhanded tactic to extend his contract because he wasn't allowed to work on the next album until 18 months after the release of the last album. I don't know if the first Greatest Hits was something he supported originally and then learned of this tactic or if he was even against that one but if I'm remembering correctly he was against that one as well.

I love "Not A Moment Too Soon" and am glad it made it this far. Did not expect it to last much longer so not surprised to see it out.

Some people might have even thought it was a lock for the top 10, as it gets a LOT of praise here on Pulse! Personally though I am thrilled to see it leave now, because I have always thought this one was incredibly boring, to the point where it became an instant station-changer for most of its chart run... I feel bad for the 7 people who lost a top 10 though :( {Songs Remaining} Angry All The Time Diamond Rings And Old Barstools Don’t Take The Girl Everywhere Highway Don’t Care Humble And Kind I Like It, I Love It I Need You If You’re Reading This Just To See You Smile Live Like You Were Dying My Next Thirty Years Please Remember Me She Never Lets It Go To Her Heart Something Like That The Cowboy In Me Where The Green Grass Grows

"Better Than I Used To Be" made it far and I'm happy. When I listen to the song, I cannot listen to it without thinking about Tim's relationship with Curb, and because of that the honest lyrics just gives me chills when I listen to it.
"Not a Moment Too Soon" is also a really good song too.

Yesssss "Meanwhile Back at Snoozefest" is finally gone. I will never, ever understand the love for this song. It's not bad, but I literally can never remember how it goes even 5 minutes after I hear it. One of the most forgettable songs ever.

I have wanted to like this song but for some reason I've just never been able to get into it. I honestly ranked it higher than I should have because I felt it is a good song and deserved a decent ranking but it is so boring and I always forget how it goes

I honestly can't believe some people hate "Meanwhile Back At Mama's. I love my top 3 pretty much equally so this easily could have been my number 1.

I like "Meanwhile Back At Mama's," but I'm glad it's gone. I don't think it deserves top 15 over so many other great singles.

"Meanwhile Back at Mama's" had no business beating "Shotgun Rider," so to that I say good riddance!

Lol just when I posted in the Faith Hill rankdown that you better get the reveals done here soon...
And YES "I Need You" is finally out! Such a snoozefest compared to their other duets (except for "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me").

Unfortunately for rgreen0625 , his bet on what is arguably Tim McGraw's most classic and iconic song making it all the way did not quite pan out. This was Tim's first #1 hit, and one of the most overplayed songs of all time, which I am sure might have factored against it here. This was personally extremely hard for me to rank, because the story within this song is SO sweet, and I love the message and the lyrics, and I am driven crazy by the ambiguous ending, and I am also so sick of the song because it has been around for my entire life and I never need to hear it again, but I also love it... So yeah, my rank of 25 might not do it justice, but my feelings towards this song are so all-over-the-place that it is extremely difficult to decide which feeling wins out when I am ranking the song.

I appreciate the story of the song, but Tim's voice during his first two albums bother me a lot (it's actually surprising to me that I was able to rank "Not a Moment Too Soon" in my top 25).
Also, I don't know why, but the "Take Jimmy Johnson, take Tommy Thompson" part bothers me too. I know they were trying to name names of boys and make them rhyme, but that part makes me cringe for some reason.

I thought "Don't Take The Girl" was an absolute lock for the top 10. One interesting tidbit about this song, despite it being such a massive hit, it hasn't made the setlist on any of Tim's tours in the last 10 years.

Did country albums use to be shorter in length in general? An album that's slightly over half an hour seems really short to me. Is that because releases used to be more frequent? I feel like when I check discographies of country artists who was releasing music in the 90s, they seem to have released one album every 1 or 1.5 years as opposed to 2 that seems to be more common these days.

Time for us to officially say goodbye to our final Tim/Faith duet!! "I Need You" is one that has a lot of lovers, and a lot who find it to be boring, but very little outright hate. Personally I have always found it to be kinda boring, but I can appreciate the beauty of it and definitely enjoy listening to it when I am in the right mood. But my God, are some of the lyrics cringeworthy! "Like a needle needs a vein"? Really?! [/div][/quote] Literally my favorite line in the song, though part of it is just because it's also my favorite vocal moment in the song because Faith Hill absolutely killed it on "I Need You" and that particular line was the best part. Probably one of the biggest factors in why it ranked all the way up at #2 for me. Glad it was the last duet/feature with Faith Hill in the game standing and that it made Top 20 at least!

"Blank Sheet of Paper" is one of the not so many album tracks that I've heard because I've heard many people say it should've been a single (and I completely agree). How they even decided to release stuff like "Drugs or Jesus" which should've stayed an album track over this song is baffling to me.
