It looks like "High Horse" was the song that Kacey and her team have chosen to submit for the general categories for the Grammy's. I know "Space Cowboy" had been rumored to be a contender for at least Song of the Year, which may have been smarter for that category, but "High Horse" could still get in. I'm curious as to which genre "High Horse" was submitted for and if not country (hopefully not), then maybe "Space Cowboy" was submitted for there.
Either way, Golden Hour should be receiving a Country Album of the Year and a Album of the Year nod (unless the Grammy's royally screw up) and anything else is just icing on the cake.

I agree Space Cowboy is a better song lyrically, so it would fit better in SotY, but High Horse is a more βuniversalβ song (I guess) so I understand why they chose it for the general categories. It will probably reach a wider audience within the voters. Having said that, I really hope she submitted Space Cowboy for the country categories.

Kacey Musgraves High Horse β ROY, SOY, Pop Solo, MVid Butterflies β Ctry Solo No Getting Over Me β Ctry DG Space Cowboy β Ctry Song To June This Morning β AR Perf Golden Hour β AOY, Ctry Album
REALLY happy with Kaceyβs submissions! After the mess they did during the Pageant Material era submissions, these shows her team are really going for it this time. REALLY excited about βHigh Horseβ being submitted to pop. Not sure what her chances are, but itβs definitely worth trying! Wouldβve put βSpace Cowboyβ in Country Solo, but I understand βButterfliesβ being chosen! Iβm glad she chose βSpace Cowboyβ in Country song though! βTo June This Morningβ in Americana performance <3

Ummm...the way she spoke about her meeting with Adele ("opened the door," no makeup, etc.) legit leads me to believe they collaborated or wrote a song together or something. (And if that is indeed the case, GIVE TO ME NOW.)

Personally loved what Bruno and Adele came up with so I could only imagine what Kacey & Adele will conjure given Kacey's headspace with Golden Hour.

I remember comparing PM to 21 when it dropped, so I would absolutely be here for an Adele collab!

Kacey joking about her favorite Britney song being E-Mail My Heart Probably my favorite moment from any 2018 celebrity interview. She's clearly a stan. I'd love a subdued Adele song with Kacey accompanying her on the higher harmonies.

That "Somewhere Only We Know" cover is ethereal. My god, she is pure talent.

Holy cow, what a cover. I need her to release all of these stellar covers she does because they're unreal. No Scrubs, Neon Moon, now Somewhere Only We Know... Kacey is one of the most talented vocalists I've ever heard in terms of storytelling and emoting. She makes you FEEL whatever song she's singing.

Yay! So excited!
I hope she does a cosmic rendition of "Oh! What a World"... (even though I also love the "countrier" version she does on tour)

I'm not into country, but I love "High Horse". It makes me want to give her album a chance.

I would say you'll like the album regardless of your appreciation for the genre... the record it's just that great.

So I gave it try. Standouts are Slow Burn, Lonely Weekend, Butterflies, Love Is A Wild Thing, Space Cowboy, Happy & Sad (is my life story), Velvet Elvis, Wonder Woman and High Horse (best song on the album for me). This album is great lyrically and very cohesive if I say so...

So, it's almost that time of year where I trigger my seasonal depression and listen to "Christmas Makes Me Cry" on repeat!

I still don't understand why "High Horse" was not released to country radio. It clearly fits in with what is being played on country radio these days and could definitely be a hit on the format unlike most of her other material. I don't think it's too late and they should still give it an adds date at least.

I'm really wondering what Kacey will perform at the CMAs and Grammys (assuming she gets a spot) because I could see them waiting to try something else on country radio until the CMAs. Whether that's High Horse or something else (probably more likely).
