Too much force like discounts and remix just to hit no.1 or enter top 10 just dissapoints me. But well music is business. Yes.. it is business. The top ten and Hot 100 arenโt a chart ranking good songs. The Hot 100 is a chart of the most popular, i.e. most successful, songs of the week. You canโt shame labels for trying their best to get to the top as that is business. โWe could push this with a remix and it would go top ten but at the same time, we have to be fair to everyone elseโ. Anyway, itโs not like remixes or discounts are cheating. Just because a remix is released or discount introduced doesnโt mean that it is going to have a huge effect on the songโs chart run. People arenโt suddenly going to like the song just because of a discount (remix, yes but then.. so? The chart is there to measure that). And if people do that suddenly like a song because of a discount.. good, that is what the chart measures. In 2016, Alessia Caraโs Wild Things struggled after the huge hit โHereโ. It clearly wasnโt connecting with people, and still wasnโt after a G-Eazy remix

It feels like this song has been out for a literal eternity so I checked and apparently it hit top 50 in Mid-December. So, it will be near/hitting #1 5 months after hitting top 50. I know that isn't like, a cuh-razy time period, but I guess it just feels like it for some reason. I am ready for it to start dropping now so we can get a new song lol. It is a good sign for her though that she had a nice, slow natural progression up the charts with longevity in airplay, sales, and streaming.

Camila's hits seem to be slow burning, Havana took months to reach the Top 10 and another couple months to reach #1. I feel like this song has been around forever as well and I want to her to move onto the next single, but I am loving all this longevity. Camila and Imagine Dragons really make the Hot 100 a bit more interesting, in an era with instant #1 smashes and album bombs, seeing an actual hit start from the bottom and climb to the top is cool.

Havana actually moved pretty quickly. It hit the Top 10 in its 8th week on the chart and went #1 in its 11th week. It was technically around for much longer than that, but keep in mind that they didn't start the pop radio push (or even declare it an official single) out of the gate. Never Be The Same hit the Top 10 in its 12th week and will be going #1 in its 20th. Nothing wrong with that pace, though. The consumption numbers aren't nearly as strong as Havana's. And keep in mind that the initial callouts were weak - that affected its momentum right around the time it was going Top 10.

Iโm lowkey loving the s**tty remix. The Kane sections give some breathing room to forget how horrible her falsetto is. The remix made me realize how bad she actually sounds on this The chorus sounds so much better when he sings it and it made me realize how much of a gravely chipmunk she sounds like

Still can't believe how far this has gone. When it came out, I thought at best it would peak at #4-5.

It was a rocky run at times for this song especially when it got close to the top 10 their were a few days of negative updates then it recovered and took off.

Thanks to Kane Brown. The main version is #21 and discounted. Once this hits #1 on pop, I hope she can move on to a new single.

Camila is #1 on the Building chart so it looks like almost a sure bet for #1 tomorrow. The only thing that could stop it is if The Middle all of a sudden gets a positive update tomorrow but unlikely since it had a -129 update today.

I'm glad it's getting the #1. I 'm sure they are waiting for it to get the official #1 before announcing single #3.
