Background:"Homesick" is the track #12 of Dua Lipa's self-titled album and it was one of the three tracks which she recorded after the album was pushed back from February to June. The song features uncredited vocals from Coldplay's frontman Chris Martin. Personal opinion:When I found out that Dua recorded a song with Chris Martin, I got excited because I like Coldplay's stuff. Based on that, I had some high expectations in this track, which weren't fulfilled when I listened to it for the first time. I mean, it's not a bad song because Dua and Chris's vocals complement each other in the second part of it and I like that it's a piano ballad track, but I assume it would be better? Also, it works as the closure of the album (if the deluxe tracks aren't considered). Favourite lyric:"Here, where the sky's falling / I'm covered in blue."

Background:"Garden" is the track #7 of Dua Lipa's self-titled album, which was performed for the first time live at her UK and European tour this month. Personal opinion:This is a cute song. I like Dua's vocals and the intensity that it has. Also, it's really good the use of the Biblical references as a metaphor in its narrative, like she did it on "Genesis" as well. Favourite lyric:"How did we get lost? Can't get back again / Tell me, is there light on the outside?"

For #12, anyone loses one of their Top 5 and either a #21, but seven people lose one of their Top 10 and one their #20. Also, it has the second lowest standard deviation in this rankdown.

Personal opinion:This is really good and one of my candidates to be released as a single, although I don't think this is going to happen. Also, it's one of those songs that gets better and better after each listen and the instrumental breakdown is amazing. Favourite lyric:"Say you're gonna stay forever / Baby, this is all I want."

I was really excited for Homesick when I heard she was working with Chris Martin, but it turned out to sound just like Everglow which is one of my least favourite Coldplay songs...

Background:"Thinking 'Bout You" is the track #9 of Dua Lipa's self-titled album. The demo of the song, which length is 2:37 min., was uploaded on July 10, 2015 in Soundcloud, while the final version of the track has a length of 2:51 min.. This was released as a promotional single in January of this year and it's one of the first songs that she performed live. Also, it was apparently pushed as a single in the German speaking countries instead of "Lost In Your Light". Personal opinion:This is a cute track and I especially like Dua's vocals on it. Also, the production is good. Favourite lyric:"I can't get high, I can't get by, I can't get through."

I hoped this could sneak in to the Top 10 at least. Even after all this time this remains my favorite Dua Lipa song. Her pure vocals and the overall tone of the song are just so gorgeous and wonderful. And it's also catchy!
The DECCO remix brings even more to the table just listen to it!
Fantastic song
Edit: I just noticed the German comment, I didn't know that :( I wish this would've smashed here

Background:"Bad Together" is the track #16 of Dua Lipa's self-titled album and it's one of the five songs included in the deluxe version of it. Also, it's one of the first songs that she performed live and it was meant to be included in the standard version of the album if it wasn't pushed back. The song has been out since January of this year. It was included in an album sampler with the tracks "New Love", "Be the One" and (a demo of) "Last Dance" and it was sent out to some media last year, but it leaked early this year. However, it should be mentioned that this version is slightly different than the final version because there were some elements added throughout it, especially in the chorus, so it was deemed as the demo version. Personal opinion:Some of you did dirty to this song. I simply can't. "Bad Together" has been one of my favourites from her since I heard it back in January and I'm still pissed that it didn't make it in the standard version of the album when it was meant to happen. Sigh! Everything about this is amazing and it will be, in a perfect world, pushed properly as a single. Favourite lyric:"'Cause, baby, I've been bad, but the heavens forgave me / You don't need to ask 'cause I'm already there."

The DECCO remix brings even more to the table just listen to it! Oops! I forgot to mention the DECCO remix, but it's a good one too. I just noticed the German comment, I didn't know that :( I wish this would've smashed here Technically, I'm not sure about this, so that's the reason why I wrote apparently. I mean, I check the Polydor/Island and Vertigo/Capitol press newsletter weekly and there was a part about Dua Lipa, which mentioned all of their songs that were released as singles, but "Lost In Your Light" wasn't and "Thinking 'Bout You" was, so it made me think about the possibility of that.

Background:"No Lie" is a song from Sean Paul, which features Dua Lipa and was released as a single in November of last year. Personal opinion:I'm not going to deny that the hook is good, but... that's it? The song isn't bad and I like how Sean Paul and Dua interact on it though. Anyway, I'm glad that it gave some exposure to her. As a side note, I remember that one of my local stations put this on rotation, but they didn't mention that the female vocals were from Dua. SMH! Favourite lyric:"Hypnotized, pull another one / It's alright, I know what you want / Get the vibe, it's gonna be lit tonight."

A preview of an acoustic performance of the track was included on her See In Blue documentary for The FADER and you could watch the full performance here, which was uploaded on her YouTube channel later. Personal opinion:This is one of my favourites from her and I wish it would have made the Top 5. Sigh! Like "Garden", the use of the Biblical references as a metaphor works really great in the song. As I mentioned before, I was anticipating this song since I saw her See In Blue documentary for The FADER and a snippet of it was included there, which was really good in my opinion. Overall, this is amazing (in both acoustic and studio versions) where Dua's vocals outshines. I hope this is released as a single. Favourite lyric:"Don't matter what's written / We can start all over again, all over again / Oh, how can I get you all over my skin?"

Background:"Scared to Be Lonely" is a song from Martin Garrix, which is a collaboration with Dua Lipa. The track was premiered during his DJ set at the AVA Festival 2017 in Myanmar for NYE. Personal opinion:Aside the production, which isn't bad, I like this, although I'm not so into the commercial future bass trend and I wish Martin wouldn't have gone with that route to be honest. Either way, I think that both Martin and Dua complement in the track and her vocals are amazing throughout it. I mean, that falsetto! She f*cking did that. :'( As a side note, the acoustic version elevates the song in another level in my opinion. Favourite lyric:"Is it just our bodies? Are we both losing our minds? / Is the only reason you're holding me tonight / 'Cause we're scared to be lonely?"

Background:"Lost In Your Light" is the track #2 of Dua Lipa's self-titled album and it was one of the three tracks which she recorded after the album was pushed back from February to June. The song features Miguel. Personal opinion:Don't get me wrong because of the placement I put this, but this is a grower. I mean, it's enjoyable and I like their vocals throughout the song, but I think this worked better as an album track instead of a single and I don't think it wasn't a good choice to lead the release of the album with this either. Favourite lyric:"Hold me, trust me / Let me ride in your love all night, babe."
