Congrats to SHOOTER for guessing this correctly.



Big Fish was the second single from Vince Staples' recent album Big Fish Theory, and in my opinion easily the best of the three. The production is A1 and actually reminds me of fish, because of the subtle water sounds in the background. Juicy J also provides a great hook and as usual Vince's delivery is top notch.

Explaining the clues -
Clue #1: A stapler. Vince Staples.
Clue #2: This was actually a bit of a double clue. Juicy J is obviosuly featured on the song, but what I intended this clue to mean was Kanye and Juicy J together because they made a song called Ballin', the phrase consistently repeated throughout the song.
Clue #3: Biggie. Big Fish.

Song 5 is... Starboy by The Weeknd & Daft Punk
Surprisingly no one got this, but I think that's because the first clue through them off.


Starboy is a huge number 1 single off of The Weeknd's last album Starboy. It features Daft Punk on the beat, which was a fantastic decision as they made this song a masterpiece. The Weeknd himself is solid and the lyrics are more complex than you would think at first glance. This ended up being my second favourite hit song of last year.

Explaining the clues -
Clue #1: Mac Miller. Yeah this was a weird clue, but it was an effort to make it harder because it is an extremely well known song. So, one of Mac Miller's most well known songs is called Weekend which should help you guess the artist of Starboy.
Clue #2: Stronger by Kanye West, featured a famous sample of Daft Punk's Harder Better Faster Stronger. This, combined with the first clue should lead you to either Starboy or I Feel it Coming.
Clue #3: Star Trek, Star Trek is infamously mentioned in the "Star Trek roof in that Wraith of Khan" line that stood out to me at least.

these clues were probably a bit too hard but I was worried it was gonna be easy because the song was so popular

Song 6: Drowning by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie feat. Kodak Black


Drowning is a single released by rapper/singer A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (dumbest name ever) featuring Kodak Whack. Sounds terrible right?! Well it's not, A Boogie rides the chorus and melody exceptionally well, the piano is beautiful and Kodak Black, is trying (i think).

Explaining the clues -
Clue #1: Kodak. The only artist right now that has Kodak in their name is Kodak Black.
Clue #2: The Cuban flag, Cuba is mentioned in the lyrics a few times throughout the song.
Clue #3: Compton is also mentioned throughout the lyrics a few times.

Runaway was a single off of Kanye's masterpiece 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' that is generally considered the best album of the decade. It has the most beautiful piano throughout the song, a great verse from Pusha T and Kanye delivers a catchy af chorus that all translates into one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

Explaining the clues -
Clue #1: Kanye West, obviously the artist of the song.
Clue #2: A ballerina, that are infamously featured in the music video.
I only had two clues, and made them easy because I wanted to regain interest from people.

Apple Pie was a song from Travis Scott's album Rodeo from 2015. Travis himself, has received recent chart success with songs like Antidote, Goosebumps and Butterfly Effect. This was not a hit, but it is a great song nonetheless with touching lyrics about him leaving his mother and making his own life, buried in the "I don't want your apple pie mama" metaphor.
