Btw, here's some info I posted in the other thread since I didn't realize a new one had been created.
Kat just wrapped up filming aa new movie as well - "Louisiana Caviar" directed by Cuba Gooding Jr and starring him, Richard Dreyfuss and Famke Janssen.
The film is a tale of sin involving good people who, out of desperation, resort to doing bad things that inevitably leave them with life-changing consequences.
She also has the TV movie The Lost Wife of Robert Durst coming up this fall.
Oh and her album is due in September and is to be called "I fall in love too easily". Apparently she will have her own PBS special. And asked about charts at her last concert, Kat said one just needs to like sell 400 copies in order to debut at #1 in the Jazz Charts so she said she'll make sure to buy those 400 copies herself. lmao Love her!
I was hacked sometime in the last few years, and along with other celebrities a few days ago, my private photos were blasted all over some sick and despicable websites. The photos that are mine I am not ashamed of. I love my body and they were taken for a man I was deeply in love with, or for no one but myself. But what is also truly disgusting is that these sites include photos that DO NOT belong to me, and are not of my body, and they do this on the regular to make the more tame photos carry some weight.
The constant exploitation of women with no recourse for these websites is absolutely abhorrent. These sites, which TMZ (thank you so much) brings more light and attention to by calling them out by name (shame on you), should be SHUT DOWN. Period. The end. Even if you aren’t the one hacking, if you have taken stolen photos and put them on your site, you are an accessory and should be shut down and laws need to be changed.
I am not perfect. I never have been and never will be. I try everyday to learn to be better and to always live and lead with kindness and love. But no one deserves this kind of intrusion. I have other friends on these sites, images and videos that were stolen and they cannot get taken down. This is not just a celebrity issue. This is a privacy and sex crime issue that affects private citizens as well. I hope other female victims and men for that matter will help and join me in ending this absurdity. Game on.
Renowned for her powerhouse presence and show-stopping performances, Katharine McPhee possesses a voice for the ages. Audiences first fell under McPhee’s spell during a storied run on American Idol Season 5. Propelled by the smash “Over It,” her 2007 self-titled album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and achieved an RIAA gold certification. 2010 saw her return with two records – Unbroken and Christmas is the Time To Say I Love You. McPhee also co-starred alongside Debra Messing on Smash from executive producer Steven Spielberg. A sought-after performer, she has taken the stage for PBS specials, including Foster and Friends and Chris Botti In Boston. She released 2015’s Hysteria to much fan praise and now, McPhee reimagines, recharges, and reinvigorates a host of timeless jazz standards on her fifth full-length, I Fall In Love Too Easily produced by Don Was (The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt).
Glad to see new music is coming! Hysteria (along with the rest of her discography) is criminally underrated. I'm sure she'll sound heavenly on this jazz album. Excited for her to get that #1 on the jazz chart
Looks stunning! Do you think they changed the album name to Fall In Love With Me?
I don't think so. Her FB/IG posts all call it "I Fall In Love Too Easily". I just think it's something tongue in cheek they are doing with the album title and so. She's also starting a new phase of her career so it does make sense to ask people to fall in love with her, as in rediscovering her and her music.
She's doing a mini residency at Café Carlyle in NYC.
Fans of Katharine McPhee who live in New York City are in for a treat as she is set to perform a series of four concerts at the famed venue Cafe Carlyle.
The 33-year-old performer will make her Carlyle debut on November 21 and she’ll play four shows through November 25.
“Excited to announce I’ll be in NYC at Cafe Carlyle Thanksgiving Week. Tickets now available. Have a wonderful day and God Bless,” Katharine tweeted.
Katharine got her start as a singer on American Idol‘s fifth season and she showed off her musical chops on the NBC series Smash. At the concerts, she will perform jazz standards from her upcoming album titled I Fall In Love Too Easily.
“When people hear it, I hope they recognize that innocence of love. Love is always good, but it can take left and right turns. It can get you into trouble or can bring you back on track. If you’re searching for love, it’s from a naïve and innocent place. The older you get, the wiser you are. It’s so beautiful,” she said about her album.
