Thank God for Hometowns? Interesting. Other than that, she has great taste! LOL. I know. I get why it’s significant for her, it’s obviously relatable for her. But, WAW, GIG, DYTAM, etc... But it was beautiful, nonetheless.

The virtual Fan Club Party is happening right now. She’s performing her favorite deep cuts from each album: Some Hearts: “That’s Where It Is” Carnival Ride: “You Won’t Find This” Play On: “Someday When I Stop Loving You” Blown Away: “Thank God for Hometowns” Storyteller: “Relapse” Cry Pretty: “That Song That We Used to Make Love To” She and I have very different taste. Most of those are not near my top picks.

She’s working on a Christmas album. It’s coming this year.

Also, YES at the Christmas album. Perfect decision. Perfect timing. Perfect.

Considering the 15 year anniversary of “Some Hearts”, I wonder if they work that into the Xmas release - somehow?
That could be a genius marketing move; take everyone back to the golden years of Carrie’s career and incorporate the new Xmas album as a “gift”, per se... No clue how, but just a thought.

If I'm thinking what you're thinking... November 15 was the release date of her debut, and November 13 is the closest Friday in 2020 to that 11/15 date. The debut could be re-released as a double disc, with Disc 2 being the Christmas album. That's probably highly unlikely tho, as the Christmas album will be under UMG/Capitol while the debut album was Sony/Arista.

I don’t like the double-disc idea so much because it’s kinda outdated, you know? I was thinking perhaps a re-recording of “Jesus, Take the Wheel”?
They could do a double-disc release, but that can’t be the only way to buy a physical copy; the Christmas album would need to be available on its own, so I don’t know how worth it a double-disc would be.
I honestly cannot come up with a realistic way it could be done, other than bonus tracks, but it’d be cool if they ended up doing something like this.

I wonder how much of this Christmas album will be traditional versus original songs.

I wonder how much of this Christmas album will be traditional versus original songs. I’m betting heavy on traditional and religious songs. She’s a traditional girl who’s incredibly faithful, so less “Jingle Bells”, more “O Holy Night”... but who knows, it’s anyone’s guess! Also, an album with too much “Jingle Bells” and “Sleigh Ride” might come off a little tone deaf considering the year we’re all going through, and will still be in. In terms of originals, I don’t expect too many at all.

I’m teaching my future kids that in 2020, Carrie Underwood invented Christmas.

Perhaps "Stretchy Pants" will be an original song on the Christmas album? Isn't it set during the holidays?
Speculation but perhaps it was written for this album?

She basically performed my favorite songs for all her albums but Blown Away and Storyteller (From which relapse is on my Top 3, so still amazing).

In this chaotic world, I NEED to hear ‘Someday’, ‘Relapse’, and ‘The Song’ in HQ with her 2020 vocals, which seem to be almost impossibly at a new vocal peak.

I would assume they are supposed to be kept as Fanclub member exclusive content, but that doesn’t mean someone doesn’t have them capped somewhere.
