Carrie did a fantastic job... it’s just the song itself I don’t care for.

Carrie did a fantastic job... it’s just the song itself I don’t care for. I think that would be my assessment of "I Told You So" as well. Carrie sounds great on the song but the song itself I don't care for at all...

Pam Tillis is pretty overrated sorry.
"Pontoon" is horrible and the fact it was nominated for this award is mind boggling since it's not even that well written imo.
Eh at that Miranda Lambert song. It's sad that song has been her last appearance in the Top 5 at country radio though.

This rankdown LBT only making top 60 is shocking to me. I know it's "Pontoon" but still, I was thinking top 30 at least. Top 40 at worst. Considering how I feel about the majority of the songs in this rankdown, having so many of the songs I actually do love/like out already has me like

She is incredible and her music is real Country and not the pop-rap-rock hybrid of the last 10 years. If anything she is incredible underrated I do agree though that "Pontoon" had no business being nominated for this award. Love the song but it isn't anything truly incredible lyrically.

"Pontoon" should've been higher because it's great imo, but at the same time... it's more of a Single of the Year type track than a Song of the Year, so I guess it's okay. Also lolwut @ Pam Tillis being overrated. Only on Pulse would someone say something that ridiculous.

"Don't Laugh At Me" - This song has a great message, but everything about it falls flat to me. Also, it doesn't help that I literally sat around in a circle and sang this song with my 2nd grade class as a child. It is therefore one of those songs that I associate with childhood and can absolutely not take it seriously when hearing it sung by a real singer Lol "Blue" is a great song, but I am okay seeing it leave now. LeAnn is an amazing vocalist, but her material frequently falls short of her talent. "Blue" is one of her better songs, for sure, but I have never built up much attachment to it through the years. "Wagon Wheel" - Gravey gonna be MAD!!! This song is such a breath of fresh air, with its modern neo-trad production, but at the same time it was incredibly overplayed. I don't understand a lot of the hate it gets, but I also am not attached enough to be upset that it is out early. "I Told You So" - Lol what? "One of Carrie's worst singles"?? No. Wrong. This song is amazing, and it is a tragedy to see it leaving already. I figured everything with Carrie would make it to the top 40 easily, if not higher... I guess I was wrong! "All The Good Ones Are Gone" is great, but it is nowhere near one of Pam's best, nor is it even close to being one of the best songs on this list. I'm not disappointed or surprised with this elimination. "Pontoon" is one that I like a lot better now than I ever did when it was on the radio, but I am still not sad or surprised to see it leave. It is nothing but fluff, and the melody is not exactly pleasing to the ears at first. For me it's one where it required a lot of growing on me before it became catchy. "Automatic" lol #2 in the 2014 Country rankdown, couldn't even make the top half in this rankdown... What does that say about the quality of music in 2014?

I think the major reason why Blue is in this rankdown is because of her age. But I just don't like her way of stretching so many syllables from the title. Not sure whether Pam Tillis is overrated (probably no but I haven't checked her other songs yet), but this song doesn't make me want to do that, so yeah. Pontoon...lol at these posts that say Chicken Fried having no business in nominating in this award, I'll say the same for this song. Really this song should not be in country awards nominations anyway. Automatic is overrated. It isn't that good to write about nostalgia.

I love "I Told You So"--Randy's version, not Carrie's. Her cover is just way too loud.
So glad "Pontoon" is out. Hate that song. Well, I don't like LBT in general, but that's one of their absolute worst.

Pontoon - It's a chill, summer song. Not among my favourite from LBT but I still think it was eliminated too soon.
Automatic - This song has everything that I like - nice melody, great theme and Miranda sings it, but I still don't like it as much as I thought I would. It's great song but I never go out of my way to listen to it.

I like I Told You So, but I would agree that it is one of Carrie's weaker singles. Honestly, I enjoy both Randy and Carrie's solo versions...I didn't care for the duet version at all.
I don't know what it is about Wagon Wheel, but that one was always an instant station-changer for me. I can't quite put my finger on what it was about that one that I just couldn't stand.
I love Pam Tillis, but All The Good Ones Are Gone is one of her weaker hits. I had to look up how high this one got on the charts, and I was surprised to see that it got all the way to #4. I don't ever remember hearing it on the radio at all and don't recall ever hearing it until I got into her Greatest Hits album a few years ago.
I'm pretty shocked to see Automatic out already. I thought it would be top 30 for sure.

"You and Tequila" is one of his very few decent songs... but the original by Deana Carter is still infinitely better. I'm glad he cherry-picked a deep cut from her album and turned it into a hit because I love the song and think it's great for her and Matraca that he was able to do that for their song, but it's definitely best left in the more capable hands of Deana Carter.

I feel like the Kenny Chesney version improved everything from the original imo. Then again for me Kenny Chesney is one of my favorite singers, and I always love when he does ballads like these.
