It had 681 spins today and lost 686. It literally lost more than the amount of spins it has... Update: 1029-483 = 546 spins 745-412 = 333 spins Purge level, roughly, will be appx 100 spins/day. She started at 2000 daily spins two freaking weeks ago, so she's 90% of the way there. Subsequent days: 597 552 570 447 438 363 spins today So it has definitely stemmed most of the bleeding at this point. In addition, today's spins will replace last Thursday's, which were only 333. Since it hasn't had such few spins since, unless it drops off a relative cliff again, we should expect an update of about -50 at worst. That all being said, it isn't slowing *enough* in its descent to be salvaging its chance at recurrency - at least not yet. On Sunday, with 9 weeks left until eligibility, it had 4339 spins. It can only afford to lose about 20% of its remaining spins each week to stay above 700 spins (the bare minimum to be top 40 I estimate) by week 20. Even if it has a net loss of ZERO further spins going into this Sunday (i.e. no losses for three straight days), it will still have lost 24% of its remaining spins this week. It still has time to hit the brakes, but the longer it takes to slow the slide, the less room for error it will have. I'd still bet on a purge, but unless Taylor pushes another single hard in the next few weeks, not until around mid-December. |

This sucks so bad in context of the album. Like howlingly so. I have no desire to hear this ever again, it sounded dated and ancient after about two weeks.
I understand she wanted to make a statement and all of that, but ugh. There are better songs on the album.

If enough people hate it enough to turn the station when it's on, then it's outta there... not matter how many people are into it. This is very polarizing so there you go. |
