I like this a lot. The chorus is lacking a bit, but other than that, this is a really solid song.

What surprises me the most is that the majority of the posters in this thread actually like/love it when they had mixed thoughts on "Shake It Off". That's surprising. I thought "Shake It Off" was desperate and bratty when it first came out. I like the bridge though with the "My ex-man brought his new girlfriend, she's like, “oh my God”, but I'm just gonna shake and to the fella over there with the hella good hair, won't you come on over, baby, we can shake, shake, shake?".  |

Listened to it. Interesting for sure. Like the dynamic vocal arrangements, including background vocals. The pre-chorus is one of her best, and the verses, especially the second, are quite strong too. Bridge is ok. Production is good, but would've been much better without so many random bells and whistles here and there. I like dynamism, including the strings and claps, but hearing videogame effects randomly is distracting and cheapening. However the chorus is quite an earsore IMO. It and the bridge suffer from repetitiveness. And it sounds like a NO/Focus/Fergalicious combo that could make it have a high burnout factor. And btw I love I'm too sexy but this is like stripping to its worse. Plus several lyrics of the song are borderline parody  I do applaud her for switching a bit her sound and attitude. Step in the right direction :) In the meantime, I watched the lyric video once, and bought the song in iTunes.... but I've also streamed Despacito 5 times  |
