The lowest Kworb's archive has for the #2 song at the time (Sorry) was 0.1797 That was impressive considering "Sorry" debuted with 277K against "Hello"'s 1.1 million. In comparison, "Despacito" only sold a paltry 83K with all versions accounted for to be #1 on Digital Sales. Even if you ignore Sorry, Hello 'only' pushed the 4-month-old Hotline Bling to 0.11. |

She should really have just cut out the word "old" in the bridge. I doubt anyone called her and said "hi may I please speak with old Taylor?"
If she just says "Taylor can't come to the phone right now" we get the idea.

LWYMMD was released 23:45 or something. If it has enough Thursday sales & airplay over the first days, it might debut at the bottom of the Hot 100. Is that possible? Because if it is, she might tie or break the biggest jump record. Does anyone know what the total spins were for Thursday? I wouldn't be surprised if it was just outside the Top 50 for yesterday alone. Headline Planet said a lot of West Coast stations were playing it 1-4 times an hour from 9pm-midnight. Also, I think we can all agree that the chorus is terrible. Whatever else you may think about the rest of the song, the promo, the music video, the era... this the worst chorus she's ever "sung" |

I like it and how different the sound is for her. What I hate about the modern day music industry is artists aren't allowed to express themselves musically anymore (i.e, Rihanna's Bitch, FourFiveSeconds and Katy Perry's Chained). They have to stick to the same cookie cutter formula in order to get radio play. Instead of the audience letting the music grow on them like they did back in the day, artists are forced to go back into the studio and create some generic mess just to get a hit so they can get the album out(i.e, Rihanna Work). It does a huge disservice to the artist's creativity and catalogue. Had Beyonce wanted commercial success and hit records, we would have never got Beyonce or Lemonade. The main difference being BEYONCE and Lemonade are excellent. This is not. |
