One thing that was missing from 1989 was her "epic" song. Those long buildups like Enchanted and All Too Well. Would be sweet if she led this project with one. She doesn't need radio. If you want to become a respected icon, you break away from playing the radio game like Beyoncé. She's established enough to sell a tour/project without AirPlay.

Taylor got upset because some of her dancers left to join Katy's tour and she even warned her dancers that she would be starting a tour the following year. So unless the dancers didn't tell Taylor, Katy had nothing to do with it. The dancers were with Katy first and they left willingly (well sorta, Taylor fired them). But Katy never forced them to leave Taylor's tour. Taylor, being the 'victim' that she is saw it as a betrayal and refused to even talk to Katy about it and instead wrote a song about it. If anyone bullied anyone, it's Taylor who threw the first punch by writing Bad Blood and saying it was about another pop star that she knew her fans were gonna link to Katy. Hell, even Calvin admitted in a tweet that Taylor was trying to bury Katy.

Edit: And stop playing the victim card with Taylor, almost every major pop star has been by hounded with multiple negative storylines from the media (Gaga in 2013-2014, Katy in 2017, Britney in 2006-2007, Bieber in 2013-2014)

Either way, I know I'll be able to enjoy it on its merits if it's a strong song. Even with her negatives as an entity, I have no problem saying that I think Red is among my top 5 favorite albums of the decade, and I had blast at the 1989 Ethnic Cleansing World Tour with her swinging them double jointed bows mere feet from me and seeing her smile when she saw me singing along.

I think a Drake feature is possible on the album and I don't think the title has been confirmed yet.

This whole Katy v. Taylor feud needs to end. I don't really care about the whole feud, or even know the full story, all I'll say is this; the fight is nothing more than a petty, bitchy feud over who is better, or who did what. If anything both of them are throwing unnecessary shade at one another, over the dumbest of reasons. I like both artists, and will listen to either or, regardless of this feud.

I am hoping they release a radio edit as well.
It was so annoying when Justin Timberlake only put out long versions for "Suit and Tie" and possibly "Mirrors" at first.

To be honest I think Beyoncé stopped making songs for radio because radio stopped playing her. There were plenty of radio-friendly songs in 4 and Beyoncé that radio shunned.

Taylor still has radio's attention. That being said, every word coming out about this song makes me really really nervous. I hope this is isn't a "Russian Roulette" situation.

Other artists and their management could take a page from Taylor and Beyonce's teams so that they can actually keep things under wraps until the very last minute to avoid leaks like what happened with Madonna's recent album leaking nearly 6 months before it was supposed to be released or Fergie's which leaked very early too.

I disagree with this, they're just the best ones at keeping them under wraps and take the most precaution. Some leaks are to test out the product, I agree on that, but not an album or song leaking within a week of release after all the money has already been put into its production, which is the majority of them.
